The best coal fired pizza in South Florida. The atmosphere is very enjoyable and«hip». The service was great and the pizza had lots of flavor. The place is small unfortantly you can not eat outside and this is the only restaurant on Las Olas that does not have outside sitting because the city will not allow it! The grill cheese is must!

One of the best pizza spots in Ft Lauderdale. Cheese pizza was delicious with the right enough amount of sauce. Tried out the pepperoni and mushroom and that one had a heavier sauce. Wasn’t bad but would recommend the cheese!

Exactly what we wanted, something more authentic — not the big company style pizzas this time. Great salad too

Ok, my office oredered some Luigis for lunch today and it was sooooo good, since I only got one slice at work l had to go back and order some more. I had the pepperoni mushroom banana pepper 12″ and it was absolutely wonderful. The service was great for it being a carry out. And when I pulled up the opened the door for me and greeted me– to me it’s the little things that count the most! Thanks Luigis!

We went here for our last night on our vacation in Ft. Lauderdale! Having a father from New York, I’ve been born and bred into knowing«great» pizza when I find it. This restaurant had without a doubt some of the greatest pizza I have ever had! The place is very small, with only around 8 or 9 tables, however, the staff is very attentive and friendly when you first walk in! The pizza came out very fast and fresh, and this was very impressive considering how busy they were! This is definitely a must-eat!

Pizza was good. Plenty of toppings and great cheese flavor. Crust was fantastic– service left something to be desired. We finished our drinks before the pizza came out and never had a refill– or another visit from the server until the check came. There was 1 other table dining with us.

Our go-to for delicious take-out pizza. We call in our order and the pie is ready for pick-up in under 15 minutes. The sauce is the best in town. Dining in, service is either excellent or dismissive – but nothing can dull the pleasure of that first slice, fresh out of the oven. Ask for the hot pepper oil!

Coal fired pizza is all the rage. We all know the one that started it all in South Florida and Luigi’s is trying to take a piece of the pie.(See what I did there?) We started out with the house made potato chips. They are sliced from real potatoes, very thin, and fried to order. Super fresh and crispy. I only wish there were something to dip them in. Maybe some garlicky dip would be Italian-ish? Next up, the classic margherita pizza. Very delicious out of the oven, fresh aromatic basil, and the sauce and cheese blended well. The crust had the normal burnt flavor that we have all become accustomed to with coal fire pizzas. Yum! The place is pretty small and they have a small free parking lot in front of the restaurant(pretty much the only place on Las Olas that offers that!) One thing that is kind of annoying is no soda fountain. Otherwise, the service was spot on, very helpful and always there when you needed someone. I will be back.

A nice little restaurant for coal fire pizza, very cozy and quaint inside. Our server was awesome. Very friendly and entertaining. Ordered a meat lovers pizza with sausage and pepperoni on top. The sliver were big and the crust was thin. Perfect crispy and delicious. It was oozing with cheese and oil. We also had this calamari appetizer that had olives in a Marinara sauce. First time eating calamari not breaded and fried but stir fried and it was very very good. It came with two slicers of garlic mini baguettes on top which complimented the calamari very well. We wish we had room for desert because there were many options that caught my eye. Guess I’ll just have to go back, the paninis and lentil soup were on my list to try as well. Overall quick turnover and good pizza joint.

We used to go to Luigi’s and the pizza was excellent, and the waitresses were interesting and had personalities. Then a few months ago we ordered delivery pizza. It arrived cold, stale, and tasteless. It WASNOT fresh made; it was previously cooked. A supermarket frozen pizza would have been better. We were deeply shocked and dismayed. So, last week we invited friends to go there for the fish, which had been excellent in the past. A generous filet of grouper, mahi, etc., with a delicious sauce and sautéed spinach on the side. Marvelous. So we ordered the fish. Mine was MUSHY and waterlogged. My wife’s slightly better. Our guests suggested mediocrity. Shocked and dismayed again at the decline of standards. The next early morning, my wife was in the bathroom throwing up-something I have never seen her do, and it was violent. I had a slight case of diarrhea. I called and asked to speak to the manager; wasn’t there. Call back requested, and never happened. The interesting waitresses were gone, and the place lacked the original atmosphere. It seemed dull and much less lively. It used to be so engaging. I believe the place had been sold, and now the new owners are out to sea and don’t know what they are doing. I believe the fish served us was not as the waiter said, i.e., fresh everyday, and was treated to reduce the smell, and reducing the grouper to mush. Some people should never go into the restaurant business.

Pizza was great. Quaint spot with a homey vibe to it. Service was top-notch and food was served in record time. Staff was extremely friendly. Not lots of space inside, which I appreciate. Just may want to consider time to visit given the wait may be longer due to high traffic and minimal space :)

Love this place! Ambiance is casual, food is amazing and salad is so good. Parking might be a little tricky on busy nights but the portions are great. Staff is super friendly. You’ll love it!

I. Love. This. Pizza. I’m usually a stickler for getting pizza with«stuff» on it. I hate plain cheese pizza. Need some nutrition! Anyways, my boyfriend and I get the Margherita every time. It’s simple, but so good. The delicious sauce really shines with this pizza. Also, the I love their house salad. The dressing is really refreshing and the boiled eggs with olives are just so so very good. I would also recommend the calzones and tiramisu. I didn’t enjoy their eggplant Parmesan, but because I love everything else so much I wouldn’t dock any stars off. Definitely a delicious place for pizza(and they have some cheap bottles of wine, which is always a plus).

Went out on a daddy date with my two girls, when we arrived at Luigi’s, we were sort of lost when we got in, we didn’t know if we were to sit down or wait for someone to seat us, someone finally came to us and sat as down. The girls ordered the Spaghetti Meatball special(1 portion was enough for both) and I ended up getting the Calzone with Italian Sausage and Homemade Meatballs. The food was excellent, but the portion of the calzone was tiny for the price, I was expecting a calzone that was slightly larger and had more filling. Other than that, the restaurant is very small and if the place is packed you wont be able to move.

Super restaurant italien !! Les pizzas sont delicieuses et bien garnies. Le service est rapide et les serveurs sont très acceuillants. Le coin bar est sympa ! Nous avons mangé une pizza de taille 16′ pour 35 $ avec 3 boissons(pourboires compris).

So Luigi’s would actually get an extra star from me if they just made what I asked for, buttttt they refused so three stars it is. More on that later. My boyfriend and I were looking for a pizza joint on a Tuesday night while staying in Fort Lauderdale. Luigi’s got great reviews, so we ubered our way over there. The place is SMALL and a little bit crowded — we spent our meal giggling about things overheard from the table next to us(who were clearly on a first date. LOLZ). We ordered a caesar salad to start, and our waitress advised us that the half-sized salad would be more than enough for two people. She was right, and we appreciated her tip. The salad was good; we finished the entire thing happily. I’m not overly picky about pizza — I’ve never met one I didn’t like. However, whenever I can help it, I want extra fresh/buffalo mozzarella. It’s my thing. I love fresh mozz. Luigi’s clearly HAS fresh mozz — they put it on several of their pies — so I asked for a margherita pizza with extra fresh mozz. The waitress told me no-go. They don’t change their«signature margherita». Seriously? In fairness, it does say that on the menu, but I don’t understand a restaurant that won’t accomodate requests for its paying customers. She assured us the signature margherita was delicious, so we ordered it. And guess what — I wish it had more cheese. It was well-made as far as crusts and fresh ingredients go, but there wasn’t nearly enough cheese. Bummer, because this place has real potential to be a favorite pizza spot. Service was great(not her fault they don’t make simple changes to please their customers *shoulder shrug*), food was served quickly, and quality was fresh. If you don’t love cheese like me, you’ll probably like Luigi’s just fine.

Good! I’d go back, and if this were neighborhood place, I’d be a regular. The pizzas are a little thicker than what you’d get at places like Speedy Romeo and Paulie G’s in Brooklyn or Marta in NYC. The toppings were excellent. We had a large split pie, with fra diavolo on one side and margherita on the other(20). A half house salad(8) could feed two, easy. It was very good. The GF had a glass of Tiziano Chianti(9). TOTAL36.9(01/12/2015). TIP: It’s a casual setting in a little storefront behind a small parking lot directly on Las Olas. TIP: The house salad can be heavy on the onions. TIP: Crowded parking!

It’s as if this place has perfected the art of the pizza pie! Since my last review, I have had countless additional pies from here, and they get better every time. I’ve tried the other popular joints in town, and although some of those are quite tasty, the just can’t beat Luigi’s signature margherita. Not only are the pies legit, but they have some of best meatballs in town(funny given their proximity to a certain meatball restaurant mere blocks away). Something about their sauce is just addicting. Oh, and their house salad dressing is something special too!

Disclaimer: I have a deep love of NYC pizza(Grimaldi’s, Lombardi’s, Di Fara…), so I’m somewhat unfairly comparing Luigi’s to those. Overall: a decent pie. Tried the Margherita and it was ok – but the sauce wasn’t quite as I like it. I like a little bit of a sweeter sauce where you can really taste those San Marzano tomatoes. The crust was also a tad soggy/wet in the center; I like a good crisp crust throughout. But having said all of that, I did happily eat three slices!

This place has been open for three years and is serving great pizza. There are about 10 tables and a small bar area. Pickup and delivery are also options. There is an attached parking lot with free parking on Las Olas. We ordered the ½ order of the House Salad. It comes tossed with a tangy vinaigrette dressing. Quality lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, garbanzo beans, and cucumbers are mixed together with the dressing. A half portion is enough for 4 people. We ordered the large veggie pizza. It was amazing! The veggies are so fresh. You can swap out veggies for others if you don’t like the ones listed. The crust is super thin and the sauce very fresh tasting. The large is enough for four people. For dessert we split the homemade tiramisu. It was awesome because it had a surprise in it… chocolate chips. It was only $ 6. The staff is friendly and efficient. There are tvs with sports on them. I will definetly be returning!
