Following up on my previous review, I’ve been returning to Pie-Zan’s, for years now, and that is for the simple reason that they make the BEST pie in Fort Lauderdale. Since my 2013 review, I’ve sampled at least three dozen other restaurants, from North Miami to North Lauderdale, and no one else comes close. I happily challenge any Unilocal user to point me in the direction of something better! The staffs’ brevity is more than conpensated for by their flawless consistency. I’d never considered myself a «regular» of any establishment, until Pie-Zan’s somehow became a weekly staple in my diet. Every pasta, pie, and appetizer will please. Their homemade gravy is Amazing, and their crust is both simple and divine. Try them once, and you will return.

I had a little trouble finding the place since I wasn’t for Florida being right next to a bail bond agent threw me off a little. But once I found the place everything else was good. The food was hot and good, the pizza slices are big and maked just right. The garlic bread was soft which is a big thing for me, most places bake the bread too hard. Not the best pizza in the world but I will visit them again when I come back.

I had a craving for a good meatball sub and decided to try this place. The«zandwich» was a decent size, but not enough flavor, needed more gravy and meatballs were too dense. There was no fork in the package, so i guess you are expected to pick it up! I have had the Caesar salad there in the past which was good.

Ordered the 50⁄50 sausage & meatball sub. Because that didn’t total $ 10, I also ordered the spinach roll. Sandwich tasted delicious, until about 3 bites in, I realized that the sausage was pretty pink in the middle. So much for the rest of my sandwich. The spinach roll was tasty, but the bread in the middle was mushy. I would probably try them again with other choices.

Personal pizzas were the way to go for a family of three with three completely different tastes. Both kid/picky eaters loved it. Mine was delicious with the caramelized onions and roasted peppers.

Garlic bread was not very good, pizza was pretty good and the ranch was very strange. It was watery but with strong hints of what I think is dill and was almost spicy.

Delivered during a storm in a timely manner and the food was great! We ordered a ½ papa habanero ½ ricotta fresco small pizza and the Italian salad, and there were plenty of leftovers. Both pizza styles were delicious and I loved that they didn’t skimp on the veggies with the salad… Not to mention the yummy homemade dressing.

On my first night in Ft. Lauderdale we got into our hotel(The Westin) pretty late and were tired so we just placed an order for a pizza. There was about a 45 minute wait, but the pizza was delicious and since I had a rental car of my own while I was in town I know the longer wait for the pizza was definitely because of traffic, and not a lazy delivery guy! So, just be patient! Prices were reasonable too. I’m used to Jersey-style pizza and this one was not too bad for Florida! :)

Had their«treehugger» vegetarian pizza delivered to our hotel and it was amazing! Delicious local pizza option. Highly recommend.

The garlic knots are fantastic. None of the fake«butter» spray. These are the real deal with fresh garlic, cheese and oil. Thin crust pizza was tasty too. Good value for the money.

We ordered meatballs from here that were drastically undercooked, and I’m pretty sure I got some kind of food poisoning from the Caesar salad. We’ve had the pizza here and it’s not bad, but needless to say, we will not be eating here again.

Well Italian New Yorker here just moved to Ft. Lauderdale from Hollywood and was looking for a new pizza place since«Joe’s Old School Pizza» is out of delivery range and my pick up range. So Unilocal shows me «Pie-zan’s». I check out the menu and picture gallery, and I’m interested. So I make the call and before I put my order in I’m told they dont deliver to me the 1.1 mile away because of fraudulent orders. So I have to suffer, well they will suffer from ever getting my business and I’ll be sure to not reference Pie-zan’s when someone asks me for a good pizza place around here.

We ordered take out from here on Saturday night and I wasn’t too crazy about it… We ordered a cheese pizza, wings– bbq and mild, and a Caesar salad. The pizza was very good, baked until crisp. The salad was okay– the dressing was too anchovy-ish for me. The wings weren’t the greatest… If I knew then what I know now, I would have just ordered the pizza and nothing else. 3 stars.

VERY disappointed. The $ 16 «Tree hugger» pizza, which has a description that literally starts with the phrase«No meat here!», and which I ordered specifically because it had NO meat, was covered with ground sausage. By the time I scraped it all off and put the veggies back on, it was pretty cold. Shame on you for that. No stars for the pizza screw up. I’m giving 2 stars because the delivery was on time, the delivery guy was friendly, and because the Greek salad was great.(or did you pour bacon grease on it??? Wouldn’t doubt it.)

My husband and I decided to give this place a shot after seeing the many great reviews. They have signs all over the walls with advertising saying they were voted«Fort Lauderdale’s #1 pizza» Of course, I saw that and my appetite grew even more, because pizza is my first love. I wanted to order absolutely everything on the menu, but my husband brought the sense back in my head, and we ended up ordering their House Special. This pie had everything but the kitchen sink… it had sausage, peppers, mushrooms, black olives, pepperoni and some other yummy things. The pie took about 15 mins to arrive to our table, and it looked GLORIOUS! However, when I took my first bite I was a bit disappointed. The marinara sauce was very blend, and while the pizza had all those other toppings, it still tasted very sad. The crust was pretty decent, but after trying other magnificent crusts(Mellow Mushroom) It’s hard to settle for a plain old crust. I won’t say this is the worse pizza I have ever had, but it is most def not the best one in Fort Lauderdale. I am not sure if I would come back here, it was unfortunately not something that made my taste buds go crazy. boooo

We found our pizza place! Just moving down here about a month and a half ago we tried a few pizza joints out and nothing really made me want to come back until we ordered from pie-zans. This place under promised and over delivered! They said it would take an hour; it came in 40 minutes. We ordered 6 wings for $ 5.95. Bbq. Risky I know but the wife wanted it. The wings were on the bigger side and the bbq wasn’t overpowering like some places. Very good and would recommend. We also ordered a large white pizza for $ 13.95 and this was delicious! The only thing they could potential change is the crust. I’m no pizza expert, but if they would brush a little garlic butter on the crust it would be magical. Even though I couldn’t eat the crust I still gave it 5 stars because the rest of the pie was outstanding. **Edit** Got Delivery last night and ordered the same pizza and wings, but added stuffed shells. Not sure if they took my advice or forgot it the first time, but the crust had garlic on it! It was delicious, I at the whole slice. Frankly I ate to much and now I Can’t move. The Stuffed shells were good. Standard. Didn’t blow me away, but still worth getting. I would order them again.

I’ve literally passed Pie-Zan’s every day for almost two years. With the Monday thru Wednesday cheese pizza special at $ 6.99 for a large pie, I stopped in tonight. Only problem — today is Thursday. Alexis was my server and I was promptly offered a menu. Seeking a to-go order, I was more into a sandwich for my evening meal. Ordering the 50⁄50 Parmigiana, the sandwich was a meatball and sausage parmigiana straight up. Alexis inquired whether I wanted a drink and when I stated«no,» she offered up that for a dollar more I could have a Dr. Brown’s soda and a bag of chips. I spent the extra buck. Sandwich preparation was a little slow but not unexpected. The menu warned that everything was made to order and that preparation time could take longer. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. They deliver north to Las Olas where I live locally, so I grabbed a menu. Sandwich was tasty and good. I will return in the future. /s/William E. Lewis Jr., Fort Lauderdale, Florida
