I love Pollo Tropica’s chicken.
I order their small chicken tropi chop 2 – 3 times per week. It’s nutritional and filling (in a good way).
It’s only $ 5.08 w/​o drink. Can’t beat that anywhere.

I’ve given the drive thru multiple tries and most of the time they get the order wrong! Carla is extremely rude and is bothered when you ask her to correct the order.

I had not been to a Pollo Tropical in a while, but I really enjoyed this visit. This location is new, so it’s clean & the staff seem very attuned to customers. I love black beans & rice, and add some Caribbean style chicken, and it’s a great meal. I got their ‘bowl’ with the yellow rice. I also tried their plantains, which were prepared perfectly. Only downside was that it seemed to take a long time to get my food. It was reasonably busy for lunch, I guess. But it didn’t seem so overly packed that it would take that long to prepare, and I didn’t order anything that would’ve taken longer to prepare. Could be that the staff is just still too inexperienced.

Very disappointing. None of the tables were bussed so no one could sit down. A small rice bowl took 25 minutes to come out. The dining room was trashed. I have visited other locations and been very pleased. I have just moved to the area and unfortunately will never be back to this location.

Not very good. Could use several improvements. Low quality. I was expecting something delicious and satisfying when I smelled what they were cooking. Chicken was a weird texture, salsa tasted old, and the plantains were very soggy.

I would have rated this Pollo five stars six months ago. Now I barely rate it one.
The restaurant has gone severely downhill quickly. The staff is rude and incompetent. I’ve had countless orders handed to me incorrect. The food portions are smaller. The taste is on the downward slope too.
The restaurant is dirty too.
Drive to the Pollo at Gulf Coast Towne Center. They’ve kept up their brand standards and you can guarantee a great experience/​meal.
Take your business from Six Mile Cypress and move it to Gulf Coast Towne Center.

I went to this location on six mile cypress when it first opened and loved it! Went a few times and never was disappointed. Then I did not go back for about five months– I decided to stop in last night June 21, 2015. What the heck happened? The place was dirty. The portion size of the chicken and sides dropped about 33%, and it was bland! The service was slow and incompetent– delivered my order to some one else– the people who received my order did not say a word– I had a number on my table– and if I am not mistaken digital numbers are the same in Spanish as they are in English. Not going back to this location until things improve. Must have gotten new manager in the last six months who does not understand the definitions of clean and efficient.

We were astounded by how good the food was in what looked like an ordinary fast food restaurant. You order your good at the counter and it is delivered to your table. It is gourmet quality, I aver. The chicken is moist and delicious and there is a large number of sauces of unlimited quantities to add to it. The sides are also outstanding. And the prices are as astoundingly low as the quality is astoundingly high. The rice and black beans were as good as I ever had. My other side, boiled yuca, was such a large quantity that it would have made a meal by itself.

tasty food but limiting how much sauce you get in drive thru to just a couple small containers is crazy since the inside sauce bar has a ladle that you could pour sauce all over yourself. dumb policy.

They catered my 50th birthday party and I heard nothing but people bragging about how delicious the food came out the macaroni and cheese was to die for the chicken was juicy and rice was delicious thank you pollo tropical 10/​04/​2014

Love their Guava BBQ Sauce and Cilantro sauce. My personal favorite is their Guava BBQ RIblets. A nice place for a grab and go lunch. Their service are pretty prompt and staffs are usually friendly.
