First I would like to start off that I go to Outback a few times a month. I ordered curbside takeout. Ordered 2BBQ chicken and fully loaded baked potatoes. The bacon for the potatoes was rotten or not cooked all the way. They said it comes precooked. So it must have been bad. I couldn’t even eat it. Also no BBQ sauce for the chicken. I called and was on hold for a few minutes and Paul the manger got on the phone. I explained to him what happened and all he says is ok I give you a credit. I said I don’t want a credit I would like new food and I will drive back to pick it up. He said ok. I get there and he only made one order and had an attitude and what should he do? Doesn’t even look at the rotten bacon. So I just told him to give me my money back. I drove there and back twice and gave the food runner a tip and didn’t get any food! I lost money and drove back and fourth! I felt like Paul could of handled that a lot better! I will be going to the outback on Culver! Can’t believe how this was handled!

I don’t know what happened to the staff. The service used to be good and lately it is absolutely horrible. We live up the street and were usually here 2 a week. I still like the food, but lately the service has been bad enough to keep me away. I would like to see the owner comment and say he’s working on it.

My family visited our Outback restaurant #573 in Foothill Ranch, CA today for a graduation celebration. I have a sister who is highly allergic to sulfates and asked specifically about the ingredients in the Alice chicken. My sister was told no mustard was ever used. The waitress Taci was adamant no mustard was used. It was after my sister had half the chicken she tasted something off. She then re– asked the waitress that there was no mustard used. Taci again assured there was no mustard. Taci returned to our table to tell my sister mustard was used on the chicken. She, Taci, had no idea mustard was used in the dish? Shouldn’t she have asked the chef? My sister is in kidney failure and highly allergic to sulfates. Sulfates are in mustard. I am completely disgusted in the lack of attention given. To a simple request of ingredients used in this dish. This over sight on your employees sight could be life threatening. Is this how your customers are treated? I did not want my sister any more upset than she was at the table. She was in tears. At no time did a Manager come to our table. This is not a simple mistake.

Came to this restaurant for dinner on Thursday 06⁄02 with a party of 3, the food was great and service was terrific! I recently had a not so great experience with the one in Temecula so I am so glad this dinner turned out amazing. My family and I love outback and this location was great!

We have been going here for many years. However, after tonight’s experience I won’t be back. First, the service was terrible. Our actual waiter wasn’t bad but the other staff were pretty unhelpful. We were told there were no baked potatoes left. At all. How does a steakhouse run out of potatoes? Yet tables all around us were getting them after us… Then our food came out and the waiter didn’t know which steak was which, the wrong sides came with the food and we basically had to beg the waiter to bring out the right sides. Then he brought out a bottle of A-1 sauce that was covered in some kind of sauce or something. We order a drink and it never came. The side finally came out and it was MUSH. The veggies were so over cooked we had to send them back. And they finally came out after our meal was over. And, to top it all off, another waiter came and tried to take our plates while we still had half our meal left. This was a really disappointing Mother’s Day dinner. I’ll have to take my mom out to dinner again to make up for this disaster of a meal.

This place used to be awesome when it first opened some odd 10 or 15 years ago. Great service, and a unique slant on great food. Now it’s just the typical boring chain restaurant with lackluster service and unqualified staff. Probably because it has since been taken over by one of the big chain restaurant companies. Upon entering I asked the hostess«if it was possible to be seated with one of their better servers?» She had no idea what I was talking about, like I asked for the zip code of Zurich. I told her never mind and just took our chances with who ever we got. Our server was ok, nothing special, but the food just screamed ‘boring’ and was not any better than eating at Marie Calendars or ordering a steak at Chilis. Since this is a steakhouse with higher prices, you expect the food to be alot better. It isn’t. Also, my food came out cold as it had been sitting in the kitchen I asked them if they could pop it in the microwave for one minute they said sure, and disappeared for almost 10 minutes with my food. About the burger, you have to ask where the burgers are on the menu, because even the server said they are hard to find and you have to look at the lunch menu(this was dinner though). I figured you can’t go wrong ordering a burger at steakhouse, right? Wrong. It sucked. I mean I like really bad, like they took two McDonald’s patties and made a quick burger with nothing special. Trust me when I tell you that Chilis, Fridays, Carrows, Marie Calendars, and every other restaurant around has WAY better burgers than this place. And yes I do believe a steakhouse should have at least one or two good burgers to choose from. This was a joke. It’s pretty clear they want you to spend more money and get a steak so they dont push or even put forth any effort in their burgers. It was a really bad joke. It you must go here definitely skip the burger and get a steak, its probably better. Ive had steaks here before, they are ok — aren’t going to win any awards and are just a step above Sizzler. Dont expect the greatest service and definitely expect a long over-rated wait at both locations during busy times of night. A shame this used to be such a good unique spot.

Fabulous customer service this evening!!! Seriously, after a week of #CustomerServiceFails, dining here tonight was a breathe of fresh air. From the hostesses(Clara, Maria, & Wednesday), to our awesome(on-top-of-it) server Austin, Outback hit a home run this evening. Quick, efficient, genuinely caring, delicious food, and a spirited birthday song for my husband, thank you Outback for a truly wonderful evening! We appreciate you, and look forward to the next time we visit … it will be again, soon

Truth be told, this was just another visit to an outback steak house. Don’t get me wrong: I like the steak. I like the bloomin’ onion and all that mess. The visit this time was a bit off. Food: they had reorganized and redrawn the menu. It took a minute just based on the changeup. The food was the same old food. I usually order the sirloin, but due to having two kids with us that were being less than cooperative — that didn’t happen. in the wake of child management, I lost my ordering time and, frazzled, just pointed to the bone-in t-bone. Big mistake. Asked for a med-rare cook, and they nailed it, but the meat was just too fatty. Cut off a lot of gristle and was left wanting more. Next time, time management will take priority. Steamed veggies were great, and the sweet potato was served so scorching hot, I burned my mouth and tongue. Not their fault — a heads up would have been nice. Bread was the amazing brown bread and butter. But two loaves for four people over thirty minutes? Establishment: Clean, but noisy as all heck. The wait to sit was about 10 – 20, as mentioned in my check in from last night. But the wait for the food, plus the wait for the drinks, plus the wait for the appetizers… man the clock just kept ticking. The waiter was very nice, and almost apologetic, and was quick with any after adjustments such as ranch, ketchup etc… I was almost sold on it being an ok experience until the check came and the waiter had given us the wrong check… and walked away. Turns out that we had the check from the table across from us. Small mistake, but just the straw that broke the back on a mediocre experience. I’ll simply remember that when they come up again on the list of dining options. I’ll drag family and friends here — to this location, if nothing else is open/available. — RTJ

Outback is a place that I don’t willingly want to go to, but only come here if I’m invited out by friends or family who want to go here. This place doesn’t excite me at all. When I think of Outback I think of their bloomin’ onion, which is really good but Ahh! It’s so so greasy and seeing that it’s 1,948 calories for the whole thing just kills it. They have pretty decent baby back ribs here, but not the best I’ve ever had. I came here for lunch yesterday and ordered their chicken sandwich, which looked more like a burger when it arrived. Their fries are pretty boring and don’t taste like much. Also didn’t think their sandwich was very interesting. Have also tried their chicken tacos, which also don’t taste like much, unfortunately. I do enjoy their chicken Caesar salad though! It’s pretty good but not worth coming here just for that salad.

Granted, Outbacks overall quality has slipped drastically in the past decade, but to be clear this review is not in reference to that greater chain-wide issue. Relatives live nearby so on rare occasion we get some food, usually to-go, from this Foothill Ranch location. It really is poor-quality, but sometimes a guy just needs a steak, knowwhatimean? And there’s not a whole lot of choice for steak in the immediate area. Despite the overall poor quality and low expectations, we recently placed a to-go order that tallied just shy of $ 100 for a few meals, and an appetizer. We picked it up, paid, and went home, only to discover they had given us the wrong to-go bag. There was a salad, some bread, and a chicken dish; a far cry from what we ordered. I called the restaurant and they knew immediately what had happened because the other person had not been given their order either. They said to come back and they’d replace it, but I explained that we were already a long way away and couldn’t make it back that night. They said they had made a note of my name and to come in any time to have the meal replaced. Fair enough. Fast forward a few weeks to the next time we were headed past the restaurant, and I call to set up the replacement order. Paul got on the phone with me, telling me he was the«proprietor», and proceeded to tell me that he had no record of the incident and that there was nothing he could do for me. So there we have it; poor quality food, incompetent service, unhelpful management. It’s the ultimate one-star experience. Also, Google«Outback Steakhouse meat quality», for further affirmation of the poor quality.

First ever time inside an Outback Steakhouse and I was very impressed. Food was fresh, carefully prepared and extremely well balanced. Cost was extremely reasonable, AMAZINGFREEBREAD, perfect mixture of soft and crispy. I was literally stunned by the wine and how great it was, «just,» the house merlot. Our server was Alexandra C. She was extremely courteous and helpful, always there the moment we needed! Wife and I have been all around to fine dining and this was really good for both of us. Oh, and gotta love that country music is followed by Michael Jackson… Thumbs up Outback.

Alright in my book. To me, Outback Steakhouse is Outback Steakhouse. Meaning, it’s a freaking chain. You can’t expect too much or settle for too little. I happen to be in the area & craving a steak and margarita. Yes you read that right steak and margarita haha. After driving 2 miles low & behold what do I see? Outback! We were seated immediately. A few minutes after being seated we were greeted by our very friendly waiter. From there, I have no complaints. Our service was excellent. We took advantage of the Sunday happy hour and got house margaritas. After one each, we upgraded to non-happy hour down under margarita. The house one wasn’t strong enough:-) We both got the same thing — Outback sirloin, medium well. Steak was cooked perfectly. While I doubt I’ll ever be in the area to go back to this location and I usually don’t eat at places like this, I had a good meal here on Sunday.

I’ve come here a few times after we go to the movies at the Regal Theatre down the street. Always nice to have a steak after eating a bunch of buttery movie popcorn and a thirty two ounce cup of soda. When we got there we were told the wait would be twenty to thirty minutes, but we ended up only waiting about ten. We got off easy this time. Our waitress was very social and friendly. She checked on us a few times during our meal and I always appreciate that. I started with a wedge salad and split it with my Mom. I like their wedges there, they put a bunch of blue cheese dressing on top, which I love. My entrée was the medium rare six ounce Victoria’s filet with mixed veggies that I always get, but this time I added on the onion petals. The onion petals needed some salt and I got a side of ranch dressing for dipping, I got a lot more onion petals than I expected though which was nice. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly, but was in a kinda weird shape. I also tried some of my Mom’s seafood trio thing that she got. The coconut shrimp had way too much breading on them. I just took most of the breading off to get to the shrimp, at least the shrimp were clean. The ahi tuna pepper seasoning overpowered the fish, but it was seared perfectly. This is why I always stick to my steak at Outback. For dessert I ordered the sinful sundae to share. I just really wanted some ice cream. The sundae turned out better than I expected. It had sliced strawberries all around it and the ice cream was coated in toasted coconut which gave it a good crunch. Really good dessert.
