Great little place with American décor and cute checkered tiles. Always a great atmosphere, with friendly waitresses. I am allergic to gluten so I couldn’t have the Chicago dog on a bun but the cook Walker, made it into a lettuce wrap for me. It tasted so great I can only imagine what it tastes like on the regular hot dog bun. Their coleslaw is also the bomb

My Husband and I went here on Monday Nov.2nd.I told myself we would never go back a few months ago and just drive all the way to New Haven(we certainly will go back to New Haven). However this visit on Lima Road was very very good. Yeah I know its just sliders and dogs, BUT the service was great as opposed to the last 2 visits… The food, was WAAAY better. The cook(Steve I believe) came out tom make sure everything was cooked well. It was onions sauted not over cooked(or burned like the last time) I mean burned crispy charcoal black! and the cook had the nerve to put them on my food, and was served. told waitress(oh well sorry and walked away!!) The visit was very pleasant. hot perfectly cooked and food and great service… And thanks for telling me about the Chicago dog. will get it the next time. I love them with the sport peppers and the celery salt not jalepenoes… a bit more authentic… The slaw dog was delicious though. And I didnt have to scrape the mustard off that was dripping from the burgers before… Thanks you both for making our visit a pleasant and tasty experience…(STILLLOVEYANEWHAVEN !!!)

Fort Wayne is «famous» for two of this places menu items. Coney dogs at Fort Wayne Famous Coney Island, and sliders at powers. Both of the aforementioned are winning go to places in my book. That being said let me share my experience at Coney Dog Café. We got carry out. I ordered two Coney dogs with everything and two sliders with everything and cheese. The Coney dogs were ok at best, but nothing compared to Coney Island downtown… If I am in the mood for a Coney Dog, I’ll gladly make the drive downtown. Now for the sliders… these were fantastic… One of the best sliders I’ve ever had… And yes… better than Powers. I will gladly be returning for the sliders… not sure I’ll return to Powers, not cause they are bad… bit because these are that much better. Well done Coney Dog Café.

If you are looking for a laid back environment, this is perfect. Ita very laid back, with the servers wearing normal cothes, the kitchen being open to see whsts going on, all the seating is in one room, and the tables and chairs all nearbone another. The server who help us first was a very nice young woman. The second woman didnt really say much. When we walked in the tables and chairs were scattered and not well put into place. The food itself, not bad. I compare it to another local company and they arent tooooo far off, but they arent quite there. I loved that their chili had beans in it. And the coney dogs themself were aave4gae, nothing over the top!

We tried this place out for lunch. They have pretty good prices. We tried the 2 coney dog(with coney sauce, mustard and onions) special that came with french fries and a soda. Fries were hot and fresh, coney dogs were good. We also tried the corn dog, it was also very good! They also have sliders, burgers, onion rings, pork tenderloins, and various other dogs to pick from.
