Publix Super Markets

I’ll give this 2 stars simply because customer service did some damage control. We’re in line checking out, with another family member’s groceries separated from my mine on the conveyor. Dave, an older gentleman cashier was ringing-​up a relative I’m here with when he drops a large bottle of water on her Key lime pie, badly crushing a side. She comments on it; telling him he crushed her pie. His reply was «yes I did». And continues ringing up her groceries indifferent to his accident and her concerns. She asked if she could exchange it for an undamaged one. He became short with her and replied «no we’re done here and you’re going to customer service»
I told him we don’t want a crushed pie and just want to exchange it. He gets rude with me and says «it’s not YOUR pie». I explained that we were together despite a little rubber stick separating our food.
Customer service eventually helped us out. But Dave needs to be sent to the stock room or dock. Where he can be a total DICK to the skids and boxes. They don’t spend money there.

We like their Key Lime Pie. The Trolley stops right in front. The bagger took great care to load our groceries in our backpacks. (We bought 2 halves of the pie & it arrived in good shape back at our room.)

A very nice Supermarket, albeit somewhat crowded and cramped compared to other Publix Markets in the area but, after all, it is on an island where land is at a premium. Their bakery products and deli sandwiches, potato salad and cole slaw are very good.

I’m not sure what the other reviewers were talking about but I found the prices to be reasonable. The store was appealing and clean. My only complaint is that it was tough to move around as the aisles were cramped. The sushi was good for a quick meal!

Someone said best grocery store on the island. Really? Publix is VERY, VERY expensive compared to every other store. The island needs a good grocery store with reasonable prices. This publix is so crowded it is awful, especially when the spring breakers are down there destroying the island. There is no sense of organization if you’re waiting by the deli or the bakery there’s just people standing everywhere people putting their carts in the middle of the aisle displays in the middle of the aisle what a freakin mess. Great subs though if you can get one.

Clean, decent selection. A bit pricey. You pay for convenience.

The store was clean, the staff helpful, and they didn’t over charge for their groceries.

So great to have a store like this close to the beach. They had everything… and I mean everything. We had a condo, so this was an awesome place to load up the fridge! Passed several smaller grocery stores to get here & don’t blink an eye.

Publix is the best grocery store known to man, bottom line. They all have these old school scales in the front entry way so be sure to weigh yourself before you estimate the damage you can afford to induce on your waistline because the bakery here is full of homemade treats that will make you want to slap your mamma and go into a sugar induced coma.
The very best part about Publix is the subs. Many people aren’t aware of this simple pleasure but man are the subs here worthy of everyday consumption. Although the fellow sub creators of Publix won’t advertise it, they will customize your sub pretty much however you want it! If you dig on a certain type of cheese, they will tap into there plethora of boars head delicacies to satisfy your demanding palate, just ask! The chicken breast philly is ridiculous!
