Family owned restaurant. I got the chicken rotti for 9.95. Half a chicken, flavored so well. Came w a side of sauce the chicken was cooked w. I enjoyed every bite of it. I couldnt finish it in one sitting. The second meal was yummy even when reheated. I love the slaw that comes w it. I will definitely return to try everything else on the menu.

Me and my boyfriend tried this gem last night, and we are immediate fans! I love the feeling of a good family ran buisness, and this the epitome of that. The food was AMAZING, we had trouble deciding it all looked so good. We went with the lemon grass beef over noodles & the spicy pork sandwich. Both cooked to perfection. Tons of flavor! Wasn’t greasy or fatty so we didn’t leave feeling like we over did it. The bread was freshly baked which makes all the difference. You can watch the owner prepare his food for you right in front of the whole resturaunt, which is always a plus for me. Clean, astetcially looks so inviting yet trendy. I love the meaning behind the name as well, struck a good cord with me! The owner is adorable! So friendly we last min decided on beignets to go and he made us a little creation with hazelnut on top to try there on the house. Such a sweet man that makes you«feel like home» We will definetly be back very soon xoxo

A question I ask after trying a new place is, «Would I eat here again?» I came here with my son and his girlfriend for lunch. There were only a few people when we came in at around 1p.m. so no problem with waiting in long lines. It took a while to get our order and although the plating is nice and the food looked good, it was mediocre at best. In addition, for what you get I’m not sure it warrants the price they are charging. I had the lemon grass tofu which was quite dry and lacking in flavor. My son had the spicy banh mi which he said was okay and his girl friend had the spicy pork bún. There was nothing that would make us come back. If I’m craving Vietnamese food, Eleven 46 is not where I would go. On a positive note, the place was clean and fairly modern

Wow came here for lunch & let me tell you I was not disappointed! The portions are huge and it was delicious ! I had the half spicy pork beignet and 1 shrimp springroll. I have definitely found my new Vietnamese go to place ! The owner is so nice and friendly. We had a nice chat ! I will definitely be coming back.

I picked up lunch here today since my Mom and I were going to visit my Dad at the fire station. The place was almost empty, there was only one other customer there. It was pretty quite inside. The layout of the place was very nice, mostly made from wood. Their menu was written on a chalk board above the cash register. I ordered the chicken roti on top of salad with a shrimp spring roll and soda lemonade. Pretty much all of the employees there seemed kinda bored and tired, not very happy. They don’t make their food to order here. It’s prepared before and sits under a heater until they put it all together. Even though everything is cooked already, it still took a few minuets for my order to be ready. It’s probably better if you call ahead. I got my food first and shortly after my soda lemonade. They had to make my drink behind the bar, it’s probably homemade. I tried my lemonade on our way to the fire station and it was really refreshing. Although it didn’t seem like a soda at all, no bubbles, it was just a lemonade. When we got to the fire station and sat down to eat with my parents and the rest of the crew at the station. I dug right in. The chicken and the salad were packaged separately. They do a really good job of packing their food to go. Nothing spilled and everything was right where it was supposed to be. I served myself some chicken, salad and half the spring roll. It was a lot of food so it was good that my Mom and I were splitting. I tried the spring roll first and it was just ok. There just wasn’t enough shrimp in it, I could barely taste it. I really liked the dip for the spring roll though, those pickled radishes are nice, not too pickley almost fresh. The salad was good and I liked the peanut dressing for it. The chicken of course was the star. The skin was the best part of course. It had a little bit of a sweetness to it that I liked. It tasted really good if you put some Sriracha on it. The sauce it was served with helped with some of the dry spots. The chicken was a bit dry in some places and it wasn’t all that warm, maybe about room temperature. I wish it was just a little bit warmer. My Dad tried some of the chicken and he really liked it. My Mom just thought it was ok. This place wasn’t bad, but it had some downfalls. I might come back to try something different, maybe also get a beignet or two.

I’m really a big fan of this place. Nicely decorated, clean, and open space. They’re one of the few restaurants that have survived in that plaza over the past few years, which definitely says something about it. I’m glad that more homes are being built around the area and more people are finding out about this restaurant! It’s awesome. 100% recommend. On my most recent visit, I had the lemongrass beef with white rice, which was very good! It was cooked fresh to order, which made the wait a little longer than other restaurants, but the wait was well worth it. The beef was flavorful and cooked nicely. I would say that there could have been a LITTLE more meat with the order, as nearing the end of my meal I was eating just rice and onions without any meat left… Still, I would order this again because it was really tasty! I also ordered the Eleven46 Ice Coffee, which was SUPERGOOD. I am a big fan of Vietnamese Ice Coffee, but this ice coffee is way creamier and less bitter. It also wasn’t overly sweet — and this is coming from someone who prefers to drink coffee black. After I told the owner that this ice coffee was amazing, he told me that he uses a different type of coffee bean, italian style, which is why his ice coffee is less bitter. I don’t know if I can go back to drinking regular vietnamese ice coffee anymore. Also, on my most recent visit, the owner threw in a complimentary taco for me to try! I didn’t even realize he did this while I was chatting with him. He gave me my food and we started talking about the restaurant, his food, the ice coffee, etc. just random other stuff. Got home, sat down to eat, and saw that he had written on the take-out box: «taco to try-out» and included one wrapped neatly in foil on top of the box. What a nice surprise! To top it all off, the taco was DELICIOUS. To be honest, I liked it even more than the lemongrass beef and will probably return sometime soon to just order a bunch of tacos… Do yourself a favor and come try this place out. ^_^ Also, I was reading in some other reviews that this place(being vietnamese fusion) has some dishes that don’t even taste vietnamese… for example, a french dip sandwich tasting just like any other french dip and not Vietnamese at all… and thus they rated this place lower. Um. History lesson: France colonized Vietnam, which is why vietnamese cuisine uses baguettes, includes beignets, AND, what do you know… french dip sandwiches. 0:)

Photos of sandwich today and really sad service I received coming in during their lunch hour called for a review update. No AC, everyone was sweating standing in line :(As often as I’m here, the service is super great when the older gentleman helps me, but lately it has been super, yes, super inconsistent. I have to be fair. Today was the most disappointing. I expected a wait. But 25 min… I even went to sit in my car I needed AC and then caught their door closed a few min later as a que that their AC kicked on. That was wise. I walk back in to sit. Waiting around I see a tray of sliced onions sitting on the café countertop exposed. I see one fly buzzing around. I see a large clear bag of what looks like sweet potato fries(it was orange) sitting on a shelf with the napkins and dining ware? Doesn’t that need refrigeration? When I get the bag handed to me, and thank you for that, no words of acknowledgment ie sorry for wait, enjoy, etc. the bag is lopsided, not flat, I check my order in the car and the baguette is cold. $ 10.91 for their tri tip sandwich was a sad way to spend lunch today. Contemplate going back in but I am late to get back to work. Sit down to eat and the cold sandwich feels and looks so pitiful without that array of shoestring fried onion… I open it to see crumbs. The meat was way too fatty and that was a first! I hope they return to their better quality of food and become more consistent, no matter how busy it can get.

I really don’t understand what is to love about the food, other than their beignets. Their tri tip dip sandwich is good, but it doesn’t taste Vietnamese or even Asian at all! If I ate it blindfolded at some sandwich shop, I would think it’s any typical French dip sandwich! Their lemon grass beef with rice is bland and slightly too chewy… I’d rather get a Yoshinoya beef bowl. The Mama’s chicken is okay… but it’s nothing special. Roti is decent here and the vermicelli noodles taste like every other Vietnamese place in SoOC. They cook everything to order so expect a wait that is a bit longer than a typical QSR. Like I said, the beignets are the best thing I had in this joint. The inside is clean and inviting. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a look, but I frankly wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

I can to the Irvine area for business for a few days and had a craving for phở. I checked out this place because of the reviews on Unilocal. However they only serve phở on Wednesday and Saturdays!!! The owner told me it takes 16 hours to make the broth so that is the reason. It must be good! Oh well I ordered the spicy beef on cold vermicelli, Asian slaw and of course the beignets. It was delicious. The beef was tasty and the beignet was freshly made. I actually never had beignets before until today. It’s like a very light puffed up donut with icing sugar dusted on top. It hit the spot after a full day of meetings. The staff was friendly as well. I was only disappointed that I didn’t get to have my phở. I vow to come back for the phở on my next business trip!

Damnit, Eleven46 Kitchen! Why does your food have to be so good?! We were off to a bit of a rocky start due to some miscommunication as I ended up paying almost $ 20 for what I thought were two banh mi. Believing that the slick old man behind the register had just ripped me off, I walked to my table highly irritated. Add that to the fact that I have a deep-seated aversion towards asian fusion, I was ready to write a review highlighting every flaw in my meal and tear Eleven46 a new a**hole. They were well on their way to a one-star review when my order, a lemongrass tofu banh mi, arrived and turned out to be their lemongrass beef. I fell back in line to return my sandwich and the man was very apologetic and replaced brought me the correct sandwich himself. Moreover, that was probably the best tofu sandwich I’ve ever had! The texture of the tofu was spot on as the outside was slightly crispy and the inside was soft yet firm enough to hold up in a sandwich. The bread was also similar with the crispy outside and fluffy/airy inside due to rice flour. Plus it seemed fresh! That secret spread they used was tasty. Furthermore, the sandwich was rather large. I was pretty full haha. As for the second sandwich, the man behind the counter offered the possibility of a chicken roti banh mi and we would just had to assemble it ourselves. I thought they would only provide a few pieces of chicken and I would just debone them. They gave us half a chicken… Well that’s why my total came to $ 20! That chicken lasted several meals haha Though I’ve had better chicken roti, Eleven46’s was very tasty and looked beautiful. It came with a choice of side and we opted for the sweet potato fries with their spiced dip. The fries were whatever but that dipping sauce was pretty solid. Service turned out to be great and friendly. Food came out in a timely manner. All in all, I actually like Eleven46 and I’m intrigued by their coffee/tea station and their beignets. I don’t know if I’ll be back as I’m hardly ever in the area, but I will keep them in mind. Come check them out!

This is our go-to place for Vietnamese food and they make the BEST coffee around!!! What makes this place extra special, apart from the exceptional cappuccinos and beignets, is the fantastic service. The staff are warm and friendly and the owner, Yun, goes out of his way to accommodate his customers and make them feel welcomed. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner or dessert :)

This is an excellent place for a banh mi sandwich! Their dunk and dip tri tip is delicious, the bread is backed fresh in house. Literally melts in your mouth. I’ve also had the moms chicken with rice and it’s super tasty. It’s a healthier /fresh version of a typical Maui chicken style plate. The Asian slaw is yummy! Their sweet potato fries are great, especially with the sauce it comes with. They also make fresh beignets that you gotta try! This is one of our go to places to visit. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.

Loved discovering this gem tucked away in a plaza. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Very casual, and the food is really spot on. I got the lemongrass tofu bun, which was wonderfully flavorful. Tofu was cooked perfectly with a little crisp to the edges. Beignets were sweet and pillowy. The only thing i wouldn’t order again are the veggie spring rolls. Not much flavor, and one of the rice wrappings was a little dry at the edge. But complimentary chocolate coconut beignets at the end were so good I will still give 5 stars. :) Side note — phở is only served Wednesday and Saturday.

I feel like a kid who waited with wild anticipation to see a famed magic show and the rabbit comes hopping out from behind a screen before it can be pulled from a hat. Or however they do that trick… Well, I guess I kinda felt like that when I met David Copperfield, who’s a total d*ck, but that’s a different story for a different day, one that doesn’t involve fast casual Asian food. Where the HELL are these 4 and 5 star reviews coming from!?? Yes, I stand here with an accusatory hand on my hip, tapping my shoe. Hm? Elite? I really hope I caught Eleven46 kitchen on a bad day, because it was exceedingly disappointing. I was surprised to find such a popular place tumbleweed-dead at lunch today. Poor girl at the register told me it was her 3rd day and that’s why she was so clueless. And while I sympathize, where is her trainer? She didnt know to ring an iced tea under«soft drink» until the owner stepped in. Next strike: I waited 20 minutes for a carry out order. Say it with me, ya’ll…TWENTYMINUTES. I’m sorry, this is unforgivable at a fast casual joint with no other business going on. I have about 7ish minutes to get from work to here, then back. 15 killed. 5 ordering with newbie, 20 waiting on food and I’m left with 20 minutes to eat and relax before going back to work. I might have accepted this time constraint if the food was amazing as I’d expected, however it was not. And watching the cook dump frozen sweet potato fries in the fryer I kinda expected mediocrity. I’m sad, I wanted this place to be amazing. The lemongrass beef was decent, however the portion size for ten bucks was laughable and I picked burned shallots out of the entire dish. I can’t imagine I’ll be back. I feel like I’ve been bitching for an hour. #longassreview

In Foothill Ranch(as of today), you really don’t have a lot of Asian food choices. Eleven46 does a pretty darn good job with the quality & consistency of their food(for what I’ve had tried). I’m not huge fan of Banh Mi so I avoid that. It’s a family-owned joint & I totally support mom/pop shops! Nuon & his wife are very accommodating & super hard working! If you work or live around the area & haven’t checked out this spot — give it a try! : VENUE/SERVICE : I love how it’s a high ceiling establishment — so I don’t feel claustrophobic. Indoor seatings are of dark wood & dark flooring. Hardly any décor. Lots of table seating & a few«bar» seatings. No alcohol served. They got flat screen tvs so you don’t have to be on your smart phone all the time: X This is not a full service restaurant. So don’t arrive expecting a superb service. There is no host/hostess at the door to serve or seat you. Most of the restaurants in this plaza isn’t set up that way. It’s self-order & self-seating. So when you step foot into this door dont be shy & go place your order with the cashier & find a spot to enjoy your meal at. Grab your own water/soda, condiments & utensils in the corner section. Service from the staff isn’t top notch but they do, do their job. Most of the staff are young and i’ve seen many come & go. Also, at times they are understaffed. But regardless, they’ve been friendly for all the times I’ve dined there. : FOOD(LUNCHTIMEONLY) : On average, the timing of the food coming out has been pretty consistant for me thats because I tend to go after the crazy lunch hour rush. I’ve seen how busy they get during lunch time & people have waited awhile for their food. Lemongrass Beef on Salad(5⁄5) Lemongrass Beef w/Vermicelli(5⁄5) Mom’s Chicken w/Rice(4.5÷5) Sweet Potatoe Fries(4⁄5) Asian Slaw(5⁄5) Beef Phở(4⁄5) Dinner Rolls(5⁄5) Beignet(4⁄5) Vietnamese Iced Coffee(4.5÷5)

The food here is so cheap and so yummy! For $ 10, you can get two meals’ worth of food, and the variety is fantastic. You can build a plate and 1) choose between starch/carb items(rice, cold vermicelli, bread), 2) choose between meat(two kinds of chicken, pork, beef, tofu), and 3) choose a side(fries, sweet potato fries, etc). There are, of course, other items and specials to select, such as banh mi and soup noodles. Everything seems like such a great deal! We selected a plate with noodles, roti/rotisserie chicken, and fries. And boy, was I delighted when the food came out! There were two huge pieces of chicken and a big bowl of cold vermicelli. The noodles were like any other cold vermicelli, but the chicken was just exquisitely flavorful! We didn’t even need to use the sauce. And even between the two of us, we couldn’t finish this meal! I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m feeling like Vietnamese food in RSM.

Found this place on Unilocal when I was craving Phở one day. First time I came I found out they only serve Phở on Wednesday and Saturdays. I decided to come back on a Wednesday and came again after. So far, I’ve tried: *Phở — The broth is so yummy! The only thing I noticed is that the broth seemed more fatty than what I’m used to. They only have one type of Phở, which is rare beef with meat balls. I’m not disappointed at all since it’s what I always order at any phở place I go to. They only have one size as well, which is the average size for I believe $ 7.50. *Lemongrass Beef Bahn Mi — Oh, the bread was perfect with the Lemongrass Beef. Everything in it just went well together. This is something I’d get again. *Shrimp Chips — This comes as a side with you order. The shrimp chips taste like the shrimp chips I buy at Filipino/Asian markets. :) *Spicy Pork w/Rice — The first time I wanted to order this, they ran out. Knowing that they ran out that night made me really curious of how good this was. I finally tried it and it was just okay. It reminded me of Tocino(Filipino food) and maybe that’s why it was just okay for me since I was expecting it to be more different than what I’ve had. I’ll give this another try, maybe it’s better with the bread? *Beignets — Never had it before, so I decided to try it. It’s only $ 2.50 for 3. It was very fluffy and they make it fresh. It tasted like a donut, just not as sweet and doughy which is perfect for me. :) *Egg Rolls — Cannot pass up on trying egg rolls. It’s $ 4.95 for 3 large rolls; and when I say large, they are bigger than the ones you order at any other restaurant. The egg rolls I believe were pork, it was yummy!(10 minutes for them to fry) Overall experience have been awesome. Though they did forget o give us our drink orders once and my sauce for the egg rolls but I heard the waiter that day was in training so no biggy. I’ll be coming back here again for some Vietnamese food, love the Lemongrass beef! YUMMYYUM-YUM!
