Do not eat here!!! I should preface this by saying that I always check my receipts and my credit card statements…3 times in my life have I found a discrepancy between tips that I have left and what waiters have actually charged. Ate at this restaurant with 3 friends on March 5th, and paid by credit card. 2 weeks later, on comparing my restaurant receipt with my American Express bill, I noticed that extra tip had been added to my bill. Just called the restaurant to speak to the manager and he is looking into the situation. However, this behavior is completely ILLEGAL and unethical. Recommend you stay away from this restaurant especially if you do not want to be taken advantage of. Will also be reporting this incident to the better business bureau so that they can more fully look into the situation as well. Service was also slow and food mediocre.

Great place on beach, great people, but price and quality doesn’t meet expectations, if you’re staying on the hotel feeling lazy and don’t want to go somewhere else it’s an okay place, but it’s much better option out there to try:)

Stayed at B Ozcean resort where this restaurant is located and really enjoyed this spot for breakfast. Staff is incredibly pleasant(specifically server Fabian and hostess Nadine) and very professional. Really enjoyed seeing them every day during our stay. The food is good. All American breakfast and the egg white omelette were both my favorites.

Good food, average service. Came in for lunch — we were staying in a nearby hotel. Found the food very good, had a nice mole sauce on my enchiladas, and wife and kids liked the tacos. Service was nice enough but disappeared, even though the restaurant was not busy.

Terrible service. The waitress brought me a Pinot Noir after ordering a Pinot Grigio, her English was very broken. I ordered chicken tacos and received pork tacos. There were only 4 other tables filled in the restaurant and the food took a long time to arrive. The food is also way overpriced. Our lunch for tacos, chips, salsa, and two drinks was $ 88.00. Very disappointing, we will never return. The service and food was much better when the restaurant opened a few years back.

Dos caminos really needs to look into hiring a manager that can run this restaurant. The place is huge(indoor and outdoor seating) yet there were only a few tables full and it took over an hour to get our 2 dishes and over 25 minutes to get a drink. The server told us the bartender was backed up and we thought by who? The 10 other people here? The table next to us had been waiting for so long they ended up getting up and leaving without food. We sat at the table with empty drinks too. The food was good(although somewhat overpriced and presentation lacking) but I can’t get over the slow service. If it wasn’t in the hotel I can’t imagine they would ever stay open.

Breakfast was so bland I had to ask for hot sauce… Try to avoid that stuff due to heartburn. Presentation was nice(see picture). Waiter was good however hostess was a real witch and kept yelling at all wait staff, very unprofessional. Don’t need to visit here again. The photo is of the breakfast salsa verde casserole. Essentially, chips, cheese and beans with egg on top. UPDATE– breakfast is two stars but lunch and dinner were delightful. Salad was on point– see photo. And the chorizo Mac and cheese is phenomenal and had me crawling back for a second helping.

It is a lovely spot with a wonderful outdoor patio. The service was spot on-polite and attentive. I enjoyed the Dos Enchiladas. It is two different types of chicken enchiladas with a side of black beans and rice. Yummy! The homemade guacamole looked good so next time I will order that. I recommend giving it a try.

I’ve been to Dos Caminos a few times now — and it’s beer pretty consistent. It’s literally feet from the sand(although the view is more of A1A than the beach), but the sound of the wave outside makes for nice ambiance. Located in the B Ocean Hotel(iconic, Yankee Clipper), you will get a nice mix of locals and guests. I’ve been here a couple of times for breakfast/brunch now… On my last visit I was staying in the hotel and it was just super convenient to drop in for an early morning bite. Dining al fresco before a beach day is a nice option, but of course as a local I don’t fully take advantage of the amazing beach we have here… but next beach day, I’ll drop back in! The Quesadilla is solid. Scrambled eggs, bacon, queso, warm handmade tortillas — they add some sour cream on top. It was super filling. We also had some drinks in the evening on my last stay. The bartender wasn’t the nicest, but the margaritas were solid! They had shut down the kitchen, but gave us some chips and salsa. Best part is the validate your parking!

Found this place online and it was listed as a Top 10 Mexican Restaurant in South Florida. Not busy at all, had to go to the bar to find anyone. Bartender looked for a waiter but couldn’t find one so she told us to sit at the bar. We asked to sit at one of the high tops and she reluctantly agreed. She knew nothing about the menu or how the food was prepared. Now for the food. No complementary chips and salsa. Over priced drinks and entrees with just average taste. Barely warm. Water served in a plastic cup and we’re paying $ 60 for lunch! Never again… save your time and money.

Very good breakfast here. Enjoyed the Chilaquiles verdes con huevos. Hot coffee with refills. Good service too. Nice to sit outside but a few Mosquitos buzzing around even at 9:00am. Came back later for drinks that night. This time I sat inside at the bar. They make a good strong margarita but a little pricey at $ 12.00 Overall I will be back again.

I expect to pay inflated prices in touristy places, but I expect the food to be at least average. My $ 14 plate of three tacos carnitas was poorly made. The soft corn tortillas were not grilled or heated and ended up completely breaking apart when I removed them from their holder. The texture was mealy, as if they’d just come straight out of a bag. The pork wasn’t moist, nor was it very flavorful. The salsa(that I had to ask for) was spicy, smoky, and tasty. Much, much better carnitas can be found at almost any Mexican Tacqueria. The tacos were accompanied by a small bowl of black beans and very dry rice. The rice and beans were for the table(one other diner). I noticed a solo diner had his own bowl of rice and beans, while they bring the same size bowl for a table of two. The server was warm, friendly, and quickly apologized for an error in our order. Aside from the salsa, the only positive part of my experience. I left with a lighter wallet, a little hungry, and disappointed with the dinner.

Review is for the bar only. When we realized that Wrecks as had closed at 11, we wandered over to the other hotel bar which closes at 11:45. And the bartenders were not happy to see us. They had already shut down and cleaned the frozen drink machines for the night so no icy goodness for us. We ordered a couple of straight up mixed drinks and were served. That’s about all I can say. I get wanting to go home and that posted hours are posted hours but c’mon.

3 Stars for a pretty good breakfast that is pretty expensive… I ordered the Huevos Rancheros for breakfast with the pico de gallo on the side(be aware that the pico is spicy!). I enjoyed the dish though it was difficult to cut through the tortillas under the eggs. The flavors were all there though and I enjoyed it. My fella ordered the bagel with lox. It was pricey and served in a bit of an odd way. The salmon was already placed on the bagel with yogurt and cream cheese on the side(the cream cheese was served in a disposable Philadelphia cup which was strange considering the price). This seemed a bit out of order since you typically add cream cheese earlier in the process. A big plus though was that their orange juice is fabulously pulpy and seems fresh. Overall a good breakfasting I’m sure I’ll be back soon.

I don’t just give 5 star reviews but this was the best meal that I have had in florida in years. Simply wonderful. Sitting outside with the smell of the ocean it could not get any better. The desert is to die for. Highly recommend this place.

I had great brunch food at the NYC location, so I figured I’d give the Fort Lauderdale location a try. First off, it’s located inside B Hotel so you have to park in their garage, and walk through the garage to get through. Of course we didn’t realize that and walked awkwardly through the back. Service was decent, prices were high, and food was bleh. The Mac and cheese had no taste, the tacos had way too many conflicting sauces, the lime mushrooms were the low point of the night. None of the food was hot. The menu also clearly stated taco plates come with salsa, but the waitress was convinced otherwise. Overall, an overpriced disappointment. Avoid if you can.

As a Starwood Platinum, I ate here 3 times during a stay because our breakfast credit was to this restaurant. The breakfast food itself was really good — we had the huevos rancheros, skirt steak, and chef’s omelet and really liked all of them. And, to top it off, they have 50 cent mimosas if you buy a breakfast entrée, so you can get your party started early. My only gripe is that the wait staff is really hit or miss. The first day our waiter was excellent — very attentive and knowledgeable. The second day, our waitress was difficult to track down and had almost nothing to say to us, it was weird. And our third waiter was just ok. Some training to make the wait staff as nice and friendly as the other hotel staff at this Sheraton is(who were great) would go a long way in making this place better.

During a recent trip to Fort Lauderdale I had the opportunity to dine at Dos Caminos in the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach. I am usually a little apprehensive about restaurants in hotels because they tend to be a bit pricey and not worth the money. I did some research ahead of time and found out that Dos Caminos is a chain with locations in NYC, Atlantic City, and Vegas as well. Interesting. I love Mexican food(bring on the tacos) so I was willing to give it a try. We had a 1:30 pm reservation which gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal before our 3:30 pm spa appointments. When we first walked in I didn’t think the place was very big. When you enter from inside the hotel you start out in the bar, but behind it is a huge restaurant complete with outdoor seating. After looking over the menu both Laura and I decided to go with the tacos. You get three per order, served on warm hand made corn tortillas with a trio of salsas and midnight rice & beans deluxe. Laura had the Mar y Tierra tacos(grilled marinated skirt steak, tecate battered rock shrimp, sriracha aioli, bacon guacamole) and I had the Pescado tacos(grilled mahi-mahi, spicy slaw, smoked chile aioli, guacamole, whole wheat tortillas). Our meals came out and we were both impressed with the amount of food. Before we could even figured out where to start the waitress came over with a HUGE bowl of housemade guacamole and chips. I felt a little bad because Laura doesn’t eat guac, but then she brought out the trio of salsa that went along with it. All of the food was amazing! I love Mexican food, but I always worry about it being too spicy(I’m a bit of a wuss). There was just the perfect amount of spice in everything we had. Even the trio of salsas had something for everyone. The prices were a little on the high side for lunch($ 17& $ 19 for the tacos), but it was well worth it. The quality and quantity of food definitely made up for the steeper price tag. Just when we thought we were done and going to have to be rolled back to our room, our wonderful waitress came out with birthday flan. Ho-ly crap! Both Laura and I love flan, so our eyes just lit up when she set the beautifully decorated plate on our table. We were both full but there was no way that amazing dessert was going to waste. We ate every last bite of that flan and it was amazing. SO worth the full belly!

This wasn’t our original plan for dinner, but it closed later than our original choice. I’m glad we came here though. We wanted to sit outdoors. There was an entrance into the outdoor seating area, but no hostess stand to be seen. We were informed that we had to go inside all the way to the back to see the hostess. I guess we were supposed to enter from the hotel entrance. That was probably the only complaint I have for this place. I mean, to take a long walk inside just to walk back out to sit outside was pretty stupid. Anyway, our waitress was very nice and helpful. We ordered a guacamole to start. I told her to make it mild, and she brought out extra jalapenos in case we wanted it spicier. She also brought 3 dipping sauces for the chips. They all were kinda bland to be honest. I was gonna order the brisket enchiladas but she warned me that it was a huge portion. I was hungry, but not starving, so I ordered the carnitas tacos instead, and my friend ordered fish tacos. We did a trade so we could try each other’s. They were both very good. Guacamole was good also. We both had the prickly pear margarita. It was awesome. I’m glad I ordered the smaller entrée because I was able to have dessert. I chose one scoop each of dulce de leche, and Mexican chocolate. They were both super good, and extremely reasonably priced. It was a great dinner.
