My Mom and I picked up some lunch here. The place is very clean and organized. My Mom ordered first, she got a burrito and she put the order in my name so I could pick up her food while she left and went to pick up phở for my Dad. I went up to the register and ordered three tacos, two fish tacos with flour tortillas and one shrimp taco. I also got a soda and put the order in my name. The cashier was confused at first, but then I told her the situation and she was fine with it. She was very nice and friendly. I filled my soda cup and then got some little containers for a couple different types of salsa. I love how they tell you which salsa goes with what like how the green tamatillo salsa pairs well with seafood. I also got a couple of limes for my fish tacos. I sat at a high table for a few minutes and waited for out food. Mom’s burrito was ready first and right after my order was ready. The tacos turned out really good. I liked the batter on the fish tacos, it’s seasoned well. But I wish the shrimp taco had more than just four pieces of shrimp in it, that’s a bit of a rip off. Overall it’s a place with good and convenient food options.

if you are vegan or have food allergies beware. every trip of mine has ended with error and negligence. trip 1: Anaheim outside Angels stadium: 3 pieces of carne asada were found in my order that I clarified as needing to be meat and dairy free. trip 2: bacon was put on my item that the menu said it did not come with. and cheese was put on my items. again, I clarified at the counter that I could not have either of these trip 3: I spent the weekend in agonizing pain after eating at the foothill establishment and have continued nausea and possible other issues. that day I ate priorly at a vegan only café, dairy and meat cause me to bloat to a point where I look pregnant, my stomach is rock hard and I am in so much pain I can’t move. which is what occurred within a few hours of consuming rubios ‘veggie’ tacos. so please beware. allergies, etc are obviously not taken seriously here.

Not bringing enough lunch from home to the office, decided to pick up some Rubio’s to keep my hunger pains away. This and the fact that I’m trying to get my Tap 10 in for Android Pay for a free Chromecast helps too. Conveniently located right across my office building, I walked on over to Rubio’s and ordered steak fries. I’ve had their nachos before and typically I wouldn’t complain. They’re not exactly the most amazing nachos I’ve ever had, but usually they’re good enough and sometimes even great with the right amount of onions and salsa. With that being said, I jumped right into it upon getting back to my desk and to my utter disappointment, the nachos overall just didn’t fit well with me. I’m not really sure if it was the very dry and chewy steak or the plethora of beans they dumped on top of the chips… either way, there was not enough onions and salsa to salvage my unfortunate and terrible meal. Sorry Rubio’s, I usually don’t go to you when I crave Mexican food, but when I do, I at least expect decent quality food instead of sub-par garbage that you’re going to charge me almost $ 10 for. *shakes head*

Their burritos and tacos are pretty good but it’s pricey. I’ve had a chopped salad too and they aren’t stingy. Lunch hour gets pretty packed though so go early or you’ll have to wait in a long line.

If you like fish and if you like tacos, you’ll love Rubio’s fish tacos. Their other items are good too but the main reason I go here is for the fish tacos. They’re extremely tasty and larger than I expected(that’s what she said). In my opinion this is one of the better locations, the staffs are nice and helpful. And my fish tacos always come out so delicious. I also really like their sauce options.
