Not a great experience. The host acted like he could care less if we ate there. None of the staff had a smile on their face & to top it off, my wife ended up with food poisoning from eating the shrimp & scallop scampi! We will not be going back :(

Asked for malt vinegar and when we opened it dozens of ants crawled out, the next bottle that was given to us had unidentified objects floating in it. During the meal construction was going on which was very loud and very obnoxious. It seems like a nice place but extremely unkempt and unsanitary.

Great food, views, drink selection, and service! We always hit this place up on our yearly trip and have had nothing bad to ever say, except for this year. If you ever get Anita as a server, ask to be seated elsewhere or leave. She had a TERRIBLE attitude, didn’t even attempt to change the tv, and was awfully slow on a non-busy lunch afternoon, though she had no issues with giving us the check and getting her tip. All in all, it’s a favorite place of ours; just avoid Anita.

What a waste of time. We were seated promptly, and ordered our drinks. 20 minutes later as we saw other tables seated and given their drinks we finally asked if we could at least have our coffee(never mind the Bloody Mary, orange juice and waters ordered). She finally showed up with coffees(no apologies or sh*ts given) and said«it was brewed fresh» …lies. We saw it sitting there and other people served! We paid our $ 10 obscene drink tab and went to Pete’s hideout for a much better time. Get to your breakfast spots before 10:30!

We have been coming to the area for 4 years now, we have always walked by the restaurant and bar but said next time we will stop. Well 4 years later we finally stopped in before our way back home. I must say I had a noodle and scallop dish. It was excellent. I have not tasted a scallop cooked so good. I can honestly say that was the best dinner we ate the whole trip. We always had our favorite places but for some reason they all were not great this trip and it was very disappointing for us. But YuCatan we will be back. Great job !!!

Food was good to mediocre. Server Named Mitch wasn’t very attentive. Forced into gratuity even though we had 5 adults and 3 kids(under age 9). Be Careful to ask about up charge for sides. When asked if we wanted guacamole with dishes, didn’t know it was a $ 3.95 side charge. Left feeling with less than satisfactory service.

Welp… Was seated immediately, then completely ignored. Waited patiently for about 10minutes and not one person acknowledged us or anything. Two different waiters walked by… nothing. Walked out.

Horrible hostess would not listen to my request not to sit in the interior, even if it meant waiting longer. Tried to seat us at table next to kitchen and restrooms. We left without apology and went to the Beached Whale for a fantastic meal and evening. Was tod by several locals this was the better choice.

The only reason this place gets 3 stars is the boom boom shrimp and mango mojitos. Unfortunately the service was extremely slow. Took a WHILE to get drinks from the bar and chips and guacamole and it was not even busy. Food was great, service subpar.

Great location, friendly personal, very good kitchen. I had the AhiTuna and a Grouper. Booth Meals was very good. Little bit noise maybe, but no problem for me

Had dinner here on December 7th. Ribeye steak was perfectly cooked to order, good sized and quality. Scampi was wonderful with lots of shrimp on it. Live music was right volume for dinner time. Staff was attentive. Prices were reasonable.

Service was horrible waited over 20 min for bottled beer didn’t stay for food. Went somewhere else to eat. Menu looked good. Didn’t want to continue with such bad service. Tried to give a second chance, atmosphere is great. Food looks amazing. But service was to bad to see.

After touring Fort Myers beach, we stopped in here to have lunch. We were seated promptly, but it seemed as if we were forgotten as after 15 minutes of waiting we had to get up and ask the hostess to send our server over. The server said there was a miscommunication. Things happen, so we shrugged it off. Once our server did show up, we had great service throughout our meal. The margaritas were tasty and the nacho plate was awesome. They have a really nice patio experience as well. We will definitely check this place out again when we’re back in Fort Myers.

I did not eat here. But stopped to have drinks at the bar. Great bartenders who wanted to be interactive with us and made us laugh! I do have to only do the 3 stars because the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. As the old saying goes… if their bathroom is dirty Sonia their kitchen. This is the electrical outlet just at the door inside the ladies room. Not hidden at all and most obvious but no one cares to clean this. Yuk. That was several weeks ago. Today stopped for a drink again. And still not cleaned. Yuk — again.

For the two times I came here(and other times before I discovered Unilocal) the service was moderate– not slow to complain about, it was the usual wait. And I’ve never had to wait for a table. Both times I came with my family and both times we ordered the«Coastal Calamari» as an appetizer. The calamari tasted great! So did the sauce! It also came with slices of banana peppers which I’ve never seen come with calamari but one bite and I was hooked. The first time I came I ordered the«Blackened Mahi Pesto Pasta» since I wanted something homey but also new. It came with a garlic roll which wasn’t impressive at all and a salad which tasted great. As for the meal itself, it was delicious! The pasta alone would’ve been great and the blackened Mahi alone would’ve been great as well. What I really liked about this plate is instead of putting chunks of Mahi, they have the whole fish fillet on top so you know they’re not cheating you with portion size. The second time I came I ordered the«Sunfish Salad» since I saw a few reviews recommending it, and I have to say it lives up to it’s reputation. Again, they serve the entire fish fillet on top of the salad. It came with an exceptionally tasty mango vinaigrette and grilled pineapple which really complemented the fish and salad.

Came here on a weekday during a holiday week. Food, service, and music were great. Live music was so much fun. We had fish & chips for $ 13, grouper sandwich for $ 18, and mahi mahi dish blackened. The person eating fish and chips said it was best they’ve had. Blackened seasoning was tasty. All mixed drinks including margaritas and pina coladas were $ 8 each. The Yucatan bread app was a bruschetta type bread. It was good although the bread was a bit soggy on bottom and portions were really small for the full size $ 8 app. It’s the only thing I wouldn’t order again. I would return here in a heartbeat. We had a great time.

Sunday night in Ft. Myers Beach is pretty dead even if it’s a three day weekend and a holiday weekend… sad. We went to Yucatan because they were open til 11pm. When we walked in, we thought it was a cool vibe with big metal fish hanging from the ceilings, pirate decorations, booths shaped like boats with fish poles attached to them, and a big gigantic tiki god to take pics next to. It was a hot pot of lots of quirky decorations. Ordering food was hard for me. Food I wanted on the menu was gone. For example, lobster ravioli and snow crab legs were not available. Of course they had king crab legs left, but I wasn’t gonna spend $ 40 just for me for it. I then ordered grilled mahi. After the waiter said he put the order in, I told him I changed my mind. He said I could not change my order. Don’t force me to keep that order because you are too lazy to change it. I ended up changing my order to a salad with fish and mango vinigrette and Yucatan bread which was like bruschetta with cheese and balsamic glaze. It would have been good if the bread was crunchier. My hubby ordered chicken tortellini. It was basic and he liked it. If the waiter didn’t have an attitude with me, and then try to be fake and nice after his attitude, I would have had a better experience. Plus if the food on the menu was available, it would have been better. Change your attitude waiter. You’re not paying my bill. Thank you.
