Kakes’n Konfections

My wife and I got married in Destin and we were very please with the team at Kakes’n Konfections. We were referred to the company by Crystal Beach Weddings out of Destin, FL. My wife and I planned a wedding on Saturday and left from Memphis to arrive in Destin on Thursday. We stopped in Fort Walton to have a meeting with the staff to make sure everything was on schedule and it was! She assured us that she would be at Henderson Beach State Park on time and that the cakes were ready to go! I am a WWE fan so obviously my cake was a WWE championship belt which I held up in all of its glory! Our guests loved the cake, presentation, and the design!
The best thing was that Kakes’N’ Konfections is very affordable! We were able to get both cakes to feed around 200 people for a little over $ 400! Great deal and even better service! If you are from out of town like we were and need assurance that they can get the job done, then rest assured that you are in great hands! Very thankful to have worked with them!
In May we will get to eat the top layer of our cake! Can’t wait!

My husband and I got married on Miramar Beach 3 weeks and Kristina made us a cupcake wedding cake. We had 3 flavors: chocolate, red velvet and carrot cake. Each were to die for and I don’t really like carrot cake.
I sent Kristina a picture of the design we wanted and she matched it perfectly. She came and set everything up for us. She gave us very detailed instructions on how to save our top layer. I can’t wait until next year when we can eat it.
Prices were very reasonable and the product was so yummy.

I’m so happy I used this company for my wedding cake! My wedding was only 3 days ago and I’m on my honeymoon right now but I just had to come leave a review right away! My cake was DELICIOUS and SO CUTE! I’ve been snacking on it for breakfast! Lol. I got a red velvet with cream cheese frosting! Yummm yum! Everyone loved it and I let Kristina pick the design and just gave her a little guide line and she did so good and she was so nice to work with! It was an excellent price too! Thank you so much Kristina!!!

So, my girlfriend wanted to surprise me with a cake for my birthday. I’m a huge batman fanatic so she contacted this business and sent them a photo of another cake someone else had done to essentially be copied. When it was picked up my girlfriend noticed that the artwork on the cake was questionable, but wondered if she was being too picky. When she shows me we both agreed it was subpar. The owner made the excuse that the photo that was given was a larger cake and the designs were cut out by hand and reducing it to smaller cake was quite difficult. We debated about sending it back, but figured if the cake tasted good we would let it go. So a few hours later when we actually tried it, if literally was the worst cake either of us had ever eaten. It was dry and crumbly, not moist at all and had very little flavor. And it was a simple vanilla cake. It was so bad neither of us even finished our piece. The next morning I contacted the owner and told her about our experience. While she wasn’t rude or anything, she acted completely indifferent. She refused to refund any money. She did say she would do something in the future at a discount. But why would we go back there after such a bad experience? Basically her policy is, once it leaves the store she won’t issue a refund. So basically, even if a cake is the worst thing you’ve ever eaten, she doesn’t care because she already has your money. Talk about caring about your customers, eh?! My girlfriend spent $ 45 to surprise me with a cake and we couldn’t even eat it. I was nice on the phone but I told her that since she wasnt going to make it right, that I would be posting a negative review on Unilocal.She didn’t care. So if you’re looking for good custom designed cakes that taste good and good customer service, I would think twice, (or 6 or 7 times) before going here.

We ordered a cake and mini cupcakes for a child’s Super Mario themed birthday party. They were beautiful, tasty, and moist! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decorator was very artistic and did a great job!!! We will be getting our cakes here in the future!
