Made 7:30 pm reservations. Despite empty tables, they kept saying my table wasn’t ready yet. They kept on bugging us to order more drinks and wait at the bar. Finally at 7:50 patience wore thin. I guess we were punished by having to wait 15 minutes for water and another 10 minutes before they would take our order. Steak came out cold and rare, despite medium being requested. Appetizers never showed up. Service painfully slow. They seem to cater to regulars and ignore anyone they don’t recognize. Other people were upset as well and they told us it was there first time there. Maybe when they are in the mood; it’s a go to place. But why take a chance. Waste of time.

It looks so nice from the outside but once you get inside disappointing. We were seated right away with menus. Then the staff disappeared no one came and asked if we wanted drinks. After twenty minutes I went to the bar and asked the waiter for them. He came with the drinks and took our orders and then said«Oh did I tell you the specials?». The menu is confusing is it a Argentinian or Italian restaurant? We got our food and no one came and asked how was everything? I asked for the sauteed broccoli and he forgot to put the order in. I had a glass of wine and one diet coke and asked for another and he never brought it but charged us for two and the broccoli. Portions were small and food was so-so.The décor looks nice but the lighting is so dim you have a hard time reading the menu. For the amount that we paid I expect a lot more. When he came with the dessert menu I was so aggravated I just wanted to leave.

It’s really good for dinner. My bf and I were extremely hungry, so we ordered the steak which is for a party of two. The steak is well cooked and recommend to try if you have a very good appetite. The waiters are nice there.

Always drive past but never went in until last week. I got the avocado shrimp for appetizers and porkchops with rice and beans for my entrée; and they were both AMAZING! I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I have to say that this is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve never had in queens. The server, who’s name escapes me right now… attended to my brunch group with plenty of attention. The brunch itself was amazing. Entrée and a drink for about 17 $! Although I am not usually a fan of bloody marys, Pampas Argentinas’ Bloody mary was absolutely delicious. I usually associate bloody marys with tomato soup with a lot of garnishes. They kept it really simple with three olives. No tiny burger needed!

Went here for a special occasion for the first time & just loved it. We ordered for the appetizers the Avocado & Shrimp & was very satisfied. We also ordered Provolone Pampas. This was delicious! For our main course we shared the Pampas Mixed Grill for Two – amazing. This comes with 2 sides — homemade garlic mashed potatoes, grilled seasonal veggies. Both sides were flavorful too. The wait staff of Michael & Luis was excellent. Michael offered great meal suggestions. We will be returning to this restaurant & would recommend it to all.

After reading so many positive reviews about Pampas Argentinas, we went there recently with friends and really enjoyed our meal. We split the artichoke with mozzarella, Pampas Mixed Grill, Las Pampas shrimp, and the grilled chicken and vegetables. The staff was really attentive and gave us extra plates so that we all could share the various dishes. The pitcher of house sangria also paired really well with the meal and was enough for all four of us. For the price, quality of the meats, service, and overall ambiance, Pampas Argentinas definitely deserves 5 stars.

Overall my experience was great!!! The Sangria was delicious and fried Provolone divine. My entrée was good… although huge in portion size but you can always take home. The waiters were really sweet! I would have given them 5 Stars… However… I’m NY’er and very used to speedy service… They definitely took their time BUT were not annoyed when we called for them. Will definitely return!!!

Went here on a date and had a great dining experience. My date has traveled to Argentina and wanted to find a good steak like he would get there… We both were not disappointed. When we arrived the place was empty but by the time we left it was getting crowded. The service from our waiter, who was knowledgeable and personable, was excellent. The portions were very large, and our steaks were exceptionally tender. I will be back!!!

Where do I begin? I’ll keep this simple for Those of you in the area looking for a good steak place… Run and run fast. Sat at the table for 15 minuets before we had to call down the bar tender to take our order When the food came, we asked for lemons… 10 minuets later had to ask the actual waiter who was serving a room of what looked like other unhappy customers. No one ever came over to see how everything was. The skirt steak was DISGUSTING. no flavor and the texture was like rubber No refills asked on the empty drinks left at the end of the table for the remaining of the night. Best part!!! When we complained after sitting for 20 minuets waiting for someone to come over(in a nice but upset tone) the waiter told the bartender who shrugged his shoulders and smiled. The bartender/“waiter” then came over with a defensive annoying tone. Are you kidding??? They offered us a drink(thanks I’m clearly 8 months pregnant) and dessert. Thank, your concern is overwhelming. I wish I would have listened to the negative reviews. Trust me on this one and save yourself over priced garbage. If I could i would have given this zero stars.

Came her as a last minute dinner option with some friends because it was the only place that was open late… It did not disappoint. Such a cute place. Awesome food. Cute ambiance… Not the mention the waiter and bartender Michael was so pleasant and professional. He made the experience worth it. His drinks are the best… Definitely will return and recommend.

Went to dinner here tonight before a movie at a nearby theatre. Got to the restaurant at 5:45 with intentions of making a 7 pm showing and ended up walking out of restaurant at 7:45. Super slow service on a night where there were maybe three other tables occupied in the joint. I give the waiter props because at least he was nice but even his chill demeanor couldn’t save this review. The food just doesn’t cut it. Very bland, underwhelming, and really overpriced. The décor was cool also which gives the place a nice date night feel, but even still I wouldn’t come back. I don’t recommend… head to ‘my kitchen’ instead.

I came here for brunch with my girlfriend. This restaurant was so good that I decided to make a Unilocal account just so I can tell people how good it is. The Food: Excellent I had a steak and egg sandwich served with fries and chimichurri and like a spicy chimichurri, pico de gallo. She had steak and eggs which was served with the same sides. Now being that I grew up eating Argentine food, I thought that this was phenomenal. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chimichurri was astonishing, which I expected from an Argentine restaurant. You will definitely not be disappointed. The Service: Excellent We were greeted by a man who I believe was named Mike, a very enthusiastic and caring individual who made our entire experience extremely comfortable and entertaining. He was very attentive to our food orders. He knows how to speak a diverse selection of languages and is trying to learn more so that he can be more accommodating to the customers who don’t speak English. He will remember your name too. This guy is a real gem. Great waiter and great host and an all around interesting man. The Atmosphere: Excellent Being a design professional, I’d say that the décor is warm and inviting and really evokes the spirit of Argentina. Everything was very clean and appears to be up to code in all it’s aspects. The Price: Excellent We got a ton of food and I was stuffed, which is rare. And I am not kidding because I can eat way more than you. Trust me. We got an entre and an alcoholic beverage for $ 17.95 each. This was an extremely reasonable price for the quantity and quality of food that we got as well as the service. The Area: Excellent I grew up in the area. There’s plenty of places to park and lots of shops and and stores that you can visit before and after you dine here. If you haven’t been here yet you really need to go. I plan on being a regular so I’ll see you there.

We’ve driven by this place so many times and finally found time to stop in because I was craving skirt steak! We got here around 5 – 5:30pm on a Saturday and it was empty besides one other table. As we got our drinks and food, the place began to get busy and by the time we were leaving(around 7:30), it was completely packed with people waiting for tables. The food was so good! For starters, we had the appetizer special which was asparagus with mozzarella and prosciutto. I usually am not a fan of asparagus but this was prepared very well and I really enjoyed it. For my entrée, I had the skirt steak with garlic mashed. Great size and tender piece of steak cooked perfectly and a big serving of garlic mashed. It took me a while but, with the help of hubby, I was able to finish it! My husband had the NY strip steak special. This was a HUGE piece of meat and we took almost half of it home(had it with the eggs in the morning!). For dessert, we had the flan deluxe. Not the best I’ve tasted, but very good. As for drinks, we ordered a pitcher of sangria. It was totally worth the $ 30 as it was blended well and had big chunks of fresh fruit. We were about to get 3 – 4 cups each from the pitcher. Loved this place. The ambiance was great and the service was very pleasant. Can’t wait to come and try the ribeye! If you come prime time on a weekend, make a reservation!

Stopped by for brunch earlier today — the location is excellent and parking was easy to find around the corner. The brunch menu is solid and comes with both coffee and an additional beverage(e.g., mimosa /bloody mary). I had a steak sandwich — it was huge, delicious, and had an egg on top. Both the waiter and busboy were very pleasant, attentive, and made conversation. It had the feeling of a very nice neighborhood joint — I would be delighted to go for dinner here and update the review after.

I have been going to Pampas for years, ever since they opened for business. I always have a positive experience there. They are consistent and that’s what I like and that is exactly why I keep going there. The service is always good, albeit slow sometimes but when I go there I always feel taken care of. I’d rather have slow service than feel rushed. As far as the food goes, I’m very pleased with their menu. I get the peppered filet mignon cooked medium and every time I go there the steak is cooked to perfection. They absolutely nail it right on the head every time. Their appetizers are quite good and the pricing is reasonable. Honestly I think this place deserves better reviews and i encourage anyone that lives in the Forest Hills area to give them a try. Nowadays it’s difficult to please customers. Most people walk into a restaurant and feel entitled to perfection and to be treated like royalty every time. You try running a small privately owned restaurant in today’s competitive economic market and then we’ll see how easy it is to get perfect reviews.

Last week after dropping my son off at home, the wife and I passed by Metropolitan Avenue and noticed Pampas Argentina. We decided that we want to give it a try sometime and made a mental note. We dropped my son off again in Brooklyng today, and on the way back we decided to stop and give this place a try. I have to say I rather like the place. The ambience and decorations are nice. The restaurant looks and feels clean, and the service was quite adequate. They start you off with these two little pieces of bread with some tomatoes, a bruschetta of sorts, and a couple of pieces of bread and butter. As appetizers, we decided to try some empanadas and the Caesar salad. You guys know that I always have to try out those Caesar salads, it’s just my thing. I think we both agreed that the empanadas were good, the only complaint I have about them is that they were a little cold in the middle. However, the flavor profiles were great, and we very much enjoyed this appetizer. The Caesar salad was as excellent as any that I’ve ever had, the croutons were crunchy; the lettuce was fresh, and the flavor was quite good. For the main course, we shared the grill sampler. This is a sampler dish for two, and to be completely honest with you; I think you could feed four or more in one sitting. I don’t think we ate but 1⁄3 of this dish before we felt full. I really love the flavor of the steak, there is a special taste that steak can have when you get it at a good place! I don’t know how to describe it. However, this steak had it, but I don’t even know how to describe it. We ate this other meat called sweetbread, which tasted kind of weird to us, the texture and everything, later we found out that it was an organ that is next to the heart. Yeah, we didn’t finish that, we thought it had a weird taste and texture, and the waiter kind of confirmed for us why. The chicken was good. It wasn’t dry, which tends to be a problem with chicken. As I mentioned already, the steak was great, and I enjoyed this dish. My wife was on the fence about it; she felt that it was a bit too oily, too greasy for her taste, and though it felt heavy to me, it didn’t bother me that much. Take a look at this video clip here and you’ll get an idea of what I thought about their bathroom.(Video is on my instagram — arodomus — can’t embed it here.) Seriously, that bathroom was impeccable. Overall, I’d say that my experience here was pleasant, I enjoyed it, and I would recommend that you try the skirt steak, it was probably the best item. For our side dishes, we had some mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables, and those were pretty good too. The price was reasonable. I think we paid about $ 60 for the two of us, which wasn’t bad considering the amount of food we had, and the overall quality. I feel perfectly comfortable recommending this place to you guys. Restaurants are subjective, for sure. Take for instance, me and my wife tonight. She wasn’t so into it, and I was a bit more into it. Everyone will always feel how they feel, but in my opinion, it’s not a bad place to try. If you are in the area, check it out.
