Ambience is great, but the service is lacking(except for the guac man — he was super friendly). I love that there is a guac & margaritas place right on Las Olas, but so do a lot of people — there’s a potential 2 hour wait! Rocco’s knows they’re great too, as their prices are high. The guac is a must! You get a lot and it’s made fresh right in front of you. You can get it mild, medium, or hot. We got hot and it wasn’t that spicy, but it had a little kick at the end. I got a shrimp taco and a pulled pork taco. They weren’t anything special. No lime or sour cream on the side, but it came with a taco sauce to dip. Bottomline: come if you want to have chips and guacamole & a margarita!(but perhaps not on a Saturday night, because you will wait for 2 hours!)

The atmosphere is awesome, there is something so «cool» about the restaurant and its décor. Waited about 25 mins for a table on a Wednesday. This place seems quite popular, can’t imagine what a slow day is like. The table side guac really is incredible, best appetizer. Had their Rocco tacos(chicken & beef) this place is definitely worth checking out if you’re a Mexican food junkie, loved everything.

A chain, yes, but a great place to get some Mexican food from friendly servers. This one fills up quickly, so heading there for an early lunch(11?) – especially if you go with the table-side guac – makes sense. We started with the table-side guac: expensive, but a good way to complement a meal. Entrees(tacos and enchiladas) were filling, and the margaritas hit the spot. Recommend, especially for groups.

I love the décor in this restaurant. It’s so important for me to see a restaurant well decorated. I enjoyed the vibe and the customer service. Thanks to my Unilocal check in I was able to have a Free tequila shot. Was not very strong but what the heck it was free! I had pulled pork and pulled chicken tacos. Very amazed with the amount of protein they serve. I liked the tacos not bad. The wet burrito was very good.

+1 star for the nice waitress, but other than that, this place is really bad compared to the food here. — 1 star for not having salsa as a complimentary dish. — 1 star for having a «Wet Soggy Burrito» when it wasn’t even wet — 1 star for being so expensive. — 1 star for being so dimly lit. — Negative star for the ants on my drink glass and side of the wall The atmosphere is good here for young hip people, and while, I’m still young, I felt like this place was so dimly lit. And the print on their menu was so small. I mean, I’d have to wear glasses just to see what is on the menu.

My boyfriend and I visited Rocco’s Tacos per a suggestion from a friend while we were on vacation. The place was pretty busy on a Friday afternoon, we elected to sit at the bar instead of waiting 15 – 20 minutes for a table. Craving nachos, we ordered an order of the nachos. Our server(the bartender) suggested that we order a half order because the full order is huge. I’m glad she did! The half order of nachos were plenty to satisfy two vacationers with a big appetite. We ordered a few tacos to share, because, I mean, the place is called Rocco’s Tacos and we felt obligated. The tacos were good too, but we were stuffed from the half order of nachos. The drinks were great. The atmosphere was fun, but sophisticated. We went back the next day because we couldn’t stop thinking about how great our food tasted. We’ll be back again next time we’re in Ft. Lauderdale!

Awesome spot AND it’s open late! The table-side guac is delicious – just the right amount of heat and tang. We had the quesadillas, which are crispy and filled with mounds of bubbling, gooey cheese! What could be better? Get a pitcher of the crisp, refreshing sangria to round out the meal and you’ll be in for a fun night! The atmosphere feels very New York with a dimly-lit bar and awesome Mexican-inspired décor. They have a DJ at night who plays awesome throwback(Ja Rule included). Get some friends and go for a group dinner!

The table side guac was absolutely delicious! We were here with a group everyone loved the guac. Everyone else also really enjoyed their food however my dish came out wrong not once… but twice. They were very apologetic, but there was no mention of compensating me for my troubles at all. I would return here for the guac, but I’m not sure that I’d get another meal with all the issues they had with my meal this time.

Came here this past weekend with 9 ladies for a Bachelorette party. Service was phenomenal– seriously this girl went above and beyond to please our party– from splitting up checks to taking our photo to refilling beverage promptly she was a superstar. Food was delish– we got the chips/guac/salsa to start and the guac was fresh and flavorful and made right at the table. We all got different entrees– I got the Korean tacos which were awesome and came with pickled red onion and a peanut sauce over tender beef — yummmm. Entrees are big, so recommend sharing if you’re going to do apps. Drinks were just okay– we got a couple of pitchers of Margs and they weren’t unbelievable, but I would definitely return for the service and the food.

Ah-ok. Came around midnight on a Sunday and they changed over to the late night menu. Only options were the tacos or nachos. slim pickings but hey if your belly is hunger you roll with it. Unfortunately they were out of chicken, pork and ground beef. So we took shrimp, grilled mahi and steak. The tacos were below average. The only thing that perked the flavor on them was the homemade hot sauces. They were very good. The ambience was fun and sexy. I can see them doing well for happy hour and late night drinking. Our server Paige was fantastic and was attentive to our needs. I would go back since but knowing I will be drinking my taco calories not eating them. The margaritas looked fun and I loved their large tequila selection. Aribe!

I stopped in for take-out based on other Unilocal reviews. We were in town for fuel and minor repairs during a yacht delivery and I wanted something special for crew dinner on our way out Beaufort Inlet. I ordered an assortment of 12 tacos. The food was good — nothing wonderful, but good. Service was slow and inattentive. The hostess sent me to the bar for take-out. I got a menu quickly enough but the bartender ignored me for nearly fifteen minutes despite some waving before taking my order. There was a Unilocal order for a free Tequila shot which is not my thing. A small group of young people(mid-20s?) was at the end of the bar celebrating a birthday so I gifted them my shot. They were pleased and the bartender willingly transferred my shot to them. While I won’t go out of my way to return if I’m in Morehead City again I would eat at Rocco’s again.

Well, we finally made it! Been trying to get in here for a couple years and always get turned off by the long waits. We opted for the easy valet parking, $ 7 pay in advance not bad. Once inside we had our choice even of outside or inside seating and booth or hi top. It was a little warm so we went inside and booth. Andrea, our lovely server greeted us with a smile and went over some menu«need to know stuff». They do brunch on the weekends which includes some bottomless mimosa options. Next she covered the margaritas, available by the glass $ 8.50, pitcher $ 22, bottle $ 85. Just a glass pls, lol. We enjoyed the ritas while we perused the menu. For starters we had to try the freshly made guacamole, prepared table side. We decided to share the California Fish Tacos as our entrée. The guacamole was whipped up pretty quickly and we had our choice of having it mild, medium or hot. We went with medium. Plenty of chips to dip in the guac and we cleaned the bowl, delicious! The tacos came out and looked pretty amazing. Accompanied by a side of rice and black beans, everything looked great. We couldn’t get through all 3 tacos but they were absolutely delicious. Will definitely repeat, Rocco’s has our vote for fresh Mexican and a cool place to eat and drink on Las Olas.

This was my second time at a Rocco’s Tacos. We called in advance since we had a large group of girls. Service was great and I enjoyed our food so much better this time around! We got quite a few margarita pitchers for the table and they were all pretty good. I thought the jalapeño could have been better. For appetizers we got the queso fundido, table side guacamole, and the jalepeno poppers. After all this we were already pretty full! For my main course I had the shrimp quesadilla and it was sooooo good, the best I’ve had in a while! I was so full though I could only eat one piece lol. We had a lot of fun and this location is close to everything around.

The table side guac and warm chips were awesome. The waiter opened the avocados up right in front of us, can’t get any fresher than that! I got the steak quesadilla as my entre. Huge portion, lots of cheese and meat. The wrap was perfectly crispy/flaky. We went at 11pm and stayed until 1am. Great place if you’re in the area at night and want to grab a drink and food!

Awesome Saturday brunch! Brunch hours are Saturday’s and Sunday’s 11am to 4pm. We ordered Huevos Rancheros and Cazuela Bistec. The Huevos were on a crispy taco with refried beans underneath, sunny side up eggs and green chili sauce on top with guacamole on the side. It was the perfect blend of crispy, soft, salty, and creamy. The Cazuela has steak, cheese, eggs, and beans. Excellent flavors! We had unlimited mimosas and bloody marys. Service was great with Andrea and we even got to speak to the Sous Chef James. Highly recommended! Best to come for brunch hours because dinner time is always packed.

How I have lived in FTL for almost 4 years and never reviewed Rocco’s is beyond me, but I digress. Rocco’s is one of those places that is not just the food, it’s the drinks, it’s the experience that makes the place. On any given night Rocco’s will always be packed. On Taco Tuesday it will be SWAMPED. I am a big fan of OpenTable because the points for using it get me restaurant gift cards-but here it really helps-because walking in and asking for a table will make you make a face when you hear«2 hour wait» for a table on a random night. Hey, i’m sure that drives up their bar sales anyway. What you really come here for is the margaritas anyway. I swear they mix crack in with their salt because I’ve never had any others that get me like the ones here. I hardly ever order margs but this place had kick ass ones. Last time we were here BF ordered a cucumber one since he’s been on a cucumber kick lately and it had jalapeño and something else-WOW. Bar service here is always pretty fast and lively, this place gets crammed on almost any night of the week due to the reputation and location so they are used to being snappy. Word of advice, don’t close your tab until you’re SURE about don’t want another drink-they’ll thank you for it. I’ve had a bartender or two give me happy hour price past the time for not closing a million tabs, since doing so is insanely annoying when they know you’re not leaving yet. The other reason you come to Rocco’s-GUACAMOLE. I am a purveyor of fine Mexican-type foods but also am one of those people who absolutely LOATHE cilantro. Therefore it is miserable for me to eat a lot of guacs since most of them not only are made with it, they’re SOAKED in it. Tableside lets you make it however you want. Hot peppers, extra jalapeño, no cilantro-whatever tickles your fancy. Worth it when you finally get the table. An FTL institution for a reason.

Rocco’s is a solid 4 stars in my book. Rocco’s is my «go-to» place when I’m looking for a night out on the town. Typically, people think of clubbing and bar hopping as their night out on the town — but I think of Rocco’s as my night out on the town. It’s probably because Rocco’s has the«night life» atmosphere. You can always expect a long wait, with a packed bar, and loud music. The food is always consistent. I’ve never been to Rocco’s and NOT order the table side guacamole. It’s a must when dining at Rocco’s. The guacamole is always fresh(you can see it for yourself when it’s being made right at your table) and the chips are always perfectly seasoned. You also get a small bowl of fresh salsa, which is more like pico de gallo. I always order the«wet burrito» with shredded beef. Sometimes, if I’m feeling on the wild side, I’ll order the«wet burrito» with pulled pork. Either way, the«wet burrito» is delicious. It’s also a «bang for your buck». For about $ 13 you get this huge ass burrito with a side of guacamole, a tomato mixture like pico de gallo, and sour cream. Usually Mexican restaurants charge you more if you want both guacamole and sour cream, but not Rocco’s. The drinks are always good. I’ve tried the classic, strawberry, mango and pomegranate margaritas. Out of those, the strawberry margarita is by far my favorite. And just by checking in on Unilocal, you get a free shot of tequila. The last time I went to Rocco’s our server allowed my girlfriend and I to check in on Unilocal to receive two free shots of tequila! The service is just average. (Hence my reason for taking away 1 star).

Rocco’s Taco’s is one of those places I make sure to bring my out of town guests, primarily because it’s good; has that kitschy vibe to it that everyone seems to love, good food, and great margaritas, and well, you know, I like eating here too… First things first I’m the realist. The wait usually is ridiculous so be ready for that. As much as I do love it here, is it worth waiting 90 minutes for? I’m not sure. I always end up doing lunch here at odd hours as to avoid the wait and typically it works. The service is always good. I’ve had some not-so-wonderful servers, but I’ve also had many who were great. If you’re going to order anything– you have to get the table side guac. That’s right people, they make it right in front of you. And the chips are endless. ENDLESSSSSSSS. I typically get the wet burrito co rojo or the taco salad. If I’m getting a taco I always recommend the carne asada. If you’re ordering tacos– get three. You’ll need that many to be full. I also like their red rice and refried beans too. A pitcher of well margs will run you $ 22 and you’ll get about glasses out of it. I’ve never come here for taco Tuesday and probably never will because of the horror stories I’ve heard about the waits both regarding seating and food delivery, but I won’t let that stop me from coming back any other time.

Wowza, Rocco we loved ya!!! Listen, Florida has all these places with names I usually avoid like «Anthony’s New York Pizza» or «Brooklyn Water Bagels» and for this New Yorker, they suck nads. The words«Florida and Pizza» typically don’t belong in the same sentence. Now don’t email saying Joeys Pizza in Boca will change my life and mom my dresses me funny. Easy Unilocaler, its the Christmas season. We’re looking inside and seeing the fun looking décor(I’m still a little leery) we’re shown to a private room. I check in and boom! My screen shows a free tequila shot with a Unilocal check in(Love Unilocal) now that is how you advertise! We place our orders and one of them was guacamole prepped at the table. A table was wheeled into the room and the guac chef starts mixing up the fresh guac. My niece is going wild, she just discovered guacamole and along with the fresh chips makes this an unforgettable meal. Our pitcher of Sangria is washing everything down nicely. Our meals come out, everything is just spot on. Rocco. you. you! From the large and fun looking space to the good drinks and fun food, Rocco provides some good tacos and tequila. I’m a fan. Yo Rocco! Ya did good by us

English: I love Rocco’s Tacos for it’s vibrant social scene, it’s famous guacamole, and it’s friendly hospitality. But I can’t fully enjoy it for one simple yet important reason: the music is SO loud! It’s an excellent place to meet people or to dine often with friends, but no one will be able to hear you. Besides that, it is still one of the most popular restaurants in the area and I’ve always had positive experiences.
