Had the sashimi plate and the red and white sushi plate as well as sharing a poke salmon over an avocado. The fish was totally fresh. Not the slightest hint of a fish odor which is always a dead giveaway for old fish. Nicely presented. The restaurant environment is pleasant and calming. Excellent waitress. Only negative was we felt the house salad dressing could be better. Plan to return soon.

I’ve been coming to Mt. Fuji for quite a while, and it remains a common choice when I want Japanese in northern Colorado. All the standbys pass muster: lunch Bento boxes are affordable and plentiful, the Tempura is crisp and flavorful, the Udon bowls are warm and satisfying, and the sushi is about average for a Colorado spot. The service can be iffy, especially when it gets busy. Sometimes they’re simply understaffed. They usually manage to keep food coming out quickly and accurately, though. The item I find myself ordering every single time is the baked green-lip mussels, so give them a try!

Best Japanese/oriental food I’ve had in years! Best in Fort Collins so far. Great hip chill music that’s not too loud and of course, the food. Our waitress was accommodating with vegetarian options and even did something for us a la carte! :) Katie was our waitress and she was so good. And had a sense of urgency which was nice. This is our new spot. Can’t wait to try more off the menu! Brittney was our server after the previous visit. Once again our waitress was super accommodating with our vegetarian options! Service at this establishment is just as good as the food. Keep it up you two. You amazing magical server girls.

I’m sad to write a bad review because the service was very good and the inside is cute. but last week my boyfriend and I went and ordered the love boat for two. Some of the sashimi smelled rotten. low tide smell… absolutely not edible. :(we will not be going back.

Lovely sushi and entrees! Delivery may take awhile(~45– 60 min), so plan accordingly — however, the food always arrives fresh and warm. The crab wontons and Ton Katsu are our favorites. The woman(wish I knew her name) who always delivers our food is so nice and kind. Great restaurant!

I go back and forth with this place. The service can be absolutely amazing with great ambiance. Or sometimes the service can be average. Huge selection of rolls, all very tasty. Usually nice portions. Quite often there aren’t a ton of people here so your food gets right out to you. Make sure to discuss food allergies with the servers as not all ingredients are always listed on the menu. And they deliver within a couple miles!

Will never eat here again. For one, ice burg lettuce does not belong in sushi. The service was absolutely terrible terrible terrible. I’m embarrassed I brought my date there

I am giving them honestly half a star. ordered a bento box of chicken teriyaki and it came on a bed of bean sprouts. I am very allergic to bean sprouts, no bean sprouts were listed on the menu. I tell the waitress I can’t eat it, it has bean sprouts on it and I am allergic. She takes it back and brings it on a new tray… still has bean sprouts all over it. So when my throat starts closing and I ate food that was not remade the waitress seemed to want to avoid me. Little upsetting that I didn’t get to eat my lunch… still got charged for it and it wasn’t even good. It is tough to eat when you ha e food allergies, but it would be better if those things were listed. The waitress could of acknowledged that I was allergic and apologized. instead I got ignored. good thing I have benadryl in my purse and epi pens. I also want to mention my boyfriend said the Katsu Don was very good.

Wasn’t expecting much going in here, but turns out it’s really solid! The bento boxes/lunches are huge, sashimi is really fresh, rolls are great and maybe one of the best mid-range sushi joints I’ve been to that isn’t coastal.

The food was Ok. The service sucked. The timing of the food being brought out sucked. Also, some people brought their annoying, babbling, crying baby with them, so I had to listen to that the whole time. I won’t be back.

Fantastic sushi! We sat at the sushi bar and were not disappointed! The chef made sure that she tailored our selection to meet my allergy needs. The food for the price was outstanding and the quality was top notch! The tuna was so tender it was softer than the rice it was on. The shrimp was so sweet it tasted like it was dipped in sugar. Hands down my favorite place to eat and has been for over 10 years!!!

We went last night because we had a groupon. The service was good and the tempura was good. I must not have the palate to appreciate this place. The green tea had puffed rice in it and it smelled burnt. The salad dressing was almost bitter. The miso soup needed something. It was very expensive in my opinion so I doubt we’ll be back for dinner.

As far as sushi in Fort Collins goes, this is my #2 — though it is a close call. I have been here twice and both times I was impressed by the quality and freshness of the fish. The salmon sushi melts in your mouth and the rolls are tasty. The restaurant has been virtually empty both times which makes me nervous but the experiences I have had make me wonder why more people don’t come here. I’ll be back.

Great price, portion and flavor. I got the teriyaki beef lunch box special. It came with California rolls, grilled wontons, miso soup, ginger salad, fried rice and actual sirloin steak pieces. All this for only $ 9.65 great deal! Delicious.

We LOVE this place! The edamame veggie gyozas are SO good — we always get some as an appetizer. Our son loves the vegetarian bento box and we love the veggie sushi. Everything is fresh and beautifully prepared and presented.

Went here today because I had a living social deal. I ordered quite a few sushi rolls including one of their specialty rolls. I was not very impressed with the quality of a few of the things I ordered. The standard rolls were good and the fish was fairly fresh… Nothing special you can get them anywhere. The disappointing ones were the specialty rolls and the eel. The specialty roll I got had tempura jalpinos and a strange topping. It looked good on paper but was pretty flavorless other than spice from the jalapenos. The awful part was from the Eel. It tasted rotten and completely ruined my Wife’s apatite after eating just one of them. Eel is her favorite and she always gets it so she knows how it’s supposed to taste. I tried one and ended up spitting it out. There was definitely something very wrong with it. Overall here is the scoop… The standard sushi here is just fine… Nothing better than anywhere else. The price is premium though and you can get the same quality sushi for cheaper elsewhere. All the more expensive rolls I had were not so good.

This place was a pathetic excuse for a customer friendly business. A group of friends and I bought a living social coupon where the rules outlined one per customer. When we went to pay the excessively rude staff said that it was one per table(although this is not what was advertised on the coupon). He got extremely unprofessional very quickly and made a scene in front of all the other customers. Threatening to fire our waitress and telling us he didn’t care what we thought. She wasn’t a bad waitress but the management and staff are just absolutely ridiculous. Aside from the horrible management and staff experience the food wasn’t that good either. Especially for the price. The rolls and nigiri were bland and the ramen dish tasted like 10 cent ramen from Walmart. The service took FOREVER too. We ordered and didn’t get any food until 40 minutes later… and yes I’m referring to my appetizer of miso soup. Don’t waste your time at Mt. Fuji. Honestly it would be more beneficial for you to go to Fort Collins other sushi establishments and spend your money elsewhere. I will never go back here.

A friend recommended this place so my wife and I stopped by to give it a try. We were excited to try a new place in town because, lately the sushi scene has been less than ideal in fort collins. Rise in prices, lowering quality seems like the new theme in town. We decided to get the rainbow roll and paradise roll. The rolls themselves were well made and very beautifully presented. The fish seemed fresh and overall it was a great experience. Service was prompt and we were well taken care of. I would definitely give this place a try if you are in the mood for some purdy lookin sushi.

Just ok. Tempura shrimp & veggies were good. The sushi was not the best. It seemed like the fish was previously frozen.

Mt. Fuji stood for a long time as the standard by which all other sushi would be measured for me. Over the last 10+ years, I have had some really amazing sushi experiences here. We used to go here so often in fact, that Jon and Anne(owners) knew us by name. The fish is usually very fresh, always colorful and very tasty. They’ve done a great job adding exciting rolls and their specials are usually excellent. That being said, our most recent experience was pretty mediocre. The fish didn’t seem as fresh. It took forever to get our food(though if you eat sushi often, you know that it’s usually an exercise in patience) and one of our rolls was wrong. As always though, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. After so many years of great sushi, there’s no way I would give them less than 4 stars for just one less-than-awesome experience but I will say that I am not the gung-ho believer I once was. We’ll definitely be back, no doubt.
