We came here for the beignets as they are a family favorite. They were pretty good — nothing comparable to New Orleans but still tasty and one order is pretty good size and comes with strawberries. Service was good. FYI the café is INside the Ramada hotel as that confused us a little getting there.

Seafood gumbo was delicious in the bread bowl as it had a very nice kick to it. Ordered the Florida Philly in beef and it was very good. A little messy but good!

Had a Great time at Garden Café. The food was Delicious waitress was so lovely and nice to us. The only Restaurant that was Open after 10pm on Good Friday. Everything was really nice other Restaurants closed at 10pm I don’t know if it was because of Good Friday. We’re visiting from Houston and we hate the fact that every restaurant was closed after 9:30pm Restaurant Inside Ramada Plaza Beach Resort Hotel

My Husband, Son(4), and I went to eat here last night. We tried another place in the area, but the food was bland and pricey. Here, the food was excellent and much more affordable! Everyone was friendly and our food came out quickly. We will probably go here again tonight, since the food is good and fast. Everywhere else it is packed with people and the food isn’t very good. This area is in desperate need of a decent resturant, the Garden Café inside the Ramada is the best one around!

The only reason I gave 3 stars was because the waitstaff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the location was great, with it being located right on the hotel grounds. However the food wasn’t very good at all. They have a very pricey breakfast buffet and some of it was quite good, but I just warn you to stay away from the hash. It looked and tasted like dog food. I had to discretely spit it out into my napkin lol. The bacon was good and crisp, the hashbrowns were good, and so was the biscuits and gravy. However the eggs were no doubt powdered and had a nasty taste. We ate breakfast there twice and I never saw any pancakes or waffles. The cheese grits were good. They did have french toast stix and syrup. They did have a large selection of cereals and mini muffins to choose from, but the fruit salad had a very weird taste to it. All the different fruit in it just had the same taste to it. I couldn’t tell a pineapple from a cantelope, it all tasted the same and the taste wasn’t pleasant. We only ate dinner there once, and if you go there and order from the lunch/dinner menu I STRONGLYURGE you… no matter how tempted you are from the mouth watering description in the menu, do NOT order the seafood gumbo!!! I saw it on the menu and thought oh yes I’d love to try some real seafood gumbo while I’m here in Florida! It was described as being delicious in a dark roux and served in a bread bowl. Well that night they happened to be out of bread bowls, but they served it with a toasted hoagie roll instead. That wasn’t the problem though. The problem was the gumbo was the most God awful nastiest gunk I’ve ever tasted in my life. I was SO disappointed. The gumbo I make at home is FAR supperior if I do say so myself. It just tasted like burning hot thick, strange tasting gunk that one might suspect was scraped off the bottom of a garbage barge. Seriously. The fact that is was as expensive as it was and was as bad as it was really ticked me off. I told the server I was not happy. She wasn’t rude about it or anything, but I’ll just say… I didn’t get to exchange it and I didn’t get it taken off my ticket, and I was quite irritated that I left there hungry. Two bites is all I took of that mess and hungry or not… I just couldn’t do it. The café was really tropical looking, very clean, the chairs were wicker with very comfy cushions, and the sky lights made the room very bright and cheery in the morning. I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada, but when we go back I’m just going to be a little more cautious of what I order if we return to the café.

We stayed at the Ramada, and had breakfast here. I had a huge stack of beignets that were warm, sweet, fresh and plentiful. They h have a lot of regular breakfast foods as well, but I’d skip them in favor of the beignets. You can have eggs anywhere! The waitstaff was very friendly, and the restaurant looks out on a beautiful garden on the Ramada property. It’s very clean, and child-friendly. They have a lot of room for groups, and plenty of romantic tables near the window. The prices are reasonable.

While we stayed in Ft Walton we chose to eat here out of mere need! LOL… dragging 2 lil ones across town for breakfast, lunch and dinner was not very appealing… LOL We were greeted warmly… even with 2 children screaming and running off. Whenever staff members play with our children, we give them an extra star… for sure! LOL Our hostess seated us then returned with crayons and pages to color for the kids… along with a cracker basket. This café is within the Ramada and therefore appears to be semi-formal…we were a bit apprehensive with the children, but our worries were all in vain. The décor is a bit wild… parrots and paintings… and lace with silk flowers… kinda like tropical meets grandma. LOL The lunch and dinner fare was average. A bit pricey for the portions and quality. Now the breakfast buffet was well priced and very hearty. I am certain they had every kind of breakfast meat available to man. LOL Pancakes galore… muffins. cereal…donuts.you name it. Each of the staff members were warm and friendly. We will return again… I hope they hear the warning! LOL The lil heathens are coming back. LOL
