Great place to watch people watching on Las Olas. They having a very friendly staff that is knowledgeable about the items on the menu. The Social Hour is 3−7pm which ofers half price on drinks and their bar bites. They also have specials on the weekend. We love to go there to unwind after work or ride our bikes there on the weekend. Highly recommend this Pub

Eggs Benedict were fine… nothing special and no effort to make them memorable. Why don’t the waitresses and hostesses smile here… my waitress had such a sour look on her face that she startled me!

We have been to this pub a few times and are always greeted with prompt, friendly service and good drinks. On Saturday night (maybe other too) we have had the pleasure of seeing the guy singing out front at night. He and his daughters are so talented and a joy to listen to.

The Golden Lyon Vintage Pub is on Las Olas and adjacent to the Riverside Hotel. It is a small pub with wood paneling, it has a few high tops and TV screens around the bar, and several tables outside. They offer a «Social Hour» beginning at 3pm-​7pm, which consists of Half-​off Cocktails, wines, beers and bar menu. The Golden Lyon also serves brunch on the weekends and have a live band for brunch and happy hour, and they offer drink specials during special games and events, the bartenders are friendly, they have an extensive wine menu and several craft beers on tap.

We were staying at the Riverside Hotel for the week, and ended up at this bar once. Had I known about their happy hour earlier, we totally would have gone another day. Pretty much all drinks are half off, and there is also a half priced appetizer menu. The tall, male bartender was nice. Friendly, and super open to me customizing my own cocktail for happy hour. It seems a little fancy, but I actually found the customers to be way more pretentious than the actual bar!
Unfortunately, we only spend time for happy hour so my review might not be super helpful. I would recommend getting there a little earlier for a seat at the bar, but the small bar was never at full capacity while we were there on a Friday afternoon. Happy hour prices were great, and the fish dip we tried was amazing. Best I had in Ft. Lauderdale, actually! (Not a local though, and didn’t get to try very many so take with a grain of salt.)

The Golden Lyon is basically the bar of the Riverside Hotel located just to the right of the hotel’s Los Olas entry way. As one might expect, it is of course touristy.
The drinks are pricey but good with a generous offering of handcrafted cocktails and though a bar, more of a cocktail bar than a typical generic bar.
The atmosphere of the Golden Lyon sort of exudes class and to some may seem a little pretentious but I didn’t find anything particularly pretentious about it though I’m sure the higher prices and stately woodwork appearance might seem that way to some of our pearl and flip flop attired locals.

We’ve been here many times and loved it. Not this time. We sat at a table for 20 minutes. The place was not busy, maybe 4 tables. The server walked past us 3 times, never asked us if we’d like something and never made eye contact. We left. We won’t go back.
