Yard Birds

I’ve always loved Yardbirds when in the area.
Their chicken tenders are so delicious! With a thin, crispy batter that’s covered in a flavor pool of spices. Enjoying their meals with a slice of texas toast, perfectly crisp & seasoned fries, and a small side of coleslaw. Finishing off with a fresh southern sweetened tea.
Definitely not one to pass up!

Just great. The chicken, the toast, the Mac and cheese, the fries (and the seasoning. Yum), the tea, the spicy ranch, the honey mustard. Yum yum yum. Sometimes their tenders seem a little overdone/​burnt, but still good. I’ve lived and out of the emerald coast and every time I’m in it I have to get me some yardbirds. So good!

I was looking forward to try the chicken tenders bc if all the Great reviews. I ordered a 10 piece chicken tenders for $ 8.69. I found them on the small side. They were white meat of good quality. And they came out hot.
But I thought they totally lacked flavor. They were completely tasteless.
ZAXBY’S has plumper, more flavorful chicken tenders for the same price.

I have been to yardbirds on several occasions, and each time I had the same experience. Service and care have been mediocre but the food was pretty good with generous servings. What makes it for me is the yardbird sauce and the French fries that have an awesome seasoning. Honestly the chicken is okay but ultimately I always wish I had zaxbys chicken tenders with yardbird sauce and fries. This past experience took away one of the pros. Serving size of the fries was cut in half. Bummer.

Love this place. Only ever have the chicken tender dinner, but it is so good. If you’re looking for fancy, this ain’t your place, if you’re looking for good food, this is the place. Staff is always nice.

went here because we stayed at a nearby hotel and were looking for a quick dinner. chicken sounded good. went to drive thru. DH had wings dinner, I had tender dinner. food tasted good and was hot and fresh. didn’t like the Cole slaw and they gave me the wrong sauces for the tenders. the wait was also quite long, but understandable. prices are also reasonable. I will visit again.

No complaints. Ribs on Thursday. Chicken tender box every other day of the week. I’m thinking its cayenne pepper seasoning mixed with the ranch and on the French Fries, either way it’s all good. Anybody in town needs to hit the drive-​thru and pick up a couple few boxes!

I loveee yardbirds granted ive inly tried the chicken tender dinner but its so tasty. I absolutely love their honey mustard dressing and baked beans and also the sweet tea is the best in town! It does always take a long time but to me its always worth it ive never been disappointed and i go at least three times a month. Highly recommended

The pull pork sandwich is amazing! Every time I go to this place the food is ALWAYS FRESH! The fish is amazing and the fries and chiclet tenders!

I’m leaving another review because the issues I have had in the past were fixed and the food is back to being fantastic!

I had the chicken finger dinner. It’s a hell of a meal (and comes with a drink) for only 7 bucks.
They use a creole style paprika-​based seasoning that gives the fingers/​fries a really unique flavor compared to competitors. The food was also lightly fried an didn’t give me that lead-​stomach feeling I usually get from this type of meal. I was a Zaxby’s employee for nearly 9 years so I know my chicken fingers, and these are as good as chicken fingers get.
I swapped out the slaw for potato salad and I’m glad I did. Very creamy and tasty. Not at all bland like so many potato salads are.
My only dislike were the sauces were a bit runny and somewhat bland (house and HM) but honestly this food is good enough to eat without any dipping sauces.
Will definitely repeat. I think I will try the shrimp next time.

I love this place! Disclaimer — I have only ever had the chicken tenders. I don’t know what the seasoning is that they use, but it’s delicious! Honey mustard sauce, Mac & cheese, baked beans, Texas toast… um yum! What’s not to like???

My favorite place to get very good fast food.
I love the shrimp dinner and the pull pork sandwich with the best fries and please try the cole slaw they have bits of jalapeño that gives it a kick.

I fucking love yard birds. The staff is friendly and the food is hot, delicious and made to order. Great selection of sauces to go with your meal. The menu is limited but that’s exactly what I like about it. This place knows what they do and they do it well. I always go for the chicken tender dinner with honey mustard and chipotle ranch but the wings, bbq pork and everything else I’ve tried is great. Love this place.

Very tasty! French fries fried to perfection with seasoning salt to finish. We got the chicken wings and shrimp and we loved it. Not much bad to say. I wasn’t super thrilled about the warm coleslaw. It wasn’t supposed to be warm I don’t believe. It probably was warm from being in the box with the other food. Tea and lemonade is also delish!

Four and a half stars. I love this little place. My fav is the chicken tender or shrimp dinner with mac & cheese, and potato salad which is seriously delicious. I could swear they put crack in it. Always busy, it’s just a quick drive thru or walk up. Very friendly staff.

All I need to say about yardbirds is WOW.
This tiny little place did not fall on my list of places I wanted to eat at whenever my husband would ask if we could stop there for the night. He tried it with guys from work and has been obsessed ever since.
I’m SO glad he made me try it because it is AMAZING.
We get the chicken tender dinner every time– I can’t seem to get past it and I don’t this I ever want to. It’s that good. I get red pepper jam and it comes with sweet tea or lemonade. Best sweet tea ever.
We are moving across the country in a few months and my heart breaks thinking about how I wont have a yardbirds to stuff my face with.

I got recommended this place after my wife kept ranting and raving how awesome it is. Once again, the Mrs. was right.
For what you’re paying, it’s worth it. The tea was absolutely perfect, chicken cooked well, and the sauces (I tried the chipotle ranch and BBQ) were great. It’s little places like this that punch Popeyes in the face.

In town for just a minute decided to stop at yard birds. The stop was well worth it. The tenders are juicy and sauces are great. Let’s not forget the cole slaw it has a bit of a kick quite delicious. And if you like your tea sweet then this is the tea for you. We are so happy we stopped here.
