Super tasty cupcakes! We stopped by the Fort Worth Food Park last night to pick up something sweet for us and our dog. We were all pleased with our cup and pupcakes!

5-stars for the cupcake… 4-stars for price. After a bite for lunch at the FW Food Park yesterday, I decided to splurge on a cupcake for my post-dinner treat and a pupcake for my furry friend at home. For the record, I think $ 3 a cupcake the«normal“is size is ridiculous, to be honest. But, I was curious.(«Normal» means = the size you’d make at home, btw.) I chose the coconut something-or-other. Coconut cake with coconut cream cheese icing. Rolled in coconut. O.M.G. This was seriously delicious. I tried to savor it, which is difficult to do when you’re devouring it. I think I may have naughty dreams about it, it was so good. The pupcake? My little Peanut devoured it as well, which I’d have to say is a good sign.(For a small-ish dog, ~ 15 lbs, you could give it as two or three servings easily.) Will I return? Whenever I have a few leftover bucks in my weekly cash food budget. But, I’ll resist for now, since $ 3 as I said, is insanely expensive for a cupcake. Sorry, just being honest.

Easily my favorite cupcakes in Fort Worth. The«Nuts for Kentucky» is an amazingly delectable treat with super moist bourbon cake and caramel icing. Every flavor we’ve sampled is delish! In response to some of the other reviews, I also feel the size is perfect for the amount of sweet that these cupcakes contain! Any larger would be just too much. Overall they are wonderful and reason enough to venture to the FWFP.

Honestly, I want to give 3.5 stars because of the oft-mentioned price issue, but I’d rather pay more for a quality product all day long than pay a little for something sub-par. Well, the good news is that you’ll likely be impressed with Red Jett’s product. We caught up with them at Ft. Worth Food Park a while ago, and sampled two of their delicious cupcakes: Lemon Interrupted: A special for summer, this features a very dense, almost pound cake style cake with a delightful bright yellow buttercream that is packed with lemon flavor. It somehow made the 100 degree heat seem a little cooler. Nuts for Kentucky: Bourbon cake with caramel buttercream, rolled in candied pecans. That’s the official line, but the reality is that it’s pure decadence. My only wish is that the cake had been more moist, but it’s a great bite. As my fellow Elite Jennifer M. said, I wish they’d offer minis; if I could get two minis for $ 3.00, that’d be awesome, but I understand that they have to make money.

Mmmmm… this is my summertime sugar shack! Very fun truck with lots of good choices. * Nuts For Kentucky is my 5 star pick. I’m glad they don’t have this flavor daily or my clothes wouldn’t fit! Amazing combo of brown sugar, pecans, and caramel buttercream! * Vanilla Echo is usually a 4 star. Solid, consistent… there isn really anything unique, but it’s a reliable cupcake. * Coconut gets 3 stars — love the cake but the dream cheese icing weighs down the light fluffy coconut flavor. I’m not a big chocolate fan but the ones I’ve tried have been well-flavored. I do wish they offered minis — I’d stop more often if they did!

Coming back into Fort Worth to check out the hottest spot, not including the words«Wood» or «Shed» in the title, I was excited to see that the trailer park that everyone in the DFW is raving about had picked up on the tail end of the cupcake trend. I say tail end because I am certain that this small muffin-shaped item fad will soon die. Red Jett Sweets cranks out some cool flavors, namely coconut comet and chocolate echo. Very clever names. Very Jetson-esque. Who doesn’t love the Jetson’s? Great effort in Fort Worth. As everyone has said, the $ 3 price tag is outrageously steep. Having lived in Austin and tried many a «gourmet» cupcake at far less than $ 3, I could simply not fully enjoy this one. The flavor was good, yes. But, it is not hard to unjustify a $ 32-bite item. Unless it is a truffle. Additionally, the texture was not superb. The dark chocolate cake portion of the chocolate echo was good; on the other hand, the frosting boasted no more than the«been sittin’ out» texture: slightly dry exterior. If prices go down, and portions go up, I will return. If not, I will have to save my money for something more valuable. Great concept at providing the trailer diners with a little sweet treat on their way out.

I struggled with giving this a 3 or. 3.5. I did enjoy the cupcake I ordered. I had a the coconut cupcake with coconut cream cheese icing. The cupcake was moist but to small for the price. I agree with the other reviewer Jimmie. The service was polite.

I thought the cupcakes were excellent — great flavors and very moist. I agree with Jimmie H. though, they are a bit overpriced for the size.

One of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had. Grabbed one of the Red Velvet ones for later after a visit to the FTW Food Truck park, and it was great. Icing wasn’t overkill sweet, and the cake part was fantastic. Spread the icing around a little, makes it even better. Great cupcake… price…not so much. I can understand product to market costs, etc. etc., but $ 3 for a small cupcake, even for these, seems a little too much. But hey, it is a great cupcake, judge for yourself on value. I will buy again, just maybe not that often.

We stopped by after dinner tonight @ FWFP but they were SOLDOUT. Bummer. Not to worry though, we needed to shop at Target and Christina the owner promised us there were more sweets en route. We stopped back, and it was worth it. My son and wife loved the pumpkin with cream cheese frosting, I loved my vanilla with chocolate frosting. The frosting was very light and milk chocolate heavenly, and the cupcake itself was moist and delicious.

What a fantastic concept! We chased them around town one day watching their Facebook updates when they had just opened… and it was SO worth it. They’ve gotten better about having a more organized schedule and they plan on being in the Fort Worth Food Park at least one day each week. Their cupcakes are so good and our favorite is the red velvet. My only problem is that they are a little smaller than I’d like them to be for the price. I’d love to see them expand into different sizes.

Red Jett Sweets take 2! After my last review, I got an email within a week from the cupcake connoisseurs themselves. They apologized for my experience and wanted me to give them another try on them. I was extremely impressed with their customer service and social savvy. I felt almost guilty for accepting free cupcakes because I didn’t feel like my review was totally horrible. Anyways, I went today in the pouring rain to give them another shot. I am giving them another star for their great customer service and their pumpkin and lemon poppy seed cupcakes. For some reason they were more moist and flavorful than the choc/van flavors. Overall, such a fun cupcake truck with yummy treats. I met one of the owners Christina today and she was lovely. Please go try them for yourselves and write a review!
