Totally fun place to go with friends. I not sure why folks are so crazy about the fries, though. Good, but I could make that home easily.

The adult grilled cheese is to die for!!! The mix of the cheeses along with the crunchy bacon bits… MMMMMMMMmmmm… I’ve driven 30 minutes here with my baby in tow during my maternity leave just so I could have it. The gorgonzola fries are also yummy in the tummy. But save some room for the donuts! I’m not crazy about coffee or the flavor, so I wasn’t too thrilled with the ice cream, but the donuts… OMG so yummy. Reminds me of the state fair yumminess. It’s all street parking, so good luck if you’re coming on the weekend or peak lunch hours. I always try to go around 1 – 1:30 to avoid the parking torture. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This place is usually pretty busy, so call ahead and have them put your name down on their waiting list. I just went yesterday for lunch and I’m already craving the grilled cheese again. Trust me, the thunder thighs and muffin top is definitely worth it for this place!

Lili’s has delicious, unique meals and wonderful service. We’ve been here a few times now. On my last trip, I called during the day to make reservations. When we got there, my reservation was not written down and I started to get nervous. However! They apologized and sat us right away. I was grateful that they believed me, and only asked, «Who did you speak to?» before telling the waiter to seat us before anyone else on the list. The food is always terrific. The menu is seasonal and always a little different every time we stop in. Most recently, we split the Gorgonzola Fries as an appetizer for four. It was delicious and the right amount of food, so we were still hungry for the entrees. For dessert we all split the doughnuts and coffee ice cream… at this point we really weren’t hungry but had heard so much about it and never ordered dessert. Now I know why it gets so much press! It was absolutely incredible. It’d be a fun place to stop by later in the evening just for drinks and dessert, too! That’s my plan next time, so I can fully enjoy those doughnuts without feeling stuffed! 5 stars for service and yummy food!

We went here for restaurant week for the first time, and were very pleasantly surprised. We had the Seafood Trio and Blackened Chicken Étouffée. Both were excellent, and the servings were more than either of us could finish. The service was excellent and the food presentation was spot on. The wine selections were well varied, but I am sure there are others that would wish for even more, but we were happy with the ones to select from. Casual atmosphere in an area that has shown a resurgence and rebirth in a once forgotten part of Ft Worth. Cheers to Lili’s, and hopefully even more places will follow and make this area build upon it’s relatively recent success. And oh yeah, their homemade donut dessert was crazy good.

The best meal I’ve ever had. No joke. We ordered the fries for an appetizer and they were really good! I had the tomato tart for my entrée. It was amazing! It is pricy but totally worth it. Even the salad was delicious! I can’t wait to go back

[ SERVICE ] The service was great, our server was very attentive to our requests and filled up our water frequently. [ DECOR ] Lots of tables, lots of seating, lots of parking [ FOOD ] I had«The Businessman’s Lunch»(from their website) ½ lb beef patty topped with brown mushroom gravy and sautéed onions, served with House Wedge and fries. The House Wedge is a whole cabbage cut in ¼th served with gorgonzola dressing and bacon bits. The only flavor that stood out to me was the gorgonzola dressing, but the overall meal was«meh.» The brown mushroom gravy was bland and the patty didn’t impress me. Of course the prices are expected as this is in the trendy Magnolia area. I’m not really sure I’d go back to Lili’s. :/

My family dined on a Saturday night with a party of five, having made a reservation in advance. Upon arrival, they attempted to seat is at a four-top. We asked to be seated at a different table to be more comfortable. One of the chef/owners told us that he couldn’t really accommodate us, and seemed as though he would be pleased if we left. Luckily(I guess) another one of the chef/owners intervened and had a five-top set up for us near the band. The food was not that imaginative but decently executed. Our waiter Chris was attentive, polite, and knowledgable. Chris’ superb service would have made us forget about the poor experience at arrival if we hadn’t had the misfortune of interacting with same chef/owner again. Shortly after signing the check, we were indelicately asked to move elsewhere to make room for the next guests, our wine glasses still in hand. To the chef/owner who made us feel unwelcome: Please stay in the kitchen.

Went with a friend for lunch several weeks ago. Greeted and seated well. Nice atmosphere inside. Lucked into a parking spot, which can be hit or miss in this area due to the limited spaces and ongoing side street construction. Ordered the Bahn mi wrap with a wedge side salad and a glass of Blue Moon suds. Took the wrap home because I was full after eating the salad. When I ate the wrap later that night it seemed like nothing much more than sliced lunch meat & a dab of slaw in a wrap rather than the innards of a Bahn mi. Had I eaten it during lunch it might have been fresher, but the same otherwise. Disappointing, would not order again. I’d probably just order the full-size salad and call it a day. I can see why the ladies review this place so high and honestly it’s A-OK, but overall for me it seems more like a business person’s trendy concept restaurant. If someone asked me to join them here I wouldn’t object, but in general just another of a long stream of Fort Worth restaurants that I just can’t seem to get excited about.

The Farmer burger was so incredibly average. Bland and tasteless considering the amount of ingredients on it. My waitress said they cook patties between medium and medium well but that doesn’t matter much when it’s a pre-formed burger patty. It came with no pink inside and was gummy. It probably would’ve bounced if I threw it on the ground. Other reviewers raved about the Gorgonzola fries. Again underwhelming! Standard waffle fries sprinkled with crumbled cheese and a few green onions. The plate came with shredded purple cabbage(looks and tastes straight from a bag), pickle spear and green onion sprinkled over the fries. It adds some color to the plate but, just, ugh! Nothing felt tied together here. Only like discrete ingredients served together. My waitress wasn’t rude, but was short and not personable. A middle aged man in a collared maroon shirt seated me. He could’ve been a manager or owner, but he didn’t seem happy to be there. It seems this attitude permeates my lukewarm experience. I should’ve spent my $ 15 lunch money at Spiral Diner next door, or had a «gourmet» fast food burger and saved half my money.

For some reason every time I come here, I order the chicken salad sandwich. It’s pretty good and I guess you stick with what’s good. I will come back to try other entrees. There’s several comfort food type options. Every dish that leaves the kitchen just looks so delicious. The presentation is fantastic. Gorgonzola fries are a great starter. I’ve also had the potato soup which is pretty tasty. The service is always quick during lunch hours although parking can be a pain. For lunch, you wanna come early. Before noon early. I never leave here hungry or feeling like I ate a crazy amount of food. There’s something here for everyone.

Had lunch here yesterday. Service was great, very nice and attentive servers, there was a short haired girl with glasses who was very pleasant and our waiter was a guy who was nice too. We ordered the Banh Mi wrap and the lamb pitas and Gorgonzola fries. After reading the reviews I expected way more from the fries, basically waffle fries with Gorgonzola crumbles and topped with shallots? Meh. Banh Mi wrap should be renamed to chicken wrap because there was nothing«Banh mi» or ethnic about it. The veggies should have been pickled the very least. The pita wrap was ok, the lamb was dry. I did like the wedge salad though. I mean the waiter did say the burgers were a hit but we weren’t in a burger mood, so we will try again next time

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place. Well let me start off by saying this is one of my favorites on Magnolia. I love how intimate the place is with the piano playing while dining. I think everything on the menu is great in my opinion. But my favorite is the smoky stuffed chicken! My God it’s good. If it wasn’t for this dang diet I’m on I would be there today. But hey that doesn’t stop you from going. The inner fat girl in me also loved the doughnuts and ice cream. Please stop what you’re doing, make a reservation and… GO!

After eating Mexican food 4 days in a row, I wanted something light for lunch. If I thought about what I wanted for too long it would probably be Mexican again. I consulted with my bookmarks and picked Lili’s! Knocking out another Magnolia restaurant. I was really only wanting a salad or a soup/sandwich. I found myself ordering Fried dill pickle spears! Wth? I don’t even like fried pickles and it’s rare I eat fried food. Well, today I got fried dill pickle spears. The waitress asked if that would be my meal and I told her no. She looked at me funny and I realized why once I got them. 10 pickle spears! They were really good, especially dipped in the green onion dressing. No, I didn’t eat all 10! 3 plus a house salad and I could’ve been done. I also ordered the King Ranch Poblano. There goes my «light» lunch. I love Chile Rellenos, poblanos so if it’s on the menu and not fried, you can guarantee I’m ordering it. I reckon I’m on a quest to find the best Chile Relleno. It was stuffed with chicken, bell peppers, onions, and topped with cheese. It was good, but my quest is still on going. The meal came with a wedge salad and it was delicious. Loved the dressing. Definitely would come back to Lili’s.

Pros– The appetizers were creative and delicious. The Brie and apricot spread with soft warm toast points were one of my favorite dishes of the night, the flavors went really great together. The Gorgonzola fries with chives are a must! Boyfriend loves his filet, tender and cooked to his liking. Ambiance was pleasant and rustic with live music. Cons– Minimal wine list selection and serve beer and wine only. My seafood trio was much to be desired. The salmon was tough and overcooked while the crab cake was bland at best. Overall cute place and delicious appetizers, perhaps I’ll order something different next time.

A few girlfriends and I decided to give Lili’s a try for lunch, we had to wait for a few minutes upon arriving — no biggie. The lunch menu is really reasonably priced, you can get a pretty big burger and side for $ 11.00. They make their own buns in house, the burger was well cooked and delicious. The Gorgonzola fries are just ok, they were under cooked and had whole peppercorns on them. Some might enjoy those big chunks of peppercorn, but I don’t — I also prefer my fries to be some what crisp and not mushy. The other two in my party, both seemed very happy with their meals. As for the service, they lacked a little in that area. Our waitress seemed eager to take our order, after that we rarely saw her and if we wanted a drink refill we had to wave her down.

I have eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch selection(see photos of Veggie Sliders and Greek Wedge Salad), not so excited about my dinner selection(which I forgot to take a photo of). The veggie sliders are flavorful and filling, Greek wedge salad very very tasty. My friends had the King Ranch Poblano Chicken and Veggie Sliders with Gorgonzola Fries(see photos), which was also pretty tasty. Very disappointed in the Heaven and Hell cake. For the price, I expected homemade. Pretty sure this cake is not homemade, and it had definitely been frozen. Will be sticking to lunch here:-)

I’ve always visited Lilys for lunch and it’s delicious! They have amazing burgers and great wedge salads among other lunch time fare. Tonight I’m venturing out for dinner at the Magnolia dinner spot, and I’m impressed. The nighttime ambiance is quiet and very romantic. With candles on each table and a talent musician playing piano in the corner, I barely recognize the usually bustling lunch spot. The menu is more sophisticated after dark and offers items like escargot and toasted ravioli. They even have a Beef Wellington as a regular menu item. I would recommend stopping by for a date or an intimate setting to host a small group of friends.

OMG I dined here last week with a girlfriend of mine. Her suggestion and it was perfect! As everyone else has said, it is a cute bistro-y feel to it, with white glove service. I started with the house wedge salad, touted to arrive with tomatoes, bacon and Gorgonzola dressing. Wow, never a better salad have I had, including the III Forks salad or the Knife and Fork Ceasar at Trulucks. Next time, I will only order this, as it was so outstanding I cannot even describe. Thick, crunchy bacon, ripe tomatoes and the single most amazing salad dressing I have had. I normally don’t order Gorgonzola or Bleu cheese, but in this case, it had no bite or bitterness. Nice pungent scent and taste, but in no way over-bearing. Friend skipped the appetizer and we both ordered the Lili’s house burger, served with Gorgonzola spread, bacon and tomato. I ordered mine medium rare and it came out cooked perfectly. The seemingly homemade bakery bun was sturdy enough to contain the sandwich but not too firm as to make eating it a chore. A+ on the burger and for those other trendy burger places, I double-dog dare you to sample and compare! Hands down this is a winner! I als ordered the Fresh off the Farm, which was grilled veggies and the added salmon filet. Hubby was absent for dinner and is a pescatarian, so I almostc always bring something home. They packaged this to-go order beautifully, in a metal tin with a clear lid. Inside, I found a portabella mushroom, red and green peppers, yellow squash, zucchini and onions. Perched atop was a rather smallish salmon filet and I would guess four ounces at best. Hubby said the taste was fresh and the fish was grilled well; however, for about $ 25 it wasn’t that spectacular! I plan to visit again with hubby and let him try the vegetarian or seafood choices fresh, without reheating, as was needed the only time he has tried it. Me, on the other hand, plan to go face down on the house wedge salad and maybe come up in time for dessert!

My daughter and I ventured in(with reservation, you need it) for her 25th birthday. I’ve heard a lot about Lili’s, all good. We were not disappointed. Our Fort Worth Unilocal host, Kendall, described the atmosphere perfectly, I can’t improve on her notes. It’s very European bistro(right out of Brussels), but it also reminded me of a sidewalk bistro in New Orleans. Parking is always a bit of an issue on Magnolia, particularly on the north side of the street, but with just a bit of searching, was able to find a place within a couple minutes walk. The restaurant is very rustic, cozy, and intimate inside. Definitely not fussy, and I appreciate that. Tables/booths are far enough apart that you can have a conversation with your dinner partner with no problem. The service is perfectly matched to the facility, casual and cozy, but very attentive. The food was amazing, I mean that’s what we all come for. Not an extensive menu, but something for everyone including an extensive vegetarian section that looked delish. Following my Unilocal recommendation, we had to try the Gorgonzola Waffle Fries. Hell yeah, they are out of this world, a definite must, no matter what you order for main course($ 10). We split those along with an order of the Thai pork dumplings. These were also fantastic(made into small single bite portions) that were served with a very tasty pickled red cabbage slaw that paired perfectly. For main course I had a heck of a time choosing something. Everything caught my eye, but I settled on the Green Chile Pork which was served with fingerling potato and a corn side I just couldn’t get enough of. A very tasty choice. My daughter selected the smoked, stuffed chicken and was similarly impressed. The peach, mango iced tea is nice, and there are about half a dozen red and half a dozen white wines by the glass, along with some bubbly to suite anyone’s taste buds. Overall, I’m having a hard time recalling a better all around experience. It’s just not to missed, but Lili’s has a limited number of tables, so weekend reservations for dinner are tough. It’s a definite visit on the Fort Worth restaurant scene. The dessert menu looked fantastic as well, but we had birthday cake waiting, so unfortunately(or fortunately), I will need to return for a sample. All in, we spent about $ 43 per person, a bit pricier than my usual fare, but worth it in my opinion.
