Once in a lifetime shot to come here. I never even knew this place existed. It’s right by the high roller bathrooms, there’s a hostess waiting in the hall with a clipboard with a VIP list. Friend of the family plays at the Hard Rock frequently is how I got invited, it was my first time to walk through the doors to Plum Lounge. Modern décor like couches, comfy chairs, flat screen TV, artwork, orchids, lots of room for lounging. There’s a full service bar, and waitresses who take turns doing the rounds. A long high-top seating table running along the length of the buffet. The buffet is smaller in portions than you would be used to seeing at buffets but replenished often. Grab a huge plate and add mini plates and bowls on the large dish, again new for me to see at a buffet but I enjoyed it — the food on my plate didn’t touch. Soups, Salads, cheeses, cured meats, a hot food section where the chefs prepare your dish made to order. The food looks amazing, and with a chef preparing it how can you go wrong? Well it didn’t taste as good as it looks, and the food was cold. I saw the chefs taking the food out if a mini fridge they have built in the table below and heat up ready made dishes like Lobster Mac and cheese, and cook up a fish filet. Nothing I ordered came to me hot, just warm. I also saw the women chef grabbed food off the buffet(cheese, meat) with her hands and was eating a few times, gross and a turnoff especially in an open kitchen! There was a dessert section which was just okay. I did like the lemon tart, very yum. Beautiful place in the Hard Rock to get away from all the smoke and people. You need to have a friend invite to get in here, and with comps it’s most likely free! If I had paied for this meal I would give three stars, the food looks better than it was.
