The Specht Point Café is a great joint with probably the best BLT in town. I go there once or twice a week and have never been disappointed. The service is always friendly and the coffee is great. If you work in the office complex there and you want something for lunch that that you didn’t get in a drive thru than this is the place to go. Fresh salads with soups and oh ya, did I mention the BLT rocks. Suck it haters, everyone has a bad day and you can see from the first review that the customer service was great. Support your local business and go to Specht instead of McDonalds or Starbucks. Every time I go to Specht, they are busy so the people complaining here must be a few unhappy folks out there and I would guess if you would mention to Alex or his wife that you had a bad experience, he would be more than happy to make it right.

Terrible coffee and a bland breakfast burrito. Way over-priced and out of the way. Go to Starbucks or McDonalds for a better cup of coffee at a better price.

I thoroughly enjoy Specht Point Café. The service is always friendly and professional, and the food delicious! The sandwiches are worth a drive across town!

I so wanted to like Specht Point Café but I just didn’t. In some odd way I still want to like Specht Point but I am not so sure that I am inclined to give it another try. The café is more like a coffee shop. Since it is usually a safe bet that coffee shops serve decent chai tea then I was so inclined to try their chai here. I got my chai but the chai flavoring came from a powder and not a liquid. Since I am not so inclined to judge drinks on this I had no reason to complain about this method of making chai. My chai tasted ok but the hang up was either because it was a powder and perhaps not mixed very well the little grains kept getting on my throat and I had to keep coughing after I drank the drink. This kind of thing happens to me when I eat nuts too. It is because I am getting old. But despite that fact I have upgraded my chai standards and think that it won’t be anywhere near decent if it comes from a powder. The pastry I got here was decent, not exceptional but adequate. A part of me still really wants to like Specht Point Café as I said before. Probably because it is the closest coffee shop to my home but I am not too sure it is worth it after going there. Other people that live on the east side of Fort Collins will have better luck if they go to Genoa Coffee off of Timberline and Drake. Genoa is a little farther for me but quite good!
