Great service. Great food. Had the ½ chicken. Purrrrfectly charred(medium). Yes, they asked. Yummo beer on tap(local), and homemade BBQ sauce. Ordered a side if spicy pickles that they usually put on burgers. They were great. I love a good pickle. Find the secret door that say«Beer Garden,» figure out how to open, and go in.

Love the atmosphere. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of homemade chips and mac and cheese. We also had the pulled pork cheesy fries. Everything was delicious except for the mac and cheese. I do not recommend the mac and cheese. Also, I feel like the place needs a «enter here» door sign because we could not figure out how to get inside the place.

Far overrated. Was anticipating quality BBQ& ended up with the purest definition of mediocre. Reviews made the Mac look amazing, yet another disappointment. Fries were decent, by far the best part.

Delicious food. Service isn’t always the greatest because they are so small, but the food is wonderful!(especially for your cheat days)

We made a run over to Fort Myers to get some odds and ends. Coming from Cape Coral, we always try to make it worth the 2 bucks over the bridge. I’d had this place bookmarked for some time now. From what I gather, there is two locations, along with a food truck. This place is located in what looks to be an old Checker’s/Rally’s building. They’ve got one drive thru and also an ordering window for walk up orders. We decided to sit in the«beer garden» they’ve got, which is a little tricky to find. It’s located behind a large, grey wall. We were greeted by a woman who became our server. There wasn’t too many people there at lunch(maybe because it was a weekday?). They had two servers who hustled through the whole service. If they weren’t asking if needed anything, they were cleaning stuff up. The only seating is in the beer garden, but they’ve got an overhang from the building for shade & a couple large fans. The menu has a lot of options but I didn’t think it was overwhelming. I got the ‘Messin with Texas’ sandwich which is grilled cheese with beef brisket, pulled pork, spicy pickles &BBQ sauce($ 7.25). It also came with two sides, I picked the bacon Mac & cheese & fries. If you get a soda/tea it comes out in a huge(32oz) styrofoam cup. The food came out pretty fast. BBQ doesn’t take that long because it’s been smoking forever. They do have a large smoker on the property which was smoking while we were there. The portion was great for the price. The fries were good, the Mac & cheese was more like soup. I like the cheese thicker, but that’s just my preference. The sandwich was great, however you need to act quickly with it because the bottom bread will become soggy from the meat. I wished they’d have some BBQ sauce on the table so you could apply more. The meat was well smoked & the brisket didn’t have a much of fat on it like some places do. This place will bring back out of Cape Coral more often.

I love this place! Super casual, a good selection of beers, or a milkshake made from scratch. But really it’s their burgers that they’re famous for, and rightly so. The double cheeseburger is my favorite. Always cooked and garnished to order. And many good choices of sides. I just don’t think you can go wrong here!

Do not judge a book by its cover! If you do you will probably never step foot inside BQ. It’s a pretty random looking place. Imagine a food tuck, drive thru, and a tin shed had a baby… that’s what BQ looks like. We were told about BQ and looked it up online. The great reviews made us come by, once we pulled up we didn’t see any cars, and were questioning whether to go in. The empty lot didn’t seem like a good sign either. We decided to go in despite our first impression and I am glad we did! BQ has a hidden beer garden on the side of the building that is very cool. They have a bunch of different tables and a bar where you can also sit and hang out. We sat ourselves and were greeted the moment we sat down. They don’t have a beer menu… weird. Our waitress was extremely helpful and suggested what she thought we might like, after she learned what kind of beer we drink. I’m not a huge fan of barbecue but after I learned that they smoke their meat for 24 hours on site, what the hell else was I going to order? I chose the smoked pork and brisket with a side of jalapeño corn bread and fries. The meat was extremely juicy but I found it a little under seasoned, fries were great, and the corn bread had a great spice to it, I love the added jalapeños. The rest of my party ordered burgers and each one said it was fantastic. This is a cool place to bring friends, have a few beers, and chill out. It has a great atmosphere and the music rocks!

This is one of those don’t judge a book by it’s cover places. Sure the outside looks like it a repainted rundown gas station with a drive through window but I am happy that we tried this place. The wife, her parents and myself wandered around for a minute wondering if there was an actual«inside», we eventually found the door to the beer garden, kind of felt like finding the door to the Secret Garden. There’s seating for a decent amount of people and one of the ladies at the bar helped us out. After glancing over the menu I decided on The Clucker(Grilled Cheese with smoked chicken and bacon) because grilled cheese! The meal came with two sides so I went with tater tots and mac and cheese. The food was awesome… well I lied. Most of the food was awesome, the only thing which was kind of disappointing was the mac and cheese. So what I really enjoyed at this place is that the smoked chicken really had the smoke taste in it. The few BBQ places I’ve tried the«smoked» chicken just tasted like regular chicken. So thanks BurgerQue, you have forever ruined it for me with your awesome chicken and I can no longer eat those so called«smoked» chicken plates at anywhere else… if i do tables will be flipped.

Stopped in recently with my fam. At first, thought it just might be a drive thru/pick up window kind of place but then someone there pointed me to the door to the beer garden.(look up to see the sign about above the large door that says Beer Garden, otherwise you may walk right by it because it doesn’t seem like an entrance). Beer Garden is a good name for it because it is basically like a courtyard with a bar, picnic tables and a smaller area with an overhang and nicer tables and chairs. For a large party like us, we had to grab a picnic table with an umbrella. Service was slow at first but eventually our waitress stepped up her game(the other server was better). But that gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted. The menu has something for everyone and there was no shortage of items that piqued my interest. But I was hungry and I didn’t want this meal to be a failure. BBQ joints can be very hit or miss, mostly misses for me. So I played it safe and went with The Clucker, which is a grilled cheese with sliced smoked chicken breast, bacon, BBQ sauce. Very good selection. I am not sure if the chicken can stand on its own as it is hard to detect the smokiness with all the other ingredients in the sandwich. Fortunately, the BBQ sauce was decent. Two sides I got were mac n cheese, which wasn’t hot and kinda bland and tater tots, which were nothing special. Tried a bit of the pulled pork and a bit of the brisket from other plates and those seemed OK. So next time I visit, I would feel a little more comfortable trying something other than chicken. But what I really want to try is one of their shakes… either the blueberry pancake or the maple bacon. That right there will get me back in the door. Another place I would give 3.5 stars but I am inclined to give 4 because I’m sure I will return. PS They have a couple other locations, including one in Gainesville if you’re up that way.

I don’t know why this place has received such high ratings and why Jean LeBoeuf said it was the«best bang for your buck». I was dismayed to find there was no indoor seating at the Burgerque on 41. I don’t know if this is something I missed on their website, but we went for lunch and it was not comfortable with fans blowing all over us. I can’t imagine what the place must be like in the summer. We had a very nice waitress who promptly gave us menus and took our drink orders. Unfortunately, they don’t have a menu for the craft beers they offer and the list she rattled off was so dizzying, we ended up just ordering water and iced tea. So, hey, whoever owns this place, print a list off on your computer. Gee whiz, how hard can that be? I ordered the Gravy Train burger, which is one burger with sausage gravy, an egg, cheese, and bacon, on toasted bread. I ordered the egg over easy. As my two sides I ordered the tots and the bacon macaroni and cheese. My husband ordered the Outlaw burger, which is two burgers, with mushrooms, onions, bacon, cheese, fries, barbeque sauce, on toasted bread. His two sides were fries and a side salad. The side salad was quite small and the lettuce had seen better days. My husband had asked for dressing on the side and decided not to use it because it looked like it had been out of the refrigerator for a while. The fries were crispy and tasty. His burger was very good and I can attest to that because I could not eat mine. I took one bite of mine and tears came to my eyes. I guess the sausage gravy was extra spicy. If I’d known it was so spicy(like, say, if the menu would tell you, we have spicy hot sausage gravy), then I would have opted for a different burger and my review would be different. Additional stars, too. The tots were good and I really liked the bacon macaroni and cheese. My husband ended up eating my burger and liked it. He didn’t think it was spicy, but then he can order five star Thai food. So, sadder but wiser, we took our lives into our hands and drove down US41, away from Burgerque, probably never to return.

We’ve arrived in Fort Myers with a hunger in our bellies. We find this burger place. It has a hidden biergarten. Win. It looks like it’s just a drive through but don’t heed your eyes! Park and walk around the building and the beer tap handle will lead you to a rather cozy little sit down area. I ordered the 4 rib meal and chose gravy chips and Mac and cheese as sides. The ribs were tender and juicy and charred perfectly. I asked for a medium char and it was ~98% meat 2% char. The gravy chips are delicious. The ‘sausage’ in the sausage gravy is chunks of bbq-ed pork. Mmmmm, mmmm! I also ordered the house Cabernet Sauvignon and it was not too sweet and not too dry or tart. It’s a good wine that doesn’t interfere with your barbecue experience. Service was pretty decent but there wasn’t any crowd. The only thing I didn’t like was the mac and cheese. The cheese used was not well melted and had an unpleasant grainy texture that turned me off the entire cup of Mac. I’d suggest getting another side. Otherwise a great stop for wonderful bbq!

Found this place on a top ten burger list in Ft. Myers and it certainly belongs on that list. Price was very affordable, service was great(although we were practically the only ones there), and the food was delicious. Great number of options on the menu and non-BBQ items for people like my wife. Will definitely be back here when we come back down to the area.

I’m from Phoenix, AZ. I came to Florida because of my job. First time here. We were looking for a place to eat, I was craving bbq. I really don’t use the Unilocal!app, but, yesterday, I decided to use it, to see what was around. I saw that this place had good reviews, we decided to come check it out. Good decision, even though it was raining, we where able to sit at the bar. They have a drive-tru window, and a patio. I really enjoyed their food. I ordered the pulled pork, brisket, macaroni and cheese, and fries basket. I would recommend this place any time. If I ever come back to Florida, you bet I’m coming back! Also, the staff was friendly!

What a hidden gem! We went here for our lunch break today & loved it. Location: what u see is NOT what u get. This super colorful and hip box and food truck look on the outside looks misplaced in the not-so-popular part of Cleveland/41! But you open that door & the quickly realize ur somewhere special. They have a great set up in this beer garden! Menu: great selection of BBQ-style items. A few salads. & what I came for, the burgers! Lots to choose from but the hot mama with the bacon and jalapeños caught my eyes. You get 2 regular sides with every burger. What?! So I go for the bacon Mac & cheese and baked beans. Go big or go home! Taste: deeeelicious! Everything was amazing including my friend’s tater tots. My only regret is not getting a double. The bun to burger ratio was a tad off. Next time. Service: nothing spectacular. My water was quickly gone and never refilled… It’s hot in Florida, keep it coming! Overall, I’ll definitely be back =)

Almost didnt walk in. The front of the place is a shack with a drive thru. There is a hidden beer garden in back. Service started very poorly but improved. The waitress said she would be right back to take my order and 10 minutes later came back and the place wasnt crowded. More people came in later. The bbq sauce was excellent. The brisket was very good but i have had better. It was drier then I prefer. The pulled pork was great and even better with sauce. They skimped on the sauce but was able to get more. The giant ribs were very good but didnt have a lot of meat. You can choose how charcoaled you like: light medium or burnt. I got medium which was perfect. Baked beans were heavily smoked and a little spicy. Fries were heavily salted and just Ok. They need butter for their cornbread. Shocked they had nothing to put on it. Side salad was in a cup. Definitely dont go here for fine dining. Food was decent. They serve craft beers on tap and bottles. They have lots of burgers on the menu too. Sweet tea was heavy on the sugar and I did half and half. They have a large carryout business. See my pictures.

The beer garden is the eat in portion which is like a mini roadhouse with metal décor and cool music, with a touch of cabin atmosphere with the waterfall canoe and firewood. The cowboy burger is to die for with the pulled pork, coleslaw and pickles. Get mac n cheese and tater tots as your sides and mix them together. Friendly staff and quite a few beers on tap including some local ale.

Let’s just say this became OUR favorite place to go to for anything BBQ! First off I drive by this place almost everyday, and my first impressions were«wtf is this run down looking place» but oddly enough I’ve been drawn to it. So I decided to Unilocal it and see what it was all about and it looked great with lots of great reviews so I bookmarked about a year and half ago. *We pulled up confused whether or not they were open but a group of people waltz on and we trickled in behind them seeing that it was EMPTY. As were about to walk away confused we saw a women who worked there and asked if they were open she said yes, take a seat anywhere. **We looked around quickly and I noticed a cute waterfall we sat at the bar and enjoyed happy hour and let me tell you it was CHEAP. Browsed through the menu which took forever because everything looked great and finally placed an order. ***When the food finally gets out(which I don’t know why I say«finally» it took like 10 – 15 min) it look delicious! I can’t express the bold golden brown crisp look of the tater tots, a bbq sauce that wants to tickle your taste buds, a warm sweet&spicy airy slice of cornbread that make you feel like your on cloud 9, perfectly juicy pulled pork that you want to just put down… Omg. BOOKMARKTHISPLACE! Make it your goal to go here!!! And get something simple to start with something you love or you know can’t be jacked up and go from there. I know I’ll find myself back here!!! ALLINALL; Food; fantastic! Service; excellent! Noise level; not bad they have music playing Kid friendly; yea Free wifi; don’t know Expensive; NO! Look at my receipt!!! Hard to find; No! Can’t miss it on 41! Indoor seating; don’t know Ate outside. Smoking; don’t know

Annual trip to Ft Myers and we were cravin’ some ‘que. Everywhere we looked seemed to yield 2 – 3 star establishments… we really wanted a 5 star BBQ from somewhere that we couldn’t eat at back home(e.g. Famous Daves) so we tried BurgerQue. This delightful little place is cozy and nondescript. It has a pick-up window and a dining area, but you would probably drive right by if you didn’t know it was there. My fiancé says there is a solid beer menu, so he was happy. We ordered the BBQ smothered/loaded fries, which were amazing. Their pulled pork and sauce were great and it had a nice mix of cheese and meat. We ordered the chicken and the half rack to split. Our sides were coleslaw, mac and cheese(totally blah), corn bread, and tater tots. The corn bread was really solid and had real pieces of corn, but the other sides were blah at best. The ribs were hands down the best that we have ever eaten. We are BBQ fans and love ribs. They were tender and juicy, but still had a nice perfect char on the outside. I don’t know what they were sauced with, but It was tangy and sweet. The chicken was decent, but not our favorite. They ask you how much char you want, which is nice, but it just wasn’t the se kind of unforgettable that the ribs were. We wish we could have just ordered a full rack of ribs with cornbread. Overall I think we spent $ 45 for two meals, an appetizer, and a few beers. I HIGHLY recommend going to BurgerQue. You won’t regret it and it hadn’t fallen victim to the trend of overpriced«beach food» like a lot of Ft. Myers.
