Friendly service, consistent food and a good value with coupons(online or newspaper). I have never encountered an unhappy employee and it can get crazy there around dinner time with all the guests and young children. Plenty of healthy options with an endless supply of vegetables. Pre-mixed salads or make your own. Dessert options are there if you want to reward yourself or just ignore any diet. I prefer the healthy choices myself. I recommend leaving a small tip for the staff. They definitely earn it more than other sit down restaurants I have been to.

After reading a handful of reviews for souplantation I had to leave a review. The restaurant is very clean and the tables are always being bussed. The food is not five stars but remember we are working with Buffet food. Overall this location is great and the staff is very friendly. If you are looking for five star food that is cooked to order than you might want to find another place to eat. Chuckie cheese is next door.

This place is great. Perfect for me and my 3 yr old daughter for quick and yummy lunch or dinner. The salad bar was fresh and everything was clean and organized. My daughter had a nice bowl of chicken noodle soup. Thick noodles and lots of chicken. She loved it. Although I wish there were veggies in it. Also a fan of the Mac and cheese and the cheese/pizza sticks. They were hot and fresh. I loved the broccoli cheese chowder! As far as the restaurant it was kept clean and tables were cleared promptly. The food spaces were all very tidy as well. We will be back for sure.

This is also one of my favorite restaurants, no matter which location. Very nice environment for family dinner and of course, dinning alone as well. Food is very healthy and yummy.

Love coming here every week with my boyfriend. Staff is always nice and are always helpful. I forgot her name but this nice woman I had met before was so sweet enough to get my favorite tomato soup that was not ready to be out yet. She came to me and told me it was almost done and that she would bring me a bowl. Because we came in early I was telling her I would be sad to miss out on that soup and she took care of it by bringing a bowl not just for me but one for my boyfriend as well. I will be sure to get her name and write another review because she is that awesome. This location is great and even when busy, there is space for everyone.

Use to be real good tasting… not so much now«and» it got real pricey$$$! The service(staff) are super nice here and even at the busiest times, they somehow seem to keep up with clearing the used plates out.(4stars) Maybe it just turned into«the same ol’.same ol’ «for us. For the same price… but more selection and tastier food item… Sizzler 10 minutes down on El Toro Rd.(Great Salad Bar with way better add on’s)

My husband and I love going to Soup Plantation in Foothill Ranch. We went there for dinner last night. They have a new deal for seniors, Monday — Thurs until 5 pm dinner is only $ 7.99 and that includes beverages, unlimited soda, punch, and coffee. The food has always been fresh. I stopped making salads at home because I like a huge variety of veges to add in. At home most of my salad items go bad in my fridge and get thrown out! The soup choices are great and the chili is yummy. They now have baked sweet potatoes, yum! I love that I don’t need to heat up my house with the oven. Last night they had hot chocolate lava cake which I topped with soft serve swirl ice cream for desert. They have bags of freshly baked cookies at the checkout counter for $ 1.99. I always get two thinking that I will give one away. Ha! I always eat them all!

The Chinese Chicken Salad is now the Wonton Chinese Salad. What changed? No fucking chicken. At all. If you’re lucky, you can dredge the chicken noodle soup(which should be more accurately called chicken flavored noodle soup due to lack of chicken content) to search for meat, I got more noodle than meat though. Place is crowded as fuck for mediocre food and no real promise of protein unless you attack the tuna taragoon. Damn these people. The ONE saving grace they had after torpedoing chocolate chip cookies from the bakery section and charging folks for it. I hope everyone of these places get shuttered for sticking it to us. If you’re a vegetarian that is keen on eating carbs and vegetables, you found your spot. For the price, $ 11.69+$ 2.49 for a drink, I call bullshit.

I haven’t eaten at a Soup Plantation in a while. I don’t think I will again anytime soon. The chicken soup used to be my favorite thing here but it was almost flavorless and watered down. The«chunks» of chicken were dry and tasteless. The salads were way over dressed with watery dressing. Very disappointed.

I enjoy souplantation for lunch and dinner. I will always give them B+ or A-. Always consistant and good. Today Sunday, 7÷19÷15 decided to try breakfast with my girlfriend. Food was ok. Eggs were clumpy and dry, no meat products such as bacon or sausage. I would say the country potatoes were good as well as the buttermilk biscuits. The gravey was very good as well. Cinnamon rolls were warm and delicious. French toast also gave decent and warm. Overall i would say C– or D+. What we found odd was most of the servers were eating their breakfast next to us. So their was nobody free and seemed busy to clear our plates and trays. As we looked at their and we wondered why that food was arenot here for the customers. They had amazing looking mexican rice and freshly made eggs, Bacon and sausage, fresh totillias. We felt left out from what they had compared to we had a choice from. Then the mangager walks over and grabs a plateful of her own and went to town. Souplantation you need to expand you breakfast selection. This area needs a good breakfast location. I think if was unfair for your employees to eat in front of us with better food then you serve us. what was odd is we sat in a section close to the food

Came here for lunch today with my girlfriend and was not disappointed! Out of all the soupplantations around the Irvine area I thought this one was definitely the cleanest and had he most fresh food for their customers. It also didn’t have a lot of people which made it a more quiet place to eat, which I greatly enjoyed. Could definitely see myself coming back to this location for some awesome soup and salad!

Do not come to suplantation today. The soups are watery, the chicken soup does not have chicken, the vegetable soup is missing all the veggies, and the same goes for the onion less soup. What is going on Suplantation? I love this place, but I am very disappointed today.

Very shamefully I freakin’ love this place. I can always get a great salad and some tasty soup and leave satisfied. I have to not think too hard about it being a salad bar which serves a bunch of other grubby hands, but they give the impression of keeping it very clean. I’m fooled! I’ll be back. Cream of mushroom soup and the chipotle tomato soup were both so good!

I like this Souplantation location because it is bright, airy, well-kept, and the staff is always pleasant and attentive. The salad bar is always clean and kept well-stocked. Standard soups are always chili, clam chowder, chicken stock soup, and creamy tomato. All are always consistently good. What especially empresses me with this location however are the super-attentive bus people who pay attention to clear your dishes and tables. It’s a well-managed location, and my family makes it our favorite.

Very good service here Manager came over gave my kids some cookies from one of his cashiers. The food was fresh and up to par for a salad bar. The service would be the reason I will definitely return with my family.

As expected. They’re called Sweet Tomatoes out in the Midwest, this must be the west coast clone of said overpriced salad bar offering soups and soft serve ice cream for dessert. I was still feeling a little sick to my stomach after suspected food poisoning the night before, so I opted for a simple lunch of soup and salad. It was, as I said, expected. Pedestrian. Salad bar. Overpriced beverage. Soup bar. Various breads. The curried lobster bisque that I’d imagined in my head(which could be executed beautifully, I’m sure, in a fine-dining establishment somewhere in Newport Beach) didn’t meet my hopeful expectation. Meh. Too sweet, needed salt. Needed acid. The lobster was non existent, as expected. The tomato-basil soup I replaced it with was slightly more satisfying, as were the corn bread and sour dough offerings with honey whipped butter. Now we’re talking a decent lunch. Decent lunch… tempered by children with no observed manners relating to others in their immediate vicinity bring my star rating down to a two. Punky Brewster ran by my booth at such a speed to whip my napkins into the air. Brat, you might be eight but I will throw a leg out«accidentally» next time you attempt that crap. Parents at buffets are food blind, apparently. I won’t spend another hour away from work sitting here. I’d rather listen to the fascinating shit-show of a cashier over at Taco Bell/Pizza Hut on Towne Center who rambles on in full customer earshot about her boyfriend who’s in jail who she cheated on but who still wants her back I mean they WERE on a break but even though he doesn’t understand that they’re not meant to be together he won’t stop contacting her but hell who’s gonna wait ten years for a guy who stabbed another dude but she should get a restraining order because when he gets out he’s gonna wanna settle the score with her anyway BLAHBLAH. I got a hundred bucks for any jeweler who wants to throw these two gems a comp engagement ring. They really sound meant to be. Writing that run-on was really painful for me grammatically, by the way. I hope you all appreciate the effect

Due to my love for healthy eating, this place will always be a place I’ll love going to. In comparison to the Irvine location, it’s about the same other than the layout. The layout here is a bit more squished for getting your food, but other than that this place is pretty up to par. Somethings to try! — Make a mini-pazooki: Get a fresh Fudge Brownie and add some Frozen Yogurt to it — Similarly you can make a Blueberry Muffin Sundae, take the top off the muffin and throw in some frozen yogurt and put the cap back on and nom down.

I really like the salad selection here and most other food here. My mom got sick shortly after eating here today and it likely is from something she ate so I’m tempted to take stars away but I’ll treat that as an outlier since I’ve been many times and never got sick. Really, the only problem I have is that it is AYCE and I eat too much. The cost has gone up, too and even the coupon family deal is $ 10 more than it was a year ago. The seasonal variety is nice, too. There are often new things to try. There was coconut slaw, curry bean soup, bean and barley soup, turkey chili and the standard clam chowder which is still my favorite. They also have baked potato, flatbread, pastas and good Dreyers soft serve ice cream with toppings. Coffee is good, too — Columbian and Vanilla Nut.
