Stopped in here during my time in Ft Collins to see a good friend who bartends. It is a fun place with a good atmosphere and TONS of selection of whiskey. I really am not a whiskey person but even I loved the whiskey sour. The staff is friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. A great place to go for karaōke(Thursdays!), a bar crawl, or a drink with a date or friends.

The Whiskey is an awesome stop on any College Avenue bar crawl. As you would expect they did a great job bringing in a wide range of whiskies. The bartender is typically knowledgeable and can recommend something to try if you are in the mood for something new. The wait staff is hit or miss when it comes to whiskey knowledge but they have always been polite. This place is typically packed on the weekends. Larger groups will have a tough time finding seating and the wait staff can be a little overwhelmed on the weekends. If you are a whiskey drinker, add this place to your to-do list.

Great food for lunch. Wife had the cheese steak and I had the gyro. We didnt have any spirits this visit but really friendly staff who are extremely knowledgeable about their spirits. We’ll be back to try the flights. Worth a go. Nice atmosphere!!!

Awesome happy hour prices for those that like to Sunday Funday! Televisions available to those that like to keep their eye on their favorite sports team on game day.

Moscow Mule best I have ever tasted. Friendly and attentive bartender. Of course it was at noon on a Saturday but you have to start pre-game at some point.

This is the coolest place to hang, Chase, Chris and Jenny are some of the coolest people I’ve ever met, not to mention their skill as bartenders. They know how to cut up with their customers and they always know how to make great cocktails and they always treat you great. We come every sunday for game night and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future! I highly recommend to everyone.

Amazing. I love bourbon, this place has over 1,300 different types of whiskey. The buffalo trace select barrel on tap was the smoothest I’ve ever had. They do flights for tasting.

Great service, food, and drinks. Bartenders were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The drinks were fantastic. And I highly recommend the gyro and sweet potato fries.

Great whiskey selection. Menu was expansive and the happy hour is great to check out. Moscow mules and other drinks only $ 5. Atmosphere post work was pretty quiet but I will definitely be back here later in the evening to check out.

Honestly, this place has potential to be great but when we went on a Sunday night, it sucked. The drinks were yummy but the service sucked. It took forever to order, forever to get our drink, forever to reorder… you get the picture. Our waiters voice was gone and the people sitting near him when he took orders said they felt like he was sick and would lean away. They also said his breath was horrible. Time and time again we would hear«the food and drinks are dying!».meaning…our drinks and food were just sitting on the bar getting cold and hanging out. Cuba Libre was delicious(Whiskey/Mexican Coke) and they give you what’s left in the coke bottle to drink. Loaded fries were cold when they came out but were ok. Fried pickles also had jalapeños in them. Okay, a bit too greasy for my taste, and the jalapeño calamari was bomb. Def get the calamari if any of the apps. The booth seats are comfy but me being 5’4″ I can not reach the foot resting bar so my legs constantly felt discomfort and even fell asleep! The bartender behind the bar was hustling and making up for the lacking server abilities. When it came to pay, we basically had to hunt down our heck and when he offered to split it we said of course! Too bad when the checks came out they were all wrong. So frustrating. I would have given 4 stars but the service was just so super slow and sloppy.

The service was very slow and staff didn’t pay attention well but they were also very friendly. The food was good but definitely overpriced. Similar with the drinks. The atmosphere is kinda lame too, too popular of a bar.

If you’re into Whiskeys and Bourbons, this is the place to go! They have happy hour every day from 11a-6pm. The first time I came, the drinks were great!!! I visited a week later and there was a different bartender. The drinks weren’t good and I had to send mine back. :(I like the non-student atmosphere, and I plan to come back when there’s a different bartender.

Great place to have a few drinks with friends. The bar is awesome and the bartenders are friendly and love to show their knowledge of their expansive collection of whiskeys. Cocktails were a little sweet for my taste, but I’m sure they would have no problem making them to your liking. If J(one of the managers) is there you’re in for a real treat, good conversation and a showcase of all the new stuff they got in. And if some of the more rare bottles are out of your price range, you can always smell them for free.

Large variety & selection on whiskey’s, they also carry some local beers. I had a Nitro salted Chocolate stout from new belgium, it was amazing! The price tag was not…$ 8 for my beer. $ 7 for my boyfriends Old fashioned, which was decent. Great atmosphere, attentive bartenders, expensive prices for a local bar. Would love to give The Whiskey another try, during a happy hour or live music night. They also run a full kitchen, the menu looked tasty as well.

The selection is great and the Kentucky mule I had was great. The poor rating is due to the snarky bartenders. If you offer several hundred whiskeys, you ought to be prepared for a few questions. Our bartender was quite condescending. We had one drink and left.

Terrible bartender service, real rude, NYC prices, and if you want a beer after your $ 12 whiskey cocktail expect the same price and a terrible selection. Won’t ever come back here. If you want a way better whiskey bar go to Social or William Olivers.

Bait & Switch is never a good start ! ~~~ Tonight Oct 24th, 2014, It’s Friday night in College town Fort Collins, Colorado. The Whiskey is a restaurant and Lounge billed as Up Scale. I knew we were in trouble when we met a bouncer checking I. D at the door. Not a good sign, classy! At the front door was a sign pushing the special of the day, tonight a Steak Burger. HMmm, that sounds good, I’ve been craving a burger all night. SOLD! Now at our table we were informed there was no special, order off the menu, and I did! Tonight’s meal came out slow, real slow! We were informed while there was plenty of alcohol to be had, there was nothing in the restaurant non-carbonated or alcohol free. The wife drank, but I needed to drive home, so I had to drink water. Oh, it get’s better, when I asked for Catsup and Mustard with my meal, the restaurant served the mustard in plastic packets like at McDonalds, and we had no silverware or napkins either. I ran to the men’s room for paper towels. Were talking classy, Oh Yeah! Our waitress, well she explained everyone is here to party, this is a drinkin bar. I think she had a point, I would call it a Meat-Market Bar. The purpose of «The Whiskey» is to pick-up women and that’s about it. I would not call this a restaurant, because it’s not! This is a bar, next door to another bar, that is next door to another bar. If you’re over 35 move on, this isn’t really a high-end lounge, it’s a pick-up joint with burgers. Oh, one more thing. The sign claiming a special Steak Burger, well by the time we left, that sign was No Where to be found !!! Buyer Beware! And bring protection, you may need it. If you get lucky.

I’m confused. This place is part warm atmosphere and lighting and part ‘Tonys’ with loud live music and TV screens everywhere. Think I’m done drinking $ 30 pours in what has quickly become a sports /TV bar.

Fun new hangout! Live music on the weekends and wonderful drink selections. In a town filled with bars catering to the college crowd, it’s refreshing to see the new locally owned joints, such as this, pop up that has a bit more mature of an audience. I definitely will be back to this establishment.
