I have been to this doctor a few times over the years. Both personally and accompanying my parents. The doctor is knowledgeable, but lacks bedside manner. I felt like he was a little too rough with both of my parents. Maybe that is his style, but when you are an eye doctor, I think you should have a little more tact.
For example, he yanks the equipment away while your chin is still nestled in it. He will grab your head tightly and turn it forcefully. He is an average ophthalmologist, and definitely not worth the total lack of regard he shows the elderly.
The office is small and the wait time is insufferable. Most people sit around timidly and wait their turn, but some people are brave enough to go up to the receptionist and ask her when will they be called. Which brings me to another topic…
His staff is totally disgusting. Meredith, the receptionist is an absolute B-​I-​T-​C-​H. Someone must have hurt that woman badly for her to treat people this way. She is rude, obnoxious and totally proud of it. I have heard her insult patients, then turn to the other girl and say «can you believe she doesn’t think she should wait like everyone else?». The office is so small that everything said is within earshot. She is insulting and humiliates anyone who tries to talk to her, no matter how nicely you approach her. She exhibits signs of abuse and childhood trauma. I feel like she is compensating for her abuse by abusing the little authority she has in her life. And unfortunately, that authority is lorded over the patients. I feel sorry for her, but not enough to put up with it.
That said, I am done with this doctor. There has to be someone better in Forest Hills. If anyone knows of a good eye doctor, please send me a link.
I have never Unilocaled before, and I signed up today, just so I could warn people about wasting their time with this office.
