Ambiance was superb. The shrimp was fabulous! Chicken was good. Service was good. It was very expensive though. In my opinion, it’s overpriced.

Absolutely positively the finest restaurant in Fort Lauderdale if not South Florida. The service impeccable the food fabulous. We have been dining here for decades. There isn’t anything on the menu that isn’t spectacular. Highly recommend.

RB is one of the premier dining experiences in South Florida and has been for well some two decades. Kenny and staff make you feel at home. The food is consistently superb. I have dined here dozens of time and always a hit with my guests.

I go here for lunch all the time. Unfortunately they are only open for lunches on Thursdays and Fridays, but their food is the best chineese food that I’ve ever had. Their lunch prices are reasonable. Highly recommended. Try the Orange Beef: p

Best Chinese in Fort Lauderdale, very fresh and clean flavors. Oldie world feel but not at all stuffy. I recommend a visit.

I’m disappointed to have to write this review because Rainbow Palace has been one of my favourite restaurants for many years. The food is always absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the last time we went with a group of 6 and had over $ 800 dollar bill I was extremely disappointed. There were dead cockroaches in the women’s bathroom and it looked like it had never been cleaned. When eating at an upscale restaurant especially Chinese food you always hope that cleanliness is one of their top priorities. Maybe they need a cleaning service. I don’t think we’ll be returning which is unfortunate.

BEWARNED. We *should* have heeded the warning signs, but paid too much attention to the four and five star ratings in Unilocal. 1. No Chinese people ATALL, not even on the staff. We did not dare peek into the kitchen. 2. Lots of white octogenarians. 3. 1950’s-style fancy table settings. 4. Exceedingly verbose descriptions of daily specials. 5. Waiters in ties and jackets. We were fully expecting American Chinese food, but the food was like the Fu Manchu of Chinese restaurants. Even David Carradine was more Chinese. That said, the chef did not overlook the seafood – nearly everything else fell clearly into the category«Chinese-themed». Everything was also exceedingly expensive. $ 6 for an inferior egg roll, $ 25 for overcooked duck in a sweet soy glaze, $ 24 for a plate of seafood fried rice and $ 21 for a noodle dish with some meat in it. Kudos to the numerous waiters who collect 20% from every table. Anyone who thinks this place is good really needs to get out more. It’s an anachronism that is about as Chinese as Christopher Lee.

Have been suffering withdrawals of good Chinese until this very moment. So sad we never gave it a try in all the 8 yrs we live here. Old school charm classy, elegant great service and the food we could not stop raving. Had the wonton soup which I wish I could have another, the schzechuan wontons were unbelievable, the sesame chicken to die for. The Lo Mein delish. We had the pork fried rice so light and yummy. Needless to say we have found a new spot! Again service was second to none. Next time I will try the crispy steak

Over priced. Service was ok. We wanted a glass of wine with our dinner. They brought over the list but never came back. After 45 minutes, we asked for the check. PF Changs has better service and is much less expensive… Sorry, but true.

The service at Rainbow Palace is always top notch. All of the waiters are extremely knowledgeable and they will treat you like royalty. The food is ridiculously tasty and their portion is large. Here’s what I recommend getting for Appetizers: Duck Noodle Soup or Sesame Scallops Grand Marnier. The Duck Noodle soup is light but full of warm flavors. The scallops is crispy on the outside but tender and deliciously sweet on the inside. The Grand Marnier sauce is very well balanced and not overly sweet. For Entrees, I would recommend: Crispy Steak, Orange Beef or Lamb Chops. If the Lamb Chops special is available — go for that! You can’t go wrong with the Crispy steak. It’s a prime cut, dusted with a water chestnut flour, wok fried, and thinly sliced over vegetables with a garlic, mushroom soy, burgundy wine sauce The Orange Beef is my favorite. It’s perfectly marinated flank steak twice cooked to a wonderful taste of orange and mildly hot spices. Crispy on the outside, yet tastefully tender, with’a touch of Grand Marnier. What can I say, they know how to work their Grand Marnier. The sauce is so good, you’ll want to drizzle it over everything. I would skip dessert.

Food, was amazing. Full of flavor, I ate a lot! Didn’t feel sluggish or «fat» after eating. Service was great and attentive. Saw a group here celebrating a birthday and everyone seemed to have a great time. Portions are good for sharing, one entrée is good for 2 – 3 people!

Service was great. Nice to be back in a high end service restaurant.(Made me miss NYC). The food was very good. Appetizer portion was very small(not meant to be shared at all). Actual meal portion was fine. I felt prices were just a bit too high… But again, it’s an exclusive type/high end dining experience.

Living just outside NYC in Westchester County, this upscale Chinese restaurant in a «10»!! My best find in Ft. Lauderdale since the 10 years we’ve owned down here. Everything is perfect and fresh, Elegant place for date night. Don’t let the location fool you, Florida restaurants in strip plazas work.

The food is good and service is great. Extensive wine list and food is perfected. But you have to pay a lot for all that. Tip: if you get take prices are 30−40% cheaper! Yes you forego the table side service but is that worth that much more plus another 20% tip? I think not. I won’t be back for dine-in but will get take out. Lobster dumplings are good and worth a try. Specialty won ton soup not that special. Chinese eggplant was excellent –way different from American eggplant.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant, and at the top of our go-to list of restaurants in Fort Lauderdale. We love the crispy duck! And the crispy steak, the crispy fish dishes… Anything crispy is great. The lobster dumpling appetizers are absolutely delicious, we always order them. Beautiful setting, definitely more upscale than most Chinese restaurants. On the expensive side, but worth it.

Elegant Chinese restaurant in South Florida. This is one of the best Chinese meals I’ve had. The fried rice was delicate and very tasteful. I loved the wonton soup and the crispy dick had a nice crisp skin. I loved every bite! The service was first class, friendly and very attentive.

Probably the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from outside – it’s located in a small strip mall on a busy highway in suburban Fort Lauderdale. We ordered a lot of dishes off the menu and ate family style and I thought the food was excellent. I thought the high prices $ 30 – 35 per entrée) were justified given the quality of the dishes and the upscale but relaxed ambience of the restaurant. Extensive wine and cocktail list as well. No fortune cookies at the end – a telltale sign that this is not your ordinary Chinese food!

Ok … don’t look any further. This place can cook, they can do service. In one word: outstanding. I had duck as a starter, followed by orange beef. Yes, ist is more expensive than your average take-away, but it is worth every dollar. If you look for an upscale, romantic chinese dinner with excellent food and service? Here you are ! Two more things. Ok, not too many Chinese guests, but is that really important? I don’t think so. Last thing: impressive wine list !
