Awfully long wait. all there attention went to the party. They only had one waiter for the party and the non party sections. Half the things were not available on the menu. But when the food arrived it was decent

I was ready to order a kufta kabob, only to be told by the cashier they were all out of ground beef. I went instead with the chicken shiwarma on a laffa. The cook behind the counter handled me a plate for the salad bar while preparing my dish. The laffa was huge, packed with plenty of meat– tender and seasoned. They were generous with my request for extra hummus and hot green sauce. The fries on the other hand were soggy and I could tell they were sitting under the heat land for hours. I would recommend this spot mainly for take out. While sitting I noticed a few tables were unattended since the cashier works both areas. For the prices they charge compared to the other kabob restaurants on 108 street it’s well worth it, but this spot can’t hold a candle to Grill Point or Salute 2000.

UPDATE: It is 8⁄25 and I have called several more times to attempt to resolve the issue, since the cash(which I basically consider stolen, since the delivery guy took two tips) is gone and none of the charged $ 72.16 has been refunded. I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau of New York as well as the Va’ad Harabonim of Queens. I hope this business goes out of business — they should learn that it is UNACCEPTABLE to treat customers so poorly.

Food: excellent. Fluffy pita(though I would prefer homemade), fresh salsa and salads, excellent kofta. Service: Very lacking. I also notice that the staff tends to be friendlier towards people who speak Russian(I do not). I do not like to eat in this restaurant too much because I do not always feel welcome. Also, the last time I was there, 2 children were literally running all over the place and the staff did absolutely nothing. If they would improve their service and treat their customers equally, I would go all the time because the food usually is top notch.(save for the fries– they tend to be soggy and never crispy)

Interesting falafel, gyro etc place. Quick service as they cook your order right in front of you. You can munch on a salad buffet as you wait. The cook made the mistake of cooking my food before a regular patron lady who ordered. She yelled at him which was rude since he was sweating his butt off trying to keep up with the demands. I found it amusing later only because these dishes weren’t so great. I got a chicken gyro and a falafel pita. The salad bar(coleslaw) was dry, picked over and pickled. Now I was ordering out, what if I dined in? lol Not!

Regular neighborhood who likes to eat out occasionally. First time I went the food took forever, but I was satisfied. Went back to try it again and was sorely dissapointed. The item I wanted was not available — Salmon. Who runs out of Salmon? The cashier girl was dopey, slow, not helpful and did not explain how the place works, which casued such a great delay in them in even starting my meal that I demanded a refund and walked. Also saw the manager/owner wet his finger to grab a food wrapper and sauce bottle and serve food, no gloves. The place is a joke not worth it just for some nicely grilled protein.

I just had a 35 person party at this restaurant… I was a little skeptical at first because the first time I went there it was grand opening and they gave me raw chicken, the 2nd time I had bad service… and now third time I had a party there because I thought they got down the business — ITWASAWEFUL! The WORSTSERVICE, dirty bathroom, they had no idea how to serve, the waiters are constitantly hired and fired, they dont have tea cups for tea?! PLUS they CHARGED me $ 800 over the agreed price — Get everything in writing from these THIEVES! They are Cheap with the food — I will NEVER recommend or go there agaiin

I just got home from an outing to Grill Palace. The first reviewer mentioned uneven service. How about NOSERVICE? I asked the manager at the register whether I order through him or at the table. He said if I wanted to go, order through him, if I wanted to stay to sit at a table. So I told him I would sit at a table. I sat down and waited 13 minutes. They had three-four waitresses running around. The restaurant was not at full capacity. There were empty tables. But not once did anyone come by to offer me a menu or ask if I wanted to order anything. TERRIBLE service. I left without being served. 13 minutes is enough time to wait. I guess they didn’t want my business.

Grill palace has some good stuff on the menu; the babaghanouj is amazing. However, some drawbacks: the service is uneven. They seem to be staffed by all these scatterbrained teenagers and often times they don’t have the food listed on the menu. Also, the temperature is somewhat iffy and once I went and there was an obnoxiously loud/not too great band playing. I’d give this place 3 or 4 stars, though, for takeout.
