Ok so this place is great at any time. The brunch is great with $ 15 bottomless mimosas and different menu. On a normal day I love the ginger mule drink, I don’t recall the exact name at the moment. Also the guacamole here is one of the best I’ve had, hands down. The calamari is also tasty. But my favorite is the drunken goat burger. Oh my goodness it is so full of flavor and cooked just right. I can go on about this burger but do yourself a favor and try it(if you like goat that is) :)

Awesome place. According to the bar tender, one of the best plates in the bar was the mussels. I rarely(don’t even remember when was the last time) order mussels for dinner, but I decided to try. Oh my, the best mussels I ever had. Their sauce is incredible, I ended up ordering more bread because I couldn’t stop eating that sauce.

Pit stop after Total Wine in Fort Lauderdale. Czech Pilsner, super duper Asian-Style calamari appetizer, grilled salmon on a salad. The service was a little slow, but the beer and food were excellent.

So one of my sorority sisters just attained her PhD and I was looking to surprise her with a nice dinner. I looked up restaurants in Ft Lauderdale and found this 4 star rated restaurant with ample space for a large group. It was a Saturday night and this place was packed inside and out. Our group sat outside and although it had rained earlier, the night was brisk and mosquito-free! We started with drinks and as the name states, they have 42 different types of beer as well as a shorter list of cocktails and wines. Our table ordered several appetizers to share: bacon and sweet corn guac served with chips, and the spinach and artichoke dip served with these yummy potato chips that tasted like Fritos! Yum, yum, yum! For my entrée I ordered the grilled salmon zest bowl. The salmon was served over a soft brown rice, a veggie stir-fry, sesame seeds and a semi sweet miso glaze. I loved the combination of flavors and the different textures in every bite. I tried my friend’s sweet potatoes fries and someone else’s calamari, both were good but nothing to go crazy about. Although the serving portion for the calamari was plenty. The service was good and the food came out quickly. I definitely plan to return to try their drunken goat burger and roasted brussel sprouts. I must say I love lamb(in addition to your usual meats like chicken, beef, pork, and fish) but I’ve never tried goat. We’ll see how that experience turns out. Get ready!

Ahh, Tap 42, your reputation precedes you. I think I’m the last person in South Florida to try Tap 42 but I guess what’s really important is that I finally did! I’ve tried to come to Tap 42 in the past for brunch(and still plan to one day!) but the wait was hours long and we wouldn’t have even been sat in time for brunch. So, instead, my first experience was on a Friday night around 7:30 for dinner. This was an entirely different place at this time vs. Sunday morning. My friends and I were quickly sat with no wait at all. To be fair, it was a bit rainy outside, so that might have played a role, but either way we were finally in! From the first interaction with our server, I was impressed. I was pretty torn as to if I wanted to order a cocktail or a beer and, to make my decision easier, our server brought me a sample of the beer! So sweet. I ended up getting the drafted old fashion instead because I figured it was something I couldn’t try elsewhere. My friends had the Mule on Tap and Blazin’ Cucumber. Even though I typically prefer gin, I liked my drink best. As for food, I ordered the Drunken Goat burger(So! Good!) and my friends had the Shrimp Mac and Cheese and the Prohibition Burger. Again, I liked my food the best, but that might just be because I love goat cheese. The Mac and Cheese was a pretty close second! I’m excited that I finally had a chance to stop by and I’m looking forward to many more meals here. As for next time, I’ve already got my eyes on the Brussels Sprouts! Cannot wait!

LauderAle and Tap 42, the perfect pair. As soon as we saw the announcement of the launch party, we knew we had to go. LauderAle makes my favorite brews. We got there just in time to take advantage of the happy hour price of $ 3 off each drink. I ordered my favorite — the coconut porter. While we were waiting, we went over to the small tap set up outside and tried the ones that Kyle and the guys from LauderAle were pouring, but I wouldn’t have been willing to trade in my coconut for either of them. For dinner, I decided to order something that would be perfect with my beer, fish and chips. My daughter ordered the Prohibition Burger and we agreed to split. My fish was perfect. Rather than the typical dogfish or similar fish that is generally used for the fish, Tap uses mahi. The beer batter was lightly applied and awesomely fried. The good size pieces were moist, tender and not greasy. They were accompanied by cups of malt vinegar, ketchup and ranch dressing. Okay, I don’t get the ranch, instead of tartar sauce, but I only use malt vinegar anyway, so it didn’t really matter. The burger was thick, juicy and cooked exactly to medium well, as ordered. Both entrees came with a side of fries. When I saw the chocolate bread pudding on the dessert menu, I knew I had to try it. It was a huge slab of bread pudding, enough for 4 people who had just had a full meal. It was custardy and had a good amount of melted chocolate. I would have liked to have had more of the salted caramel sauce on it. There was a bit, but not enough to really complement the chocolate. This would have been 3 ½ stars, if we just had that pesky ½. I rounded it up, but there were a few things that could be better. The food menu is pretty limited. It would have been nice to have more options. We had some service issues, things were pretty slow coming out. The thing that really sort of messed with my meal was that there were no indoor tables, so we were seated outside. In Colorado, 60 degrees in Jan. is greeted with T-shirts and shorts. In So. FL, the same temperature means jackets and Uggs. I was wearing two sweaters and was still uncomfortable. I think part of it was because of the metal chairs, they were cold when we set down and got colder over the next hour. By the time we got home, it took me two hours to thaw out my rear end. If they’re going to seat people outdoors at uncomfortable temperatures, they need to put in some fire pits or heat units.

Stopped by on a Saturday night and they were on a 30 minute wait, but we ended up getting a spot at the bar pretty quickly. Bar is full service so it worked out perfectly. We were greeted pretty quickly by a bartender who cleaned up our spot, got us menus, and brought us our drinks quickly. Ordered the«Meet Your Maker» and the«Drafted Old Fashion». Both were delicious. After about 20 minutes trying to choose what we wanted on the menu(so many delicious looking choices), Ahi Tuna Poke salad was the winner for me. Before we even said anything, a passing bartender noticed it had been a while since we ordered, and promptly returned with our food. Great service! The salad was hands down the best salad I’ve eaten, maybe ever. WAY more tuna than I was expecting, perfectly ripe avocado, mango, and tomatoes. The dressing was awesome, kale was great. But you get the point. I ended up switching to the Old Fashioned for my second drink … It was just that good. Very diverse crowd. I didn’t feel to young, or to old, or too under or overdressed. Good music, all staff was friendly, bathrooms were clean, and food and drinks were moderately priced. We saw that to prohibition burger is $ 5 on Mondays, we will be back, if not for the salad, for that!

Can’t beat $ 5 the prohibition burger on Mondays(with a purchase of drinks). Some talked about long lines but we used the app on our phone«no wait» and we walked right in as soon as we got there. We’ve been going back to this place with friends and family. Love the food and my husband enjoys their beer.

I love hanging out here for brunch on Sunday’s!!! Oh my gosh, our friends truly spoiled us once they introduced us to Tap 42. It was around mother’s day when my husband and I decided to drive down to Miami to meet up with some friends we hadn’t seen in almost a year. Our first meeting took place in Jamaica the previous year at another friend’s wedding. We had such a good time with them that we had to keep in touch to meet again. Mother’s Day weekend was the perfect opportunity. Tap 42 is a live, upbeat, loud, and crowded place to be for brunch on Sunday’s. I think that’s what makes it so enjoyable to get your drink and good eating on, and hang with good company. They serve bottomless mimosas at their Bottomless Brunch that are the best I’ve had thus far. If I only go their for the drinks I’m happy. I can’t remember how much I had to drink that afternoon but let’s just say I represented for the team. Our friends are regulars and have good relationship with the host, even so, we still made reservations. I highly recommend you do so because the place gets packed and you don’t want to spend most of your time waiting on a table. I love the outside seating. It’s open, but shaded, and very comfortable even though they seem to maximize the space to fit a lot of tables. You can always find a seat inside or at the bar which has seating partially in and outside. The food is tasty and oh so good, your mouth screams, «keep em coming», while making those mimosas count.(At least mine does.) A few of my faves : Spicy Tuna & Crab Rolls — a potato bun, avocado(one of my favorite fruits), spicy mayo, cilantro, and sesame. Yum! Yum! Yum! Crispy Asian Calamari — the plate was so huge, it was more than enough for the four of us. Smoked Salmon Bagel — toasted everything bagel(who doesn’t love an everything bagels??), cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, red onion(I love red onions!), and a dill pickle to top it off. This is one of the best I’ve had. The Hangover(hold the turkey for me) — scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, white cheddar, maple hollandaise, served between a French toast challah bun, and fries. I’m hungry now. Of course you could just read the menu but I hope I had your mouth watering and curious enough to want to dive in. And who knows, you just might see me hanging out on a Sunday. My table will be the one overcrowded with Mimosas. ;-)

Tap 42 is the BOMB! Whenever someone mentions brunch, I think of Tap 42 almost instantly! I’ve been here twice, only for brunch though. I will re-review once I come back to eat when there’s no brunch going on. Bottomless mimosas are as bottomless as they get! They bring you the bucket with orange juice, and some cheap champagne. Guaranteed to make you feel good! Food: Green Eggs and Ham Benedict– The pulled pork is made with angry orchard cider. VERYGOOOD. The Hollandaise sauce and salsa verde really helps the dish shine. The salsa helps brighten up the dish with the minimal spice. Crispy Asian Calamari– When I’m asked what calamari should taste like, I think of THESE. They somehow managed to bread the the calamari perfectly, and they’re NEVER gummy. The sweet and sour sauce is truly what takes it to the next level! its almost like a jelly, and has a little spice kick to it. LOVEIT. I love this place! I hope to come back for normal dining hours!

Oh, Tap 42. How do I love thee! Let me count the ways. ;-) When I first heard about Tap 42, I knew that it was a spot known for it’s burgers and every now and then, I do love me good burger! Let’s top it off and say that they are also know for their craft beers. yep! Let’s do this! Helpful hint for when you arrive. Complimentary Valet! Let’s talk about the service: It has always been top notch each time I’ve come. From the warm welcome when being greeted by the hostess to the outstanding service from the waitstaff, I love that everyone always has a smile on their face, knows their product and genuinely wants to be sure you are happy. The first waitress I had recommended an alternative to one of their dishes that absolutely blew my mind(more on that yummy-ness later) & my latest waitress, Sarah, was a gem! She was spunky, funny, attentive and a ball of energy. Ask for Sarah next time your there! She will make your visit so much fun! Drinks, drinks, drinks! So many awesome beers on tap. however will you choose. And their craft cocktails are some of my favorite and are truly unique. Can’t decide between a cocktail and a beer? No need to. they have fantastic Craft Beer Cocktails! My 2 faves are The Mad Apple and The Drafted Old Fashioned — Boy, that old fashioned is fantastic! Food! I always say that I’m going to have a burger but I have still yet to try one of their delicious looking creations. something else always seems to pop out and entice me a bit more than the burger. but I will try one eventually. Back to that amazing yummy-ness that I mentioned earlier: The Grilled Salmon Zen Bowl(with a few moderations). I am highly allergic to fish so I substitute the salmon for steak and add mushrooms — Wowza! This bowl is heavenly! I pretty much have to fight the urge to not lick the bowl clean — I could eat this everyday! . On my last visit, my fiancé and I decided to share a few apps — He opted for the«Chicken Little» Sliders(I didn’t try them myself and he seemed to enjoy them but definitely weren’t his fave). Our other two choices for the night — Korean Chicken Lettuce Wraps and a side of the Green Veggie Fried Rice — Yum! Both Amazing! These two options were the best combo and worked perfect together. My Zen bowl just might have some competition. Next up. I must try the Bottomless Brunch! Who’s with me?!

Monday nights are fantastic with 5 $ prohibition burgers, sometimes takes a while because of the mass amount of burger orders, but gives the perfect opportunity to try out some great appetizers(calamari is the best) YUM! Wednesday nights is ladies night from 7 – 9 drink free? Awesome time for the ladies(and gentleman to).(; happy hour 4 – 7 is 3 $ off alcoholic drinks except for shots. Mon-fri. And to top it off Saturday and Sunday there’s a delicious brunch with some tasty items for brunch alone, with 15 $ for bottomless bloody Mary’s, UFO white beer, and mimosas until 3. A must try is the zen bowl, and the calamari! If that doesn’t full you up, end it with the tasty chocolate chunk bread pudding!!! so good with the vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzled over.

When my landlady /roommate announced at the last minute that I wouldn’t be able to come home after work for at least another hour(WTF), I decided to pop in to Tap 42 for a drink and dinner to pass the time. The pictures and the exterior look very swanky, so I was a little hesitant to go here by myself in my not cute work clothes, but am really glad I did! When I came in I was greeted warmly and promptly by Annie, who was a wonderful bartender and continued to make me feel welcomed throughout my meal. Her personality totally made all my fears about being out of place or judged melt away. The bar was pretty packed for a weeknight, with lots of people who looked like they had also just left work and were meeting friends for drinks. With a huge indoor space and covered patio, this bar would be an excellent venue for group gatherings. I had the Tap 42 vs Funky Buddha exclusive beer, which honestly I don’t remember what it was, but it was good. I want to say it was a red ale but I might be making that up The falafel burger had excellent texture and flavors and had an adorable cornichon on top. The Brussels sprouts were good, but were sprinkled with sea salt. Occasionally I would get a bite with a huge crystal and it would be just way too salty. Definitely good to wash it down with beer, though! Happy hour drinks are $ 3 off everything but shots, so beers are about $ 4 each. Score!

Ok… beware the burger here is a serious health risk, there is a high risk of choking. Let me explain. You take one bite and before you are even consciously aware, you’re scarfing it down with incredible speed. It’s messy, you’re almost sweaty your going at it so quick and before you know it’s gone and I could see needing a smoke, if you were into that sorta thing. Anywho — try and slow down so you don’t hurt yourself. Did I mention the burgers are only $ 5 on Monday? You’re choking now aren’t you? Fries were good too and the ahi salad was da bomb. I also ordered the chicken little sliders and they could be improved. The honey sauce should be on the side because the bun soaks it up too much, also if you made little waffles instead of the bun, major upgrade. Service was great, excellent beer selection and we got a great table. You should go. Don’t choke, I’m sure it’s bad for their insurance premiums.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. We weren’t planning on eating out but we were waiting for someone at the Drs office. This place was a nice surprise because I didn’t check the Unilocal reviews before going in. When we pulled up we needed to valet our car since the place was packed for lunch. Lots of BMWs, Audis and Mercedes in the parking lot so I figured there were a lot of Drs and hospital employees dinning in since it’s basically across the street from the medical center. I also told my wife this place feels a bit pricey just by looking at the parking lot. We sat at the bar since it was the quickest seating. What a tease! There are like 40 beers on tap and I couldn’t enjoy a single one since I was giving blood right after. Tragedy I know! Now before I get to the food I wanted to shout out the blonde lady bartender. She was managing like 25 patrons and she wasn’t skipping a beat. She was extremely attentive and I thought she did a great job. Though we didn’t speak much I understood the professionalism. Now we ordered the Brussels sprouts. I’m not sure I would get these again. They were a bit salty and I didn’t care for he sauce or marinade they had on them. They were broiled very well done and were a tad bitter. My wife enjoyed them though. I ordered the mahi sandwich and she ordered the drunken goat burger. Both around $ 15. Now I figured mahi mahi can be pricey so I knew what I was getting into. That was until I got my sandwich. Now don’t get me wrong, I thought the fish was good, but they didn’t give me $ 15 worth. THe bun is way to big for the amount of fish they provide. As you can see in the pictures, I had a ton of bread left over. Tip for the chef. I don’t mind paying $ 15 and I don’t mind there being a smaller amount of fish then most restaurants, however you should use smaller buns for that sandwich so the breading doesn’t over power the entire dish. The drunken goat tasted great. It is a combo of lamb and beef topped with goat cheese! Very delicious. The patty was a little bigger than the fish, but again the buns are just to darn big. The fries were great. The homemade tartar sauce was unreal! Highly recommend. Overall we spent close to $ 50 after tip and valet on 2 sandwiches and Brussel sprouts. We drank waters. Just like I anticipated walking in. The prices are a bit high for the value they are giving. But I guess if most of your patrons are Drs and nurses I can see why they would inflate the price on their product.

Came here for brunch on Saturday several weeks ago. As expected, this place was extremely busy but we got seats at the bar so we didn’t have to wait for over an hour for a table. I ordered the Green Eggs & Ham Benedict. This is not your typical benedict. This was made w/apple cider pulled pork, bacon cheddar toast w/salsa verde. Dam this was good! It wasn’t too rich nor heavy. Pork was very tender and eggs were perfectly cooked. My friend got the The Prohibition burger which he always gets cause its consistent. Burger was definitely a big protion so he gave me a bite and boy the meat blend was juicy, definitely not frozen, and just cooked at the right«medium». For drinks, I ordered the Blazin Cucumber and it was quite potent and wasn’t too sweet. Just the way I liked it so I had 3 :) My friend got his usual Drafted Old Fashioned and I took sip. I was pleasantly surprised that I did liked this drink as well. For the finale, we had couple of rounds of Irish Breakfast shots. Yes, we were done after these, full… satisfied! We have been here several times and kept coming back not just for the great food, but for the service as well. This place has become a staple for brunch in Ft Lauderdale so expect a long wait but its worth taking a group with you. Nice crowd, well crafted drinks and yummy food.

A lot of people complain about long wait times, but you kind of need to expect that if you come here during their busiest days/hours, i.e. brunch or $ 5 burger Mondays. Having said that, I’ve been here a couple times and I’ve always left stuffed and happy. Some of the things that I’ve gotten are the golden quinoa superfood salad, the goat cheese stuffed peppadews, and(my fav) the white beer braised mussels. The superfood salad has a few bitter elements, like kale and brussels sprouts, which are offset by the sweet elements, like mandarin oranges and cranberries. I’m still not sure whether or not I really like it, but it’s not a complete bust either. The peppadews are super cute — tiny little peppers with sprouts on top. The sweet pepper goes well with the creamy cheese, but I wish they gave you more than just four. Now the mussels are my absolute favorite. The broth it comes in is delicious, complete with chorizo, oranges, and other herbs. It also comes with a mini baguette which is crisp on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The chorizo is definitely salty, so I was only able to eat maybe 2⁄3 of them. In addition to all the food, they always have an extensive selection of beers, with both core and rotating selections, as well as mixed drinks. The beers I’ve tried have all been quite tasty(wish I wrote down the names…), while the mixed drink I got was just eh(I mainly got that one for the coconut it came in anyway). Overall, I think this is a great place for food and drinks with friendly service. Just be prepared to wait a little if you come at peak hours.

You can go to Tap 42 for every occasion. Date? Yep. Going away party? The more the merrier. Girls night? YES! Hungover Brunch? yessss! but you might have a little wait for a table. I came here most recently for a going away party. Our group was outside on the two long tables under the umbrellas and overflowed to the chairs surrounding that. If you haven’t been here before, I have to tell you that the food is great. I have had most of the items on the menu and I can’t think of one bad thing I ordered. Select burgers are $ 5 on Monday. On this particular night my friend ordered the Prohibition burger and I ordered the Falafel Veggie Burger so we could have some of each. The veggie comes with Roasted Red Pepper Tzatzaki. The burgers are phenomenal and for $ 5 you can’t beat it. There is a great section of beers on tap with maybe about 10 – 15 rotating taps and frequent tap takeovers. The also offer a special cocktails menu with some unique drinks. There is no way that you couldn’t find something you didn’t enjoy drinking. The servers know that they are doing. They know how to take care of a party or 2 to a party of 22 with ease. Some days are busier than others but they are always on their A game. I do miss my favorite bartender, Lily, who moved to the Boca location. Tap 42 and I have a great relationship. Oh, Complimentary valet too.
