Went in for breakfast today 10÷10÷15(for the first time ever) got there at 6:00 am doors were just opening. Came in took 5 min to get my order and about 10 for my food to come out. Food was awesome! Finished my breakfast around 6:25. Noticed the waitress«Shirley» getting into a Conversation with a regular customer about the Colts and the Cubs about this past weeks games .(basically ignoring me) Never got checked on. I was done with my meals and I decided to set the timer on my phone to see how long it would take for her to check on me.(because it seemed like she was way more interested in the guy and gal at the counter then a new potential customer) It took 21 minutes for her bring me my bill. When she brought my bill I told her that it took 21 minutes to get my bill and she said«I was busy with other«customers». I said fine ring me up I have to go. After that she walked up to the counter to the where the«regular» customers were and says something and I can hear them laughing about the comment on me bringing up that it took 21 min to get my bill. She brought me my check and I cashed out. When I get home I called to ask to speak to a manager. There were no managers available nor were the owners available when She asked what this with regards too, I told them that it was service that I received earlier in the morning. I was then told that no one was available o and was hung up on. Will never go back to this place because of the service. With employees like that no wonder why businesses like that are going out of business in that area!

Good food at fair prices, but spoiled by really bad service. This was my second recent visit with the same experience so i decided to write a review. It was about 9am Saturday morning and a half full restaurant. We got water right away, but it was about 15 min before the only waitress came around and she wasn’t overly friendly(just overworked I’m guessing). We infomed the first gal that we were ready to order, but apparently she only does drinks. They need to get more help — if I give Klemms Candlelight Café another try it will be a long time.

We were looking for a diner kind of breakfast last Saturday and stumbled in here — so glad we did. Klemm’s is the place you go when you’re looking for cheap, delicious, stereotypical diner food in the best way. My boyfriend had never had country fried steak and although it was a little much for him, I tasted it and told him that was EXACTLY what country fried steak with potatoes and gravy from the South was supposed to taste like. I opted for the french toast and eggs — french toast was beautiful to look at, lightly dusted in powdered sugar; two fried eggs were cooked perfectly, with not a scorch mark in sight! Coffee was pretty decent — could be a tad bit stronger, and my sausage patties were a little bit small. I also like that they have lots of different options to choose from, breakfast all day long, etc. They even have fruit cups if you’re trying to be a little healthier.

Great breakfast at an extremely great price! It’s non-breakfast menu isn’t as good though. The retro environment is also pretty awesome.

Great breakfast, garbage-and-toast, good enough to clog you arteries. :) Really inexpensive to, much better than the chain places.
