Being my first time here, I thought to order something I knew I loved. I ordered the lamb and beef gyro. The beef and lamb were cooked perfectly, and the pita bread as well. The Tzatziki sauce was excellent, and went perfectly. Not only was the food excellent, the atmosphere was very homey. Noise level was very quiet and encouraged conversation. Our hostess/waitress was also the co-owner, extreme nice woman named merideth.

My partner and I chose this place for Father’s day and we have to assume the neighborhood is the only reason this place isn’t more popular. The food was incredible, the service was better than we’ve ever had before and the prices were great! :)

Locally owned and not a chain. Great food and service at a reasonable price. Never had a bad meal, everything was always wonderful. Highly recommend it for breakfast or lunch. Plenty of parking in the back.

I love this place!!! Good food and it’s real cute inside. Family owned and they are very friendly. They make different desserts every day, and they have some super delicious ones that should be on the menu all the time.

Really good place! I’ve been living near here my entire life and never once batted an eye to come here but today I said why not? And I’m so glad service is exceptional and the food is amazing! Pretty much my new favorite restaurant I know the outside may make it look like not that representable but believe me I’ve lived in fort Myers all my life and this place is worth your money

One thing weve missed moving down here was the old mom and pops diners. We have found exactly that food was delicious!

The Golden Fork features the most delicious homemade pastries and well-cooked meals! BTW, my husband and I toasted to each other, before drinking our espressos. Our waitress told us she was deeply touched by our gesture.(We’ve recently celebrated our 50th anniversary.) Shortly thereafter, we were treated to the most amazing slice of Italian Cheesecake, baked by the co-owner, who personally came out came out to congratulate us! Wonderful food, delightful, attentive staff, great décor. What a winner. I highly recommend The Golden Fork, as a superb, unique dining experience.

My friend and I stopped in here on a Sunday morning after finding out our beloved breakfast spot was closed for the day(it was Easter Sunday). I browsed my Unilocal list and saw that The Golden Fork was both open and not too far away. We decided to be adventurous and try it out! Breakfast was delicious. I had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with the breakfast potatoes and everything was cooked to perfection. I ordered a scone to go and had it as a midday snack, it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Our waitress, Nancy, was patient and helpful and gave great recommendations. I will most definitely be back and I want to try lunch next!

Friendly service, fast delicious food. Only complaint was that they need an eggs benedict without the gravy lol.

I want to say this place can be a go-to for the price and food quantity alone. I think my wife and I ordered more than enough and paid maybe $ 15 total including tip. I ordered the corn beef hash with two eggs, two pieces of toast, and oatmeal. I think it was priced at like $ 6. Which is wild. My wife ordered the two egg meal with bacon I believe, toast, and maybe potatoes. Same deal, maybe $ 6. It was clean. The service was quick and friendly. I didn’t have any issues with this establishment. No, sir. =)

The Golden Fork Café, Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food, chit chat and random thoughts. The food was fabulous. The reuben had the rye bread with the seeds as it should be. Meat flavorful with the right amount of marble. Good sauerkraut, well melted cheese. Fries golden brown. The cole slaw you want on a Sunday afternoon picnic. Why 5 stars. The background music was soothing modern jazz good for the digestion. The tables were enough and arranged so it did not feel crowded. One of the owners/baker made it a point to visit all occupied tables. Service was great. Here are a few tips. Sunday is the busy day. Lots of parking in the rear. They love the local clientele first and the snowbirds a close second. One of the very few eateries that has 4 eggs omelets and Chicken and waffles. ;-) Truly a delight. So make it a point to visit and try the in house desserts.

Wow this place is awesome and totally inexpensive! Customer service was more than phenomenal! Food was on point! Need I say NOTSTINGY on the portions either! Also super easy to find this place!!! Okay we’re going to start with my apple juice! You know when you go to first watch and you order a «large» Apple juice and you get what looks like a child’s sized glass… This place makes you feel like your drinking out of a water pitcher! YES! Finally someone who gets it and it was only like $ 2!!! I ordered the Benedict with biscuits and gravy. SOOOGOOD! it lacked a little of that sausage flavor but it didn’t bother me that much considering I devoured the entire breakfast! Biscuits were on point! Not raw and not over cooked! Eggs were over medium that turned out perfect too! The consistency of the gravy wasn’t thick and sticky but it also wasn’t runny it was perfect! Got a side of buttered English muffins loaded em up with strawberry jam, SOGOOD! My total was around $ 11 My man ordered the golden fork rush! He got an order of their home fries and loaded it up in his sandwich! He was all about it! I of course didn’t try his sandwich but I did try the home fries and they were bomb! Unfortunately he didn’t finish all of it and of course left it at the restaurant in the to go box. But he hands down agreed that we would be coming here again and demanded that I do 5 stars!!(: regardless I was going to: D his total was somewhere between $ 10 – 12 with coffee and soda. In the end paying the price your getting a lot and it’s great too!!! Place inside is echoey. Restrooms are clean and pretty. Lots of parking. Free wifi.

Have to say, was disappointed today and I’m not sure we’ll be going back. First let me say the owners and family and staff are awesome! They are the kind of people you want to support. However, we have gone back several times since my initial review and things seem to have gone downhill a bit. Nothing extreme, but things that could/should be corrected. First, they still haven’t changed their horrible breakfast potatoes. They are bland, undercooked and flavorless. Have had them 7 – 8 times and they are not good. They use no seasoning in them! Today I also ordered 2 medium eggs and I was served 2 over easy eggs that were quite small. The toast was sparsely buttered and cold. The corned beef hash was typical canned stuff, and tho it was cooked crispy which is how I like it, it was also a little burned and had quite a few renegade green peppers pieces in it… yuck, I hate green peppers(probably fell into the hash by accident). My husband said his Western Omelette was okay, not great. Very small diced pieces of veggies and ham. Probably frozen. His grits were flavorless he said. Tasted instant. Coffee was good. I also has a sweet tooth today so I ordered a «fresh out of the oven» cinnamon roll. It tasted very strange. If you would have blindfolded me and told me to try it, I would not have been able to guess it was cinnamon roll. It was awful. And the fact that I was charged $ 3.50 is crazy. Even if it was good, it should have been $ 1.99 at the most. It was small. Sorry to say, I don’t think we’ll be back. I think this very well may be a family trying the restaurant business for the first time and they have some improvements to make. Cutting corners are noticed and they need to make improvements on basics. There are several places very near that we much prefer. We go out for breakfast every Sunday and would like to reconsider, but I don’t think we will. I loathe Denny’s, but I really think I’d go there before we go back to Golden Fork. 1 star for terrific staff and 1 star for food.

I stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. I looked over the menu and the corned beef hash with eggs won out over the steak and eggs. The food was delivered quickly and my meal was excellent. My server was Sheila and she provided excellent service. If you enter through the front entrance and see the fresh baked goodies in the display case, be sure to take a walk out the back entrance to see the nice wall decorations throughout the restaurant. They offer Military discount on Mondays, Seniors(55+) discount every Wednesday. Plenty of parking out back.

Family owned and always a friendly smile upon entering! Breakfast is always fantastic; BEST waffle in Ft Myers! Omelette, French toast, bacon… breakfast is our standard here although they serve amazing looking lunches as well. Worth the short drive up 41… price is right!
