This is the closest restaurant on the island to hutchinson Plaza and Dockside inn. It’s view is comparable to Chucks. It’s right on the river and is a great spot to grab lunch. We normally go here to just get drinks but the food is pretty good too. Location And view are the two biggest pluses of On The Edge.

Good drinks but the food service is too slow and the food arrived cold. Burger was good fish tacos were not. 2nd time we were disappointed.

They rank a 5 because we are so limited in places like this in the area. This basically is a beach bar/dockside bar with above average food and great service. It feels legitimate compared to the places that recycle the same lazy staff and below average uninspired good.

Beautiful, quaint little restaurant on the water. The food was awesome! We all had something different and it was cooked to perfection. If I had one complaint it was the food SERVICE? We ordered 2 appetizers, the hot one came in a timely fashion, the cold one, the fish dip came a considerable amount of time later. Our entrée was delayed as well. The table next to us who sat just before us was already done and gone before the entrees came. One of our guests ordered the shrimp and grits, it was delicious however the sauce was slopped over the sides of the dish. My entrée came after everyone else, I realized why later, I had ordered the red snapper with mashed sweet potatoes, they had actually put rice on the plate first, then scraped it off and put the potatoes. Again the atmosphere was great and the food was awesome, hopefully they were just having an off nite.

We stopped by here on our way back to Miami from camping. What a delight! Great views that allow for a relaxing feel, good live music and the food and service were to our satisfaction. The Cajun fries are definitely worth trying, also the tacos were delicious, specifically the pulled pork. You can change the fries out for asparagus or green beans for a healthier option. Overall great vibe and good food. I would recommend.

This is a great bar and restaurant — great happy hour and yummy food. I had the red snapper and it was delicious, my husband ordered a ribeye and the manager came over and told us that the steak he had ordered was not up to their standard and would he like a filet instead at the same price– said yes and the filet was nice and tasty– that was class act that she did that — thank you and we will be back. Loved eating on the beach or inside. This is our afternoon ride from Vero Beach where we are snowbirds from Michigan

Ordered the shrimp tacos with Cajun fries. Everything was super yummy but it was overpriced. Service was fast, got my food in around 20 minutes. Location is great; right on the beach.

It’s hard to beat the atmosphere at On the Edge. This open air restaurant overlooks the Fort Pierce Inlet. We sat«downstairs» on a sand beach. We ordered grouper with Citrus lemon sauce and grilled Mahi Mahi. On both entrees the fish was fresh, tasty and prepared perfectly. The mashed potatos, served with each entrée, we’re pasty, dry and served at room temp. The chowder appetizer arrived after the entrée was served. The restaurant’s attention to detail was wanting. The saving grace is that the happy hour prices are good — but I would stick with the sandwiches. Bud R.

Expensive drinks in plastic cups if you don’t do their happy hour. Ordered spaghetti n meatballs. Gross. Salty as hell and the sauce was real sweet not to my liking. Very nice view overlooking the water. I’ll pass won’t go back. Or maybe if I were to be out for a drink hit them up for their happy hour only. Maybe? Don’t know not sure.

Had to come back for some other food and glad we did. Grilled Grouper tacos. OMG. You can still taste the ocean in the same way Mezcal maintains its smokiness. It’s DELICIOUS. Shrimp tacos were excellent. We got those blackened, as well as some grilled chicken tacos that were delicious as well. Lobster mac and cheese. WOW. The freshest Lobster Mac & Cheese ever. Do you remember that scene in Bloodline where Danny spits out the grouper taco and says he’s not paying for it because it wasn’t fresh? Well, now I know what he means. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat another grouper taco again. Sat at the bar again. Great staff. Great people.

We stopped for lunch at 1pm on Sunday, they were busy and the service was a little on the slow side by the food was so worth it! My grilled Mahi tacos were perfectly cooked and came with well seasoned French fries, I’m so glad I took a photo before because I inhaled them. My husband got a blackened Grouper sandwich that he was very impressed with. Fantastic food with a nice view and even slow service can’t get me down. We spent the weekend in Hutchinson Island and this is the best meal we had, on the way out of town! We will be back.

Love this little quaint spot near Hutchinson Island. I’ve been coming here for a few years already. The view is perfect — right on the water. The food is also delicious — really fresh seafood. The gator bites are great — nice and tender. They come with a yummy dipping sauce — similar to a spicy mayo. My mom and I shared the crunchy catch sandwich — we chose grouper. It was really fresh. I definitely recommend it if you’re in the area. My only criticisms — they need better craft beers and the service is a little slow.

Cool beach bar with good food. I had the grilled Mahi sandwich and it was really good. The fries were good but a little too crispy(almost overdone). The atmosphere was good and would come back again

Get the fish dip/smak! We started with Kona lager on draft! Yummy in the warm weather. We sat on the deck at the corner table and enjoyed our view of the Indian River while dining. I had the Mahi Mahi fish tacos with mango salsa and avocado cream — I really enjoyed them! I had the Cajun fries as my side and those were GREAT. Boyfriend had red snapper lightly blackened fish sandwich with onions and tomatoes and its was seasoned perfectly! He enjoyed the coleslaw as well — sweet and crunchy… Our server was super sweet and very attentive. Happy hour they have $ 2draft beers! We will be back to try the salted caramel cheesecake!

We had a blast listening to the live music. And the setting is literally on the water edge. The place was busy but the food was still great and the bartender was very accommodating in taking our order while balancing his busy bar

Ok a solid three and a half so therefore 4 stars but only during happy hour. Ok they have decent beer on tap(yuengling and goose island) for $ 2 a draft. Yes! The fish was very good. Loved them all grilled. The snapper was the stand out, tasty and well seasoned. The grouper and mahi mahi were also prepared yummy. You can’t beat the great water view and tiki bar atmosphere. I will definitely come back the next time I visit Fort Pierce!

This review is for happy hour only! Adam and I stopped by this place after checking out the beach and I wanted to watch UNC play in the ACC tournament. Wanting to still be near the water and enjoy some drinks, we found this place and decided to stay. On The Edge has an awesome view with tables right on the sand overlooking the water. We didn’t sit there since I wanted to watch the game, but it’s nice that this was an option. We sat in the bar area and ordered drinks. I decided to get an order of pickle chips since I like to munch on something while I’m watching college basketball and they were pretty good, not the best I’ve had but definitely not the worst. Our server was nice and friendly and pretty attentive but not too much since we were really engaged in the game(which was nice of her!) I could definitely see this place as a popular happy hour spot, they have great happy hour specials that you should take advantage of on a nice day! With such a nice view and having the option to actually sit out on the sand overlooking the water, you can’t go wrong for happy hour here! Just a note: On The Edge only has outdoor seating! So you might not want to go on a rainy or gross day.

When my Father and I initially walked in to the place we thought we were in for a bad experience because my Dad asked about seating etc… and the waitress snapped at him… Maybe she was having a bad day. But, we stuck it out. Very nice location, right on the water. I had a bowl of the Conch Chowder and it was delicious. If you are a Conch Chowder connoisseur, than this meets the mark. I also had a yingling on tap, and that went down good with the conch chowder.

Leckeres Essen und guter Service und das bei tollem Ambiente am Meer. Wen es nach Fort pierce bzw Hutchison island verschlägt, sollte hier unbedingt einkehren.
