Frozen food festival, got some tasteless linguini with clams. Not impressed by staff either. Still not sure which kind of fish is the white fish that is on the menu. Under the average compared to other restaurants here in San Lucie County.

What a terrific meal we had at Capones tonight! My aunt has been coming down for the winters to Fort Pierce for almost 20 years and never heard of this restaurant. After I read reviews on Unilocal I suggested we go there for my uncle’s 85th birthday. We were not disappointed. The calamari was done perfectly. The lobster bisque soup was one of the best I have had(and I have tried many). There were six of us there. My aunt loved her escargot. For dinner we had the chicken and sausage carbonara, chicken marsala, chicken parm and veal parm, and honey mustard salmon. Everything was absolutely delicious. My uncle couldn’t stop saying how delicious the salmon was. The room is small but very intimate. The waitresses were great. I didn’t even notice her fill my water glass or take my finished dish from the table. That’s the way it should be. The owners stopped by our table to ask how everything was. The husband and wife team were very sweet and seemed genuinely interested in what we thought of their restaurant. That made us feel important. We are now trying to figure out if we can fit in another visit to the restaurant before we go back to New Jersey on Tuesday.

Small old Italian décor, yummy. Fish fresh, Italian dishes authentic. Great early bird specials

Last night we had a 7:45 reservation for 6 people. Based on previous reviews we were excited to try Capone’s. Unfortunately the experience was lacking due to the fact we had to wait 45 minutes and that was only because we squeezed into a 4 top(or else the wait would have been much longer). The reservation system is lacking as well as we were told that whoever answers the phone takes the reservation but sometimes doesn’t write it down(!). Service was spotty as we received 5 rolls for 6 people and asked several times for water and were told they ran out of glasses. As for the food, they ran out of the prime rib special and the other entrees we ordered were just okay. What remained in the dessert selections were limited. The manager did buy us a drink and tried to smooth things over which was appreciated. However suggest fine tuning the reservation system.

Let me start by saying wow! Got the stuffed Maine lobster which was to die for. The escargot was phenomenal. Anytime I am back in Fort Pierce I will definitely eat at capone’s. It is definitely one of my most favorite places to eat!

This truly is a «hideaway» as it is nestled in the rear of the plaza. There are plenty of signs to point the way — when you think your going the wrong way you’ll see it. We came in at 6 pm and it was already packed. Not having reservations we were lucky to get a table. There is only seating for about 80 people if you include outside and the bar. Very cute, intimate, cozy little restaurant. Simple décor with just the right amount of mood lighting for dinner. I highly recommend you make reservations. My gf ordered the raspberry vinaigrette for her salad — which our waitress informed us they make themselves — wow was it good! After a quick look at the menu, both of us were drawn to the Chef’s Special — Lobster Fra Diablo — mussels, calamari, shrimp, topped with ½ a Maine lobster over linguini. I ordered mine in a scampi sauce and my gf got the spicy marinara. Both were absolutely ahhhhmazing!!! Angela, our server, was excellent! It was her first weekend, but you would have thought she was a seasoned pro! We would definitely recommend Capone’s and we will be back next time we are in the area!

Treat yourself to pure pleasure. The shrimp scampi was fantastic. Fresh shrimp over perfectly cooked pasta in a sauce that enhanced the entire dish. Words can not describe their Bread Pudding. Heavenly delicious is just a beginning. My partner had the Mussels(mild is spicy enough) that he was still raving about the next morning. It was a truly great dinning experience.

This was our first visit to Capones Hide Away and it won’t be our last. From the nice young man that sat us down to our Waitress Christine who was Fantastic. Lobster Bisque was great and our Entrees were perfect. Can’t wait to go back.

Our actual waitress was awesome and the food was good but one of the other waitresses(who i think was the owners wife maybe) was so rude and had no compassion after I had told her my daughter was autistic and that she was having a meltdown. All she cared about was pleasing the other 2 tables that had no children with them. She wanted me to take my child out in the 100 degree weather right as our food was brought out by our actual waitress! I would never go back again though because it seems as if they cater to adults only.

Not great. Waited 35 minutes for menus and water. Advertised cobia and mussels but it was certainly not cobia, and mussels were smAll. Poor service

We saw that Friday night was lobster special night and that is the only reason we went. The menu showed lobster bisque and a lobster stew. After a mediocre dinner we learned they had whole lobsters available. Were we supposed to know by osmosis?

Four of us arrived at 5:15PM per our reservation and prior to a show time of 7:00 at the nearby Sunrise Theater. The food was very good. The service was horrible. When we arrived there were very few other patrons in the restaurant. Nevertheless, it took the waitress ½ hour to bring our drink orders. She only came after repeated requests that she bring them. More than an hour passed before our orders were brought and even longer before our second round of drink orders were brought(glasses of wine). Needless to say, we arrived at the theater 20 minutes after the show was scheduled to start.

I will never eat at capones again! My husband and I were visiting the area and decided to eat dinner here based on reviews and their dinner specials. We got the filet special for two… at dinner we joked about how they weren’t the best filets we’ve had and ended with food poisoning. We were down for 48 hours and it totally ruined our vacation!

Been coming to the area for years and missed this place until we found the reviews on Unilocal.Had seen their sign in a little strip mall and assumed it was just a «Hideaway» bar. Let me say that my wife and I loved the place! So much so that we rearranged our vacation to allow us to go back a second night before they closed for a week. Top quality, variety, excellent service, clean, huge portions … even Early Bird and wine specials. So much food that we were stuffed after we split an appetizer and salad and had enough food left over for two more meals. Go! And say«Hi» to Elatia for us!

Capone’s has really — really! — good food at a very attractive price. The new owner, Francesco(or Frank), discovered a gem hidden in Fort Pierce and has actually improved it. Try the mussels fra diavilo or any snapper dish. Both are tops. Also, as someone from upper Michigan who has twenty years’ «experience» with whitefish, I — and other Michiganders with us at Capone’s — can attest to the excellence of whitefish prepared in any fashion by Francesco. We’re not wine«enthusiasts» but we know what tastes good to us. Capone’s offers a more-than-adequate selection of reds and whites and we’ve never had a glass(or bottle) we didn’t like. And never a foggy head the next morning … Appetizers and desserts(IF you have room) are terrific. You can almost double your fun by sampling the early bird features from 4−6pm. Check Capone’s out on the web. Read Francesco’s background, training and experience and you’ll understand how he became so good at what he does. Don’t miss Capone’s. It’s worth a trip even if you start 50 miles away! Use Google Maps to get you there and keep your eyes peeled for one of Capone’s signs as you get(very) close.

My first time there and I have to say that I have never had a better fish dish in my life! The Macadamia Crusted Snapper was fabulous! If that is any indication of the other food they serve them I’m there many times in the future! I took one star away from perfect due to the noise level. The restaurant was extremely crowded and loud. At one point I couldn’t hear the person next to me speaking! But the food is heaven!
