My first time here and it was not a very good experience. We had a large group of 3 families. Service was a little slow with occasional drink refills and no bread refill offers. The soda was horrible — tasted like sulfur– and after complaining was offered another drink, I got water and they still attempted to charge us. I ordered the spicy chicken tenders, which they brought with the sauce in the side(different from what the menu picture showed). When I questioned it, the server said I didn’t ask for it tossed, which was never an option. They also tried to charge us for a full drink with my daughters kids meal because she ordered it before she ordered her meal and was in a large cup. After an eye roll, the waitress grabbed the receipt and dusted it. No manager in sight. Food was just OK. The chicken was a little dry, but the sauce was flavorful. Won’t be going back.

This was my first time at this place. The Nashville buffalo chicken sandwich was great. It was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The staff was also very friendly. I’m sure I will be back when I’m back in town again.

First off, the bathroom stinks like sewer gas is backing up, and it’s filthy. The door to the bathroom is dirty. The wooden trim in the restaurant looks dirty with smudges of who-knows-what. Our plates were dirty. My fried chicken strips were salty as hell, and so were the fries. The chicken had a big carbon black burn all over it. The waitress was inattentive, leaving drinks unfilled, leaving dirty dishes cluttering the table, potato soup was watery and tasted like sour milk. We rejected the soup and the side salad which tasted like the lettuce was washed in dirty dish water. Layout of the store is horrible. Tight spaces and our table was in traffic zone by kitchen exit(stupid location for the exit and table). Took forever to get check. Manager took $ 2 off our bill. Not happy; won’t return. Ever.

We’ve been regulars for a while. Always good but last two weeks not so good. Tonight waited 45 minutes for food and it came out cold and my salad looked like it was ¼ of what I usually get. They didn’t charge us but we left. Wasn’t going to wait more time for food. Won’t be back for a long while. Wasn’t wait staff fault.

I recently went to O’Charley’s for my Fiancé ‘s Birthday and wanted to share my experience. Before that I would like to say I have talked to their Customers service about the last time I was here and I had a very good conversation with him. The only problem is it seems they changed a little but they are still under staffed. We waited about 30 min to get a table for 5. Once Sat down we noticed there was only one server for our entire section which was full a total of five 4 – 6 person tables with a giant party at one end with 3 tables pushed together and at least 6 booths with 2 – 4 people in them. Our one server was covering all of them by herself. We ordered our drinks 4 house margiritas, 2 cokes and, 2 waters, our ape tiers 2 orders of fried pickles, and our main meal. The water and coke was fast took like 5 min. But out margaritas took a grand total of 15 min and we still had no bread. Our apetizers took about 10 – 15 min to get out. Which by the end of that our drinks drunk and where waiting for another round. We then waited around 15 minutes for our waiter to get done with everyone else then back to us. I ordered a tall beer and asked when the food was going to be here, she stated«she would have to Check». I then started a timer on my phone it she didn’t come back to give us a time and it took exactly 23min to get our food. After we asked how long it would take. When I got the French Dip i ordered the dipping sauce was all over the plate and my sandwich was soggy and cold, still never got my beer so I had to drink from my fiancé’s drink. After we were done my fiancé wanted a piece of pie for her birthday(French silk) it took another 10 min to get that to us in a box so we could leave. We left after paying kinda upset that it took almost an hr to get our food and 40 min to leave after. I Do not believe this is all on the waitress, this is about proper management. We felt bad for the waitress because she was running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to make everyone’s experience a good one. It was peek lunch time when we went. I do have to give O’Charles’s customer service Representatives a thumbs up for trying to correct the problem I had last time I was here and I know it’s not easy to fix management or staffing problems. Just take it from me, me family nor me was impressed with our experience. I hope this helps anyone who had had the same problems

Food is the typical chain fare — burgers, sandwiches, etc… Servers seem to wish they were elsewhere. Sealing the deal on this review was the constant background noise at the bar, like somebody pissed off a 900 lb cricket…

So this will be brief. They are open 11am-11pm. Walked in. No staff greeted me. Actually there was no staff on the ENTIRE floor. Oh yea, no customers in the ENTIRE place at 4pm. NOJOKE! Sooooooo I wait… and wait… and wait… nuttin. FINALLY, a Shaffer member comes out the back. She immediately gets eye contact with me. So in that split second of opportunity she turned and walked away. No HEYSOMEONEWILLBEWITHYOU… SORRYFORTHEDELAY… nuttin. so I left… went to a competitor only about 100 yards away and was greeted with a smile and WELCOME… hmmmm…AND they had customers… interesting…

Wonderful Servers and Host. Wonderful Cook(he came out and made sure my Steak was to my liking as did my waitress). The Food? Hot, Tasty, Scrumptious! Awesome place when I’m in Decatur again I’ll be here for SURE!!!

I’ve eaten here a few times, mostly with my dad who loves their prime rib. What prompted me to write this review was my most recent visit. Our waitress, who is one of the few people with a name more unique than my own(Zsa Zsa), was an absolute pleasure. She returned my silly banter with ease and made the experience an excellent one. The food is their anchor, it always tastes the same and never do you get unpleasantly surprised. I would recommend trying the fried pickle chips for an appetizer, and some form of red meat for the entrée. Can’t go wrong.

Diabetes and hypertension have landed. You do not need to eat everything on the plate. The menu is extensive, Gordon Ramsay would not approve on this account and perhaps a couple other things. The rolls were great. The sauce the fried pickle chips came with was gone before the pickle chips(not for lack of sauce, but because it was surprisingly tasty.) I tried to salvage my poor eating choices leading up to this meal by ordering the California Chicken Salad. Candied pecans tasted like Christmas(that’s a good thing), blue cheese makes me happy, strawberries were perfectly ripe, waaaaaaaaaay too many dried cranberries; would have liked to see more chicken, but I was thankful there were no wibbly, chewy pieces. The dressing brought the whole thing together nicely– some kind of balsamic vinaigrette with herbs floating in it. Needless to say I ate my leftovers later that night. Boyfriend had a meal that didn’t make sense, but he picked it to be that way. There’s some kind of pick your own two lunch menu thing. I witnessed a fully loaded baked potato, next to fried chicken strip tacos next to tortilla chips. He ate everything but a few of the chips so I suppose it’s safe to say things were satisfactory.

Normally I don’t eat at chain restaurants, but I’m from out of town and I was too hungry to search around for a mom and pop shop. The service was alright and the food was inexpensive but served within 5 minutes of ordering which makes me question how fresh it really was. I ordered the pot roast which didn’t look anything like the picture when it was delivered. The whole meal was overly salty and the desert came out cold even though the menu claimed it was hot apple pie with a scoop of ice cream(somehow they left off the scoop of ice cream as well). The highlight of the meal was the poblano soup and the glazed bread that came with the meal. Overall this is a place that you would go to if you’re out of options or just don’t want to spend much. Typical for a chain restaurant.

The court is out on this, I have family that has come here often without problem, but this last trip was while I was home visiting family for the holidays, and ordered a Philly cheese steak, that was served cold. I sent it back and it came back warm, but the fries were soaking in grease and limp. Needless to say my first experience here at this restaurant was not the best. It was totally not the servers fault, and in speaking to the manager he acted like he took offensive to us returning our food. To top it off, there were three of us, two had the Philly cheese steak and one another dish. The other dish person actually finished his meal completely before we got the reheated, reorder of the sandwiches. I believe the staff worked hard to try to accommodate us, but the cooks int he kitchen did not like us sending our food back, as it came back hot, but messy and limp! This was my first time ever into this restaurant.

It’s alright. The $ 10 steak is well its worth $ 10. Pretty much like most of the chains on 51 you can pretty much cut and paste them in place of each other. The food is good and the wait staff is good. Far less intrusive on a conversation than roadhouse. Pretty much on par with applebees and cheddars.

Heather and O’Charley’s turned a horrible experience at another restaurant into a nice birthday celebration. We had left that place without even being served and treated so bad. When we walked in O’Charley’s we were greeted by a friendly smile and taken to our booth. Soon Heather was waiting on us and she is no doubt one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Food was great, service great. We left happy

OKOK, I know it is a little odd to review a chain restaurant b/c they«basically» offer the same thing wherever you go, but this review isn’t based on their food(which, btw is pretty darn good) or is it based on their drinks(which, if you haven’t tried their famous Cotton Candy Cosmos, are totally missing out) this review is entirely based on their service… My friends and I came here for our weekly girls night gab fest the other evening, and, of course, two of us ordered their delicious Cotton Candy Cosmos(as mentioned above). After our orders were in and we were, or course, already discussing some odd behaviour of someones ex-boyfriend, the manager approached our table and über apologetically told us they were out of cotton candy(*tear*). This is the best part of the Cotton Candy cosmos. OHNO :(Not only did the manager profusely apologize, BUT he offered us a discount on our meal b/c of it!!!(Now, I have been to many a restaurant and I have heard on more than one occasion of a restaurant being out of something, but never has a manager come to my table, apologized AND offered a discount b/c of it.) In the end, before they got our new drink orders they found some of this elusive cotton candy(phew!!!), so it all worked out, and we didn’t end up needing the discount, but still, it is nice to know their are people out there you still believe in genuine customer service!!! P. S. Our waitress was also super nice and accommodating. Friendly(but not overly talkative) and attentive(but not pushy) :)
