Had some really great bbq today for lunch. My favorite was the pulled pork sandwich with the regular bbq sauce and a side of potato salad. My TL had the brisket with a side of smoked Mac b cheese. He tried the mango habanero sauce.
The sauces alone were VERY good. Tangy smooth and very well balanced ingredients. You can tell they take a lot of pride in the sauces.
The pulled pork was succulent. I know that is high brow for pork but that’s the only way to describe it. The grilled bun was crispy and buttery and added the perfect texture.
We opted for a little bit of lightly sautéed onion on both sandwiches and it was great.
The potato salad was very unique. I have never had any like it and I have to say it was the best I’ve ever had. It had little chunks of bacon and I don’t know what else but it was the bomb!!!
