Dan’s Seafood & Chicken

I have been a customer of Dan’s Seafood for a very long time. I moved away from the location on Bridge Street then they opened one near me on Altamesa. I have frequented the location quite a bit, I have tried many things on the menu. I enjoy their food. For the first time yesterday, I exchanged my sides and requested okra instead of the fries that would have came with my meal. They both are the same price ($ 1.99) as individual sides on the menu so in my opinion should have been an even exchange. I called my order in and went to pick it up, I looked a my receipt and was charged $.79 for the swap. Even though they are the same price. If the okra was $ 2.49 on the menu and fries were $ 1.99 I could understand a $.50 charge if I changed but they are the same price. Then $.79 is almost half the cost of the individual side order. This is poor business practices. I am surprised and very put off right now, I know it is $.79 but what next?

The food was so super amazing spicy and full of creole cajun flavor!!! I think I’m in love!
We had the boiled crawfish, boiled shrimp, fried fish plate, and gumbo accompanied by margaritas and beer on draft! Everything was so super duper delicious! The prices were also phenomenal. Our bill for 6lbs of crawfish with corn and potatoes, a lb of boiled shrimp, two seafood plates, and drinks was $ 78 and we still had lots of food to take home!
Oh and the customer service was extraordinary! Plain and simple We had no complaints and we were BEYOND satisfied! They treated us like family and even said we were :) You must check Dan’s out!

I hated crawfish until I ate them here. They provide a vast variety of seafood with tantalizing flavors. I have never become sick after dining her nor has anyone whose accompanied me. They provide outdoor eating which is awesome because i personally enjoy people watching. It is always clean even when I’ve seen groups leave because their staff is spot on about cleanliness.

Delicious fried seafood and chicken with actual FLAVOR, not just tasting like breading. Cheap prices and has drinks, snowcones and more. Highly recommend+!!!

Dans has fantastic food. The menu is huge– but if you’re hungry they have something for everyone.
They are always nice and professional too.
Can’t beat that.

The people are very friendly here, for me thats a plus the grilled shrimp is worth the price… Id recommend this as something quick n tasty …

First time customer of Dan’s. I was impressed with the size and freshness of the shrimp. I like to order extra cocktail sauce because most restaurants never provide enough for me. In this case, Dan’s provides more than enough and I won’t be ordering extra the next time. I went through the drive thru and almost missed the order board because it’s right in the middle of the sharp curve behind the building. I’m looking forward to going back the next time I want a shrimp dinner.

This was one of my worst experiences with seafood! Ordered shrimp and oysters and both were over cooked! The cocktail sauce tasted like Louisiana hot sauce not cocktail. Tarter sauce was bland and French fries were just olé ordinary frozen fries! We ordered okra but was told by waitress she forgot and if she brought it out we would have to pay for it. Needless to say we ate a few bites and left hungry.

My family love it here. Big plates so be prepared to eat! Love the atmosphere of the place. Cashier is not so friendly. But food is good.

I was in the mood for something besides the usual local fast food places around here. I remembered this place and after looking at some pics and reviews on Unilocal,I was convinced to try it. I had the fried catfish filet, fried shrimp, and fried oysters– to go. So we all know «fried» doesn’t hold up well. This «fried» did. The crunch on the fish was good. The shrimp was huge! Now, after trying the fried oysters I realized I do not like fried oysters. But my guy who does like fried oysters said they were good. The inside was nice for dining in and they also have a drive thru! I’ll be back for sure!

The food is always hot and tasty. The portions are generous. Had the catfish and the shrimp damn it was great. If you have not eaten here put it high on your list of places to go. Great food friendly staff.

Nice people and good food, the fish and shrimp were perfect and I love the batter on the chicken tenders. Didn’t care for the french fries but everything else was great. They don’t skimp on condiments for to go orders unlike most places.

Great neighborhood find! Come hungry or plan on splitting… huge portions served piping hot! Delish!

The quality and professionalism here is unmatched for the area. The dining room is decorated with a very sleek & modern design that makes it very easy to observe how clean it is.
The service is very kind and courteous. Everyone will treat you with respect and patience as you spend your time trying to select off of a menu that features several delicious and appetizing dishes.
The food always comes out just as you expected. Hot, fresh and identical to the pictures posted on the menu. This is an excellent choice to feed yourself in a quick situation, a large party in house or a large to go order.
Don’t pass this spot up.

Dan’s is pretty great. Very clean, simple atmosphere. You order at the counter and then pick out a table. They have pictures of their selections on the wall so that you know what you are getting into, but they don’t do it justice. My husband and I each ordered an entrée and bought fried oysters to share. It was way too much food. Portion size is huge. Next time we know to split an entrée. The chicken we ordered was extremely juicy and came out at the right temperature. The beer was cold and very well priced for bottles.
Overall, great first impression.

Too bad we will never be able to try Dan’s After arriving at 8:25 on a Friday night we tried to order and the lady behind the counter said it was for takeout only. Said their dining room closed in five minutes and the only way we could order is if we took it out side to eat it. After this kind of customer service we will take our money else where. beware they might close at 9: pm but you can’t go in and order and eat after 8 :30

Great Seafood and specials. The Shrimp was excellent and the portions were huge. They also serve Beer !

OMG, if you have not been to Dan’s, you need to add this to your list. If you love some of great fried fish filets, shrimp, calamari or even oysters this is the place to go! This is some great hearty goodness, and even if you don’t want it fried they also have grilled options ;). But who are we kidding, you gotta splurge when you’re here.
This is a small family owned business, and they have one other location that’s located in the mid cities of Fort Worth (820/​John t white area).
First off, the fried fish filets are HUGE, 2 pieces are more than enough for me. They never pre cook anything, so it’s always made fresh for every order so it comes out piping hot. The fish is perfectly cooked and a nice flaky texture and the batter is so well seasoned.
Now aside from the fish, they have these oysters that are amazing. They’re huge and go down so nicely haha. They also have a plethora of sides, from fries to corn nuggets and cole slaw. The corn nuggets is def. one of my favorites for when I’m splurging.
They have plenty of sauces to choose: from tartar sauce, fresh lemon juice to spicy chili.
The great thing about this location is they serve beer! Super cheap so that’s a major plus, and they have a nice outdoor patio to enjoy when the weather permits.
I recommend everyone to try Dans for some delicious tasting food! It is hands down my favorite place to splurge ;). The staff are super friendly and the owner, Don is always there; so give him a shout!
