Baubo’s Garden

Sadly out of business. Was so lovely while it lasted.

I usually get my bras at Intimacy (which I love) but I live near Forest Park and I wanted to support a local business, so I tried out Baubo’s Garden. Before I went, I called to find out if they carried the brand and size of bra I was looking for and the owner said they did. When I got there, it became clear that they did not carry it, which means that she either lied or is disorganized and unfamiliar with what she has in stock. She said they could order it, and when I only wanted to order one bra she became noticeably less friendly. I went ahead and paid for the bra and she said she would contact me when it came in.
After a couple of weeks, I called to check if the bra had arrived yet. It hadn’t. A few days later I got an email from her saying that the shipment arrived but my bra wasn’t in it, supposedly a mistake made by the place she ordered from. She said the bra would come in the next shipment. Just over a month after I had initially placed the order, the bra arrived. When I went to get it I discovered that it was the wrong size. She argued with me about it being the wrong size even though the receipt listed the size that had been ordered which was different than the size of the bra that had arrived. I said that I wanted a refund and she protested that it was the supplier’s mistake, but I said I had to wait a month for the wrong size and I wanted a refund. She stopped arguing, in fact she stopped talking or making eye contact altogether, and issued the refund. As I left I said, «Thank you,» and she didn’t say anything nor acknowledge me in any way.
EDITED to add a response to the owner’s comment: This is the same idiocy she tried to argue in person, the «confusing» difference between US and UK sizes. It’s real simple. THE ORDER PLACED (and confirmed by the receipt) WAS FOR A FANTASIE BRAND 32 G. THE BRA THAT ARRIVED WAS A FANTASIE BRAND 32 °F. It doesn’t matter what a US bra size would have been. The bra that was ordered was not the bra that arrived. Not to mention the issue of her bad attitude. I will not be back.

Sexy lingerie is my kryptonite and I can never say no to an undergarment that will make my skin sing. Baubo’s Garden (which for those of you… like yours truly who didn’t know… is the goddess of mirth and a queen in her own right!) is tops.
The very wise owner Eden is running a boutique filled with come hither materials that will make any eyes turn. Everything inside is meant to benefit you, your luscious curves and make you feel exceptional.
I stalked Baubo’s Garden and was way more excited than I should have been with the selections. After telling her what I was looking for, she became more of a godsend as more and more pieces were being plucked about for a fitting. As told, I am part of a rare group of women who likes the lace and no padding. The boutique did not disappoint, rather than direct me to a rack in the shop, she walked right with me and dug out sets that were in the description and then some.
For this trip (which I plan on becoming a regular) I walked out with 1 silky set that leaves no lines, a fun print set with buttons and an elusive black number.
As for other merch in the shop, there is a bit of everything for anyone. Basic sets in all colors, robes, nighties, jewlery. It’s an all around boutique geared to make you feel sexy, comfortable and good about what’s going on under that dress, sweater, etc.
Seriously, cannot wait to see what is in store with this superb boutique. With first-​class service and spicy undergarments you know the minute you wear anything purchased will give you that extra bounce and thrust in your strut in whatever outfit you’re wearing.

I was only in here really fast to pick up some hosiery, but I wish I had more time to look. It looked like they had tons of pretty things. The owner was really nice and helped me find what I was looking for. I got an awesome pair of back seam nylons for $ 8. I was really sad though because they ripped about an hour after I bought them. I don’t know if it was an inferior brand or just because I suck at wearing nylons…

Although expensive, this place has very nice lingerie, from cute flannel pajama sets, to flowing silk gowns for a wedding night, to sexy animal print bras and underwear. (The store also hosts «toy» parties, underwear parties, events for bridal showers, bachelorette parties, etc.) All the lingerie items they carry are really nice, but not all are in my price range.
The owner is very helpful. While looking for skin-​colored thongs, she immediately took me to the sale basket and helped me find two pairs. One was $ 20 and the other was $ 4. We asked her why the difference in price and she candidly responded, «One’s Italian.» I thought that was cool/​funny of her. I got both, and guess which is more comfortable and shows less under clothes? You guessed it, the $ 4 pair.
It is so nice to finally have a unique lingerie boutique in the Oak Park/​Forest Park area. Especially one with a nice/​helpful owner.

A charming lingerie boutique on the up-​and-​coming Madison Street business district in Forest Park. It has a lovely selection of lacy underthings and silky sleepwear, but the prices were too high for anything to tempt me.
