Just left… I wanted to go to Nathan’s but the line was out the door so we decided to try out skyline chili instead. It was embarrassing the tiny little hot dog on a smashed bun and a plate to small that you get cheese all over the table. Drink was flat and service was subpar. I could have walked over to Sam’s got jumbo hotdogs and buns for half the price and would have had better quality and probably would have filled me up.

I’d give it a 2.5 stars if possible. I grew up in the coney capital of the U.S., and those are pretty big shoes to fill. Not having fries as an option to accompany my coneys is just… weird. The hot dogs were shorties, that didn’t fill up the whole bun, which was normal sized. Filler was in the form of liquid chili and cheese. It was a different kind of coney, for sure. The taste was ok. Good enough to order another round(I was starvin’ like Marvin’!). The price was ok. Everything was just«ok». Service was attentive, but I was under the impression that my friends were regulars here and were known like Norm. If I were meeting someone for lunch and they really WANTED to come here, I’d go back, but not if I had my way about it. If you’re from the Cincinnati area and you love this sort of food, this may be your place for that taste of home. It’s just not for me.

I love skyline chili. But this restaurant is dirty and their service is not always good. Had to leave before even getting to order. I don’t like having to wipe my own table when I sit down. Three tables that came in after us got their orders in and the waitress never came to our table. I know they were busy, but that was just rude.

Skyline chili is the best chili in the world, imho. Admittedly it’s a love it or hate it kinda thing for people, but I am a fan. The worst thing that can happen to good coneys is soggy bread or not enough cheese, but here neither of those happened. The service was fine, but the coneys were the stars I was looking for. Cheesy deliciousness with my admitted order of extra cheese, just to make sure. The oyster crackers were perfect and I felt like I was back in Cincy. The décor was a little lacking(some of the other Fla. locations have a lot more Tristate memorabilia which I love). Happiness happened when I made the trip to Skyline Fort Myers, nestled in a strip mall and sharing a parking lot with a Sams, who knew?

I’m sitting here enjoying cheese coneys and a four way. The Doobie Brothers faintly on the radio. Doesn’t get any better! The waitress is friendly, I could sit here all day!

I’m from Cincinnati, I have been eating Skyline since high school and it’s a regional obsession. I truly believe that the spices would ooze out of skin after eating it 3 – 4 times a week. OK, back to business: this place hits it. Same taste, same oddball stuff going on in the restaurant, same charming(OK, that might be an overstatement, but the guy is SO nice I can’t really even tease him, plus he knows what my son orders only visiting once a year!) owners and same fulfilling dining experience. If you haven’t had it, start with a cheese coney and work your way up to something more substantial. 3 Way, 4 Way or 5 Way Bean: Hello Nurse! Last week I stopped in to get a fix and was having an appetizer: oyster crackers with hot sauce while waiting for the 4-Way. The owner rolled by and said, «Oh yeah, cracker bombs! Way to prime the pump and get those juices flowing»! So right! Observation: don’t bypass the black bean burrito especially if you are vegetarian. It’s so good and so healthy. Some folks might even get the Greek salad. And I have no idea what Danielle experienced here. It’s clean and fun and it’s chili parlor service, not white glove! It’s Skyline Time!

Super bummed to go here and receive such horrible service. My family is from Cinncy and I grew up eating Skyline. Came in on a Sunday and watched employees stand around while we didn’t receive service. In addition the staff was rude. The floor had food all over it and was disgusting. I would recommend this place at all.

Still great ! It may be an acquired taste, but for those of who have it, we can, t get enough. I knew people in Cincinnati who ate this chili 5 or 7 times a week !

Look, you either love the stuff or you hate it. Or you think it’s just ok. But seriously, you either think it’s amazing, or you don’t get it. It’s delicious Cincinnati-style chili, served on plain spaghetti or on little hotdogs, and it is just plain delicious. Service is fast, so you can get in and out fast.

If there was a rating lower than one star, this place would have received it. I’m a big fan of chili and hotdogs, and about any other type of food you put in front of me, but this place could not be any worse. The food is hardly edible. The food in Ohio must really suck. I have a hard time understanding how anyone would ever go back to this place a second time. I can’t say I’ve ever had chili that I thought was too terrible to eat. I can’t express how bad the chili is at Skyline. Maybe it’s worth trying just so you can experience how gross chili can actually be made.

Have been to this location many many times the service is usually great, food comes out fast and if you love cheese this is the place for you. I have noticed if you stop in during the week the food and service is much better than on the weekend. It’s never bad just a different experience. Love the cheese coneys I could eat a ton. I tried the 5 way for the first time this weekend it was also great. Bring you family or come alone it’s always a treat

Well, I guess I am a glutton for punishment or like a good deal. A coupon for chili dogs at 1.25 each. Steamed bun, hotdog, chopped onions, lots of cheese & the weird tasting Cincinnati so called chili from the Greeks. Again the place is clean people are great. The dog tasted outstanding it is was messy BUT wow The chili is truly an acquire taste. I hated it. Again if you have WEIRD palette try them out. Me never more deal or not.

Skyline Chili has been a part of Fort Myers for years! Though they may not be «original Florida» we welcome Ohio transplants! Firstly, this is not gourmet dining. So, if you’re not into the«Diners, Drive-ins and Dives» style of food you’ll probably be disappointed. The prices of this restaurant are hard to beat. Skyline’s take on a Coney is small. Around 4 – 5 inches; however that’s the fun! At $ 2.50 a dog multiple dogs with mounds of cheese are sure to please! Also, Make sure you try one of their steamed 3 way potatoes with chili and cheese! It’s a favorite menu item of mine The staff of this place is very friendly and prompt with their service. If you happen to pop in for a quick lunch you’ll soon learn why this place is usually has a lunch rush! All in all you’re not going to beat the taste, the homely environment and the price. If you’ve spent any amount of time in Fort Myers and haven’t tried this place at least once, it’s time!

Yum! My husband’s family is from Cincinnati and we come to skyline every time we visit them in ft Myers! The food is great! If you haven’t had this style chili before, it might take you by surprise, but in a good way! The owners are super friendly and will chat you up while you eat. The ambiance is simple and not at all fancy, but that’s not why you go to skyline. My only advice to the owners and staff would be to frequently check on the bathrooms. They get a little dirty and could use some attention. I do look forward to coming back the next time I am in Ft. Myers!

Food tasted just like the Skylines in Cincinnati. Unfortunately, just like Cincinnati, place is filthy! Looks like they vacuum the carpeting every leap year, and unoccupied tables can have dirty dishes on them for hours. But who the hell said this place was«four star» expensive must think White Castle is for rich snobs.

Staff is outstanding; very friendly. However, I was not pleased with the food. The hot dogs are tiny! The chili is watery and has an odd taste to it which I later found out is cinnamon. The soft drinks have an odd taste too, I don’t know why. Not for me.

I haven’t been to this location in a few years. It’s just not on my way. I have this to say about them. They are fantastic people. Many years ago… Probably almost 15 years ago, I ate at this restaurant and then went to pay. I didn’t have the cash I thought I had. The waitress spotted me a few bucks to cover my bill. I left, went to the ATM and came back and paid what I owed. These folks were super cool, and so nice to me. I will never forget that.
