If you own a Tesla, you can now charge your vehicle for free at the Ft Myers Tesla charging station. Tesla is building this electric charging network all over the U. S and there are now several in the state of Florida including this one. This particular station is located right across from the McDonald’s and right beside the Dick’s Sporting Goods. Tesla is disrupting the auto industry and they plan to bring a more affordable EV to the masses by 2016 – 2017.
How long does it take? You can receive a 70−80% charge in about 30 – 40 minutes while you grab a bite to eat and use the bathroom. The last 20% takes just as long because the charging process has to slow down at the end. Think about how you fill up a glass of water without spilling… you slow down at the end of a fill. This is exactly what happens here. A 50% charge will only take you 20 minutes.
