I loved the soondaeguk here; it hit the spot perfectly. The broth was tasty(even though I added the shrimp sauce — Im addicted to it), and lots of banchan. My BFF had the gamjatang and she could not believe how many bones were in that bowl — she couldn’t even finish it. It was like the never ending bowl of pork bones. She loved the broth, she loved how the meat was fall off the bone tender. We both raved about our meal afterward and even though we want to try every Korean restaurant in Fort Lee, we keep wanting to come back here.

Truly authentic Korean food. Really incredible dishes that remind me of home. Sundae guk is perfectly prepared with a generous amount of sundae. Haenae tang is very unique with its bold flavor, and makes you crave for some more after. Side dishes are all delectable and their kimchi is one of the best I’ve had in the NY/NJ area. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because of the slow service. The waiting staff were friendly enough, but we had to wait way too long for our water. I had to ask four times. This wasn’t during a peak hour, either, so I couldn’t understand as to why this happened. But still, the food was good, so I’ll most likely be returning.

This place has changed quite a bit since it opened. Came in recently and realized that they took their Sul Lung tang options away. What?! They replaced it with Dweji Guk Bap and Soondae Guk. Not sure why they did that… There seems to be an abundance of Soondae places around the area now… Service is sparse. Usually they have only one waitress for the entire dining room.

This is a really solid Korean restaurant… my wife and I usually stop in once or twice a month and the food is consistent and fresh. We love the mackerel and the chicken and potato soup! The bonchon is usually quite tasty also. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and efficient!

Absolutely delicious. We had the mackerel, seafood pancake and spicy pork. All were among the best Korean dishes I have ever had. The bancans were amazing too. You can BYOB.

Food here is legit, very good. The menu is very similar to Busan Gookbap, but offers significantly more options.

The people are very nice, not so crowded or noisy(unlike many korean restaurants in Manhattan Ktown). The amount of food was very generous and I loved their Bibimbap!

The food here is fantastic! Everything that I have tried on the menu has been solid. One thing I like about this place is that they don’t skimp on the protein in their stews relative to other korean restaurants in the area. The portion of beef or chicken in their stews always satisfies me. The prices are not bad either and the service is friendly. Highly recommend this place!

This place has amazing Don– Ca– Ni tang(Ox knee soup) and really generous portion. I came here last night with ex-coworkers, we both ordered the special combo which include one ox-bone soup(you can choose either sul-lung tang or Don Ca Ni Tang) and Grilled mackerel for $ 17.99. We almost had difficulties walking out of the door because we just ate too much and we were all too full. The ban-chan(free appetizers) are really good, the kim-chi is really really delicious and the cold tofu with chilli sauce is also really delicious. The ox-knee soup has really rich soup base and is full of ox knees that cooked to super tender, I really really like it! I am so happy this restaurant is so close to me and I just can’t wait to come back again!

My mom swears by the Ox tail soup from this place and their banchan — be sure to specifically ask for the spicy octopus banchan. My dad wishes he could eat this soup every day. They must cook the bones for a long time because the rich milky broth is legit. We always order it to go and the ahjoomah always kindly wraps up our items with banchan for them. Parking is a bit of a challenge but it’s truly worth it.

Yes!!! I found the best hot stone bibimbap!!! It’s absolutely delicious! The sauce isn’t too sweet or salty, the rice/veges aren’t too wet, and the rice on the bottom has just the right amount of crunchiness. The«myung tae» fish soup was really good too. They definitely don’t skimp out on the ingredients either. Super spicy – which is good if you’re hungover. What are you waiting for? Let’s go!

Love love their solumtang(the white broth soup w beef slices!). I think its better than most places in fort lee. Also the combo w the grilled fish was delicious. The rest of items such as grilled pigs feet meat and soyuk(steamed slices of beef) were pricy in comparison to other locations.

Had a huge bowl of beef tendon with soup and noodles. The soup was perfect for a cold night. I went for the beef tendon since I find just beef too boring. But there was an overwhelming amount of tendon — not a bad thing. I couldn’t finish it all. I finished the noodles and broth but left a few pieces of tendon. I think I’m going for the mixed bowl next time for some variety. The banchan was pretty good. The pickled cucumber and tofu ones were my favorite. For a dipping sauce, they had a vinegary wasabi soy sauce. I would have preferred just soy sauce, but decided not to ask for it. Note the place is open 24 hours.

The soft tofu to start is so delish that I had to ask for more. The soup and the beef are some of the best I have had in a while… For sure going back before I leave town!

After the management have changed the food has been excellent. The only problem is that sometimes the waitress leave the restaurant and no one is there to get the check. We became regulars here and we will continue to be loyal customers. They’re bibimbop and ox bone soups are very good. I’ve tried many of their other dishes too and they are also very good. Highly recommended!

I come here with my parents probably 2 – 3 times a month since management has changed. We always get the same thing, the bibimbab, kimchi ji gae, sul lung tang. Each time it’s been great! Fast service, food is always delicious. The only downside as mentioned by others is the presence of generally only one person on the floor to manage the orders and whatnot. So, when it does get crazy, it does get slightly difficult to get someone’s attention. Other than that, can’t complain about anything else. Definitely recommend!

Been recently addicted to their hearty jjigae and tang dishes. Their Dogani tang is a home run! Even better than my mom’s.

This is a new restaurant which specialize on dishes made of beef. It used to be called To Soc Chon, which was one of my favorites. The interior didn’t really change my other than the menu, but I am not sure if the management is the same. We ordered beef bone broth with cartilages(Dogani Tang) and regular bone broth with briskets(Sul lung Tang). Both of them were very good for our taste. They also serve very tasty kimchi with napa cabbage and one with horseradish, which is not to miss, either.

I stopped by for a quick bite to eat on a Tuesday night with a friend. I knew from the signage that they had reopened under new management recently. Judging by how busy they were on a Tuesday, my first impression was that the food was good. The hostess/cashier/waitress seemed busy ringing up a check when we entered and hardly made eye contact. This was fine as I’m used to Korean establishments and their busy-busy ambience. We sat and ordered fairly quickly but it was apparent that aforementioned hostess/cashier/waitress was really busy and working entirely on her own with only two busboys to help. The banchan came out quite quickly but unfortunately not the chopsticks to eat them with.(Neither did we have the usual box of spoons and chopsticks on the table.) We wanted to ask for eating utensils but had no idea who we could ask! Finally we just walked over to an empty table and got our own. The food then came out(pretty fast) and was delicious! I’ll give them that. We ordered the spicy beef stew(yook gae jang) and dol pan bibimbap. All three stars are for the food. The bulgogi was a tad sweet but overall delicious. The yook gae jang was one of the best I’ve had, and I would recommend both dishes if you want to take a chance with the service. We wanted a refill on the kimchi but once again could locate no one to supply it. We finally gave up hope and resigned ourselves to getting the check. I’d say we spent about 10 minutes waiting for the check because we had no opportunity to wave anyone over. They were just too busy! Also, we didn’t get the mini-yogurts they give as dessert. Perhaps my friend and I caught them on a bad night, but this was my experience. In short, great food but service could definitely use improvement.

This place is under new chef and new menu as of 9÷19÷2015 Their Sul Lung Tang(Creamy ox bone soup with meat) is thick and rich. Just so delicious. Fresh side dishes of Kimchi, herbs and soft sofu with sauce. The Mackerel is good for non soupy choice, it’s soft and flavored.
