If you think air-conditioning is a MUST to sleep in Florida during the summer months, Seaspray condominiums is not for you!!! I have been to Sea Spray condominiums eight times and got along OK despite the underpowered air-conditioners in these units that were built in the 60s. However, the last stay didn’t work out well because of management. The lady at the front desk was snippy with us. When we showed up at 8AM to report that our air conditioner had gone out the night before, she told us we should have told the night guard or dialed the emergency number on the front of the building. We had no idea about the number because they don’t have it on the messageg for when they’re out of the office. It is standard policy for them to comp one night for your night without air-conditioning. However they did not tell us this forthrightly and only made it known to us once we went and spoke to the rental manager in person, probably because we look younger than 35 and young people don’t complain as often when things aren’t working. When our air-conditioner went out we discovered that the kitchen fan spun at a snails pace and was not working. The dishwasher did not work and the safety light to illuminate the dark stairs headed up to our balcony at night flashed on and on like a runway landing strip light.(This was difficult for me because I have had eye surgery in both eyes and am still light-sensitive.) While the air conditioner and the fan were fixed eventually, The blinding flashing light at the top of the stairs remained flashing throughout the duration of our stay. Beyond all of this, the first day we were there, on a Monday, July 20, 2015, I slipped and my friends daughter slipped and fell at the outside showers coming in from the beach. They had no mats for traction on the wood beneath the shower head and it was slick like you want a slip and slide to be but never is. Another woman fell and gashed her head, and the next day they had a matt for the outside showers. The rental manager told us to fill out an incident report in order for the general manager to offer us anything beyond the one night we spent without air-conditioning. After we turned these in upon check out the general manager called me the next morning and told us we were not welcome back because we left seven bags of trash in the room.(we’re these zip-lock bags?) It’s pretty low that Seaspray management would lie to run off people who got hurt and called them out on unsafe conditions. The dishwasher never worked.

I have been to fort walton beach around 10 times. I have stayed in multiple condo’s and unfortunately, seaspray was one of the less desirable. The main positive here is the price. However, your rooms will not have the most up to date interior. This was not an issue for me as long as they had HDTV’s, which they did. While the interior is on my mind, we had a massive cockroach in our sink one morning. The place was overall clean. The other positive was the condo was pretty quiet. I did not hear much in our room. The pool area is further away from where we stayed, and never heard a sound. The pool area was nice, but unfortunately they do not have a hot tub. The upstairs in our condo was hot the entire time. We had the AC in the 60’s and the upstairs was slightly cooler than the outside 90+ degree temperature. Something that I experienced at this condo that I never have before was prejudice. The age requirement to rent here is 25. I am young, but older than 25, and my girlfriend and I were treated as if we were 19, in college, and ready to party the entire week. In fact, the heavier of the two women who checked us in told us outright, «they don’t want anyone young renting their condo’s»… I don’t know who to point the finger at with this experience; management, the petulant woman at the desk, but it is inexcusable.

I don’t even know why I’m posting this… this is truely a hidden gem I almost don’t want to give it away lol. Condos and grounds are very well maintained. Just steps from the beach. It is the last place on the strip so it is very spacious and quite. It is a family atmosphere and they only let mature adults(over 25) and families rent. So there are no party people!!! Just relaxation and fun. Condos are fully furnished even with dishes!!! And hte best part is the price!!! It is one of the most affordable places in the area. I found it by chance looking at google maps street view. I’m glad I took a chance on this place and I will be staying again and recommend it to everyone I know!!! If your looking for a relaxing place right on the beach don’t think twice about this place you will not be disappointed.

I LOVEDTHISPLACE!!! Property was very well maintained. All condos within easy walking distance to the beach. Pool was wonderful. Felt more safe with the security gait as well. Not a single complaint. Just a word of advise, dont lock the deadbolt, they dont have the keys for them. There were warning signs, but in the midst of enjoying a wonderful stay i didn’t notice them. They were very helpful and pleasant to help us get back in.

My parents took me here just about every year when I was a kid and now that I am a parent, I plan to do exactly the same. You drive right up to your front door and are literally on the beach within one minute. The St. Augustine grass in the courtyard will have you walking barefoot for your whole stay! Check out their website for some great shots of the property and the rooms. I would advise everyone I know to choose this condo over anything else they find. If I could change anything about Seaspray, I would add a hot tub.
