I’m a little late with my review, but here goes… It was a neat place. Clean and sharp looking inside without the management to back it up. One day, I had a great sandwich around lunchtime. Came back again two or three times in the evening and was never able to replicate the original experience. One evening the point-of-sale system was down and the guy gave me a free sandwich. Another time, the guy was drunk, but was still trying to make sandwiches. I just stopped going into downtown altogether.

Good pickles which isn’t saying much for a deli. Had a Pastrami on rye. The meat was tough and stringy like a bad corned beef sandwich.

I’m not sure how the employees here communicate orders but there’s a serious lack of consistency. We tried The Deli about 8 months ago and placed a take out order. The order was wrong with missing ingredients on both sandwiches. I called and they offered to rectify the problem with a replacement order and an item to compensate. Unfortunately one of the sandwiches that was the replacement was still incorrect. Just to clarify this order was straight from the menu with no substitutions except for our choice in bread. At this point they offered a full refund and a gift certificate. Today we decided to give them another shot and what do you know!!! Wrong again! Ordered 2 sandwiches both came with the wrong bread! How hard is it to make a sandwich? And on top of that they aren’t the greatest sandwiches… This is unfortunate because the employees are very nice and the establishment is very clean. They should stick to the pizza biz because they do make one hell of a pie at DHOP!

We stopped by the Deli on Saturday to grab some sandwiches to go. The young man working there was very nice and helpful as we tried to navigate the menu. I ended up with a traditional italian hoagie and my husband got the buffalo chicken wrap(which is actually buffalo chicken deli meat). Both items were really good and fresh. We were happy to see all of the alcoholic options they had for beer and wine. They also had a ton of chips and homemade side dishes to choose from. Would be a good spot to dine-in or have after going out drinking!

With an entire wall of options, you can eat there for a week straight and never have the same thing twice. Everything on this menu is delicious. A prime location in the heart of downtown Fort Myers. Get their early before lunch hour on the week days as it will quickly fill with hungry loyal professionals. I crave The Deli weekly for their artisan style sandwiches. You can tell that time, effort and thought has been put into each menu item. Try the Hendry Hill Panini, Cuban sandwich or turkey wrap and you will not be disappointed.

The best chef salad in town! You can choose the large for $ 8.50(my wife and I shared it and it was plenty) or the small for $ 5.50. The Deli is clean, the staff is very pleasant, and the food is the freshest and tastiest anywhere! This is the 4th time I’ve had this salad and it is consistently awesome! The ingredients are fresh and I like the way they prepare the meat and cheese into rolls and then slice them. Love this place!

We were going to go to a bagel place, but they were closed. After having a tasty draft in hand, we were already happy our plans had changed. We sat in this modern sandwich shop, admiring the aesthetics and talking about the cool black porcelain in the bathrooms while our sandwiches were being made from scratch(meaning slicing the meat and all!). And then. And then we got our sandwiches. Oh Wow! I got a panini and Kaitlyn got a cuban. Both were spectacular! I don’t live in Ft. Myers, but if I did I’d go to this place weekly!

Four stars for service. Friendly and quick greeting. 2 stars for the price and the food. Ordered the Downtown Italian. Was given a 6″ sub and charged $ 8.50. WOW. Expensive. Took it back to work only to find a lines of tough inedible fat running through the meat. Had to pull the strings of fat out of my mouth in order to chew the rest of the food. I won’t be back. Recommend Publix Supermarket down the road. You can get a foot long sub on your choice of bread with high quality Boars Head meats for about $ 6.75. Worth the few blocks extra you have to go.

Finally tried this for my love of sandwiches. 7PM on a Thursday, no one in the place but the friendly sandwich maker. I ordered one of the EyeTalian specialized subs. He asked if I wanted the 6 or 12 inch. I looked up at the menu board and saw the price of the 12 inch was $ 13. Sorry but for $ 13 I can buy 2 ½ $ 5 foot longs. I had the 6 inch, 1st thing I noticed was the roll was great and fresh and soft considering it was 7PM I found that to be a big plus. My buddy had a roast beef sub that he loved. Mine was very good, but $ 13 stop that bullshit as it maybe had 8oz of meat & cheese on it. Over all I liked it and will try it again when I am not so hungry.

Best place to grab lunch in downtown ft. myers. period. Everything in downtown ft myers is overpriced and poor quality. Unfortunately, I work downtown and lunch options are slim to none, so I am pretty much a regular at the deli.

I really enjoyed the fresh mozzarella on the Downtown Italian! This is a great lunch spot, and soon to be breakfast spot, in downtown Ft. Myers. The prices are fair and I see this place becoming my go to spot when I am in Fort Myers.

Sorry guys, but I have eaten many sandwiches In the past and these fall short in many ways. I had the Cuban, all I tasted was the mustard. My husband had The Hendry Hill. He said it was flavorless and tough. Neither of us finished our lunch.

The sandwiches here are unbelievable! Fresh and healthy food that is actually delicious. Even the beer selection is very impressive. The Deli brings the best of NYC to SWFL without the grime — the atmosphere and service are great.

The fact that it’s from the same guys who brought us Downtown House of Pizza pulled me in. Didn’t disappoint. Huge menu, friendly staff, great tasting food, and good value. A winning combination that is sure to knock out Wise Guys and any other deli in downtown.
