El Pollo Loco

Last minute before close, there is a man working there help us with our craving. Really nice guy and good customer service. Don’t know his name but EPL is one of my favorite since long time.

Just went thru the drive thru and ordered a Pollo Bowl. Requested all beans no rice. Arrived at wirk to find the they gave me all rice no beans… try listening. Wont be back to that location!!!

I love their chicken and fresh salad with avocado hmmmm… yummy this place is better than KFC and Popeye

El Pollo is one of my favorite fast food places. We ate at this location today for the first time. I usually don’t Unilocal fast food restaurants, but service today was good enough to warrant a short review.
Elizabeth made this particular lunch special. She was genuinely helpful to not only me, but to my friends as wells. She gave appropriate menu suggestions, and was patient while awaiting our side order choices. She made sure the food was brought to our table. She came by our table later during our meal, asking if all was great. Overall, an excellent customer service provider. I did not get a chance to let hew know, so please pass this on to her.
Also, I enjoyed the chicken at this location. Skin was crispier than most other locations, which I appreciated! Only one complaint — no horchata sold here!

I love El Pollo Loco — and this place is so close to home — but I’ve had it. I thought about writing a review last year, after a disaster of an experience with my order, and again earlier this year when I got home and realized part of my order was missing. Then I had a good experience — so I let it go. But, I visited the store — via drive thru — on the evening of June 18^th, at about 7:55 PM, with the intent of ordering two grilled mango chicken bowls, and an 8 piece meal. Simple enough — right? Well — imagine my surprise when after ordering the 8 piece meal with 2 sides (not the 10, 12 or 16 — but the 8 piece) I was told, «I’m sorry — we’re out of chicken.» I thought I’d heard wrong, so I asked her to repeat it. And — she did, and then added that it would be about a 20 minute wait. I asked if they had ANY chicken. She asked me to wait a minute. «A» minute turned into 4 minutes. When she FINALLY came back — she told me that they had 3 breasts and 3 wings. I told her I’d take them — and told her which two sides I wanted, along with the 2 bowls. She told me to come to the window for my total. At the window — she then informed me that she only had 2 breasts and 3 wings. I had hungry people at home, and so I said fine — thinking I may have to make another stop somewhere else.
And then — it got worse. $ 30.61 for 2 Breasts, 3 wings, 2 Grilled Mango Chicken Tostadas, 1 Lrg Cole Slaw, 1 Large Mac/​Cheese. Clearly a «5» piece meal wasn’t an option — which I think is wrong. And — it was sealed with a kiss — on the receipt — my order was open at 8:59 PM, and closed at 9:05 — in ADDITION to the 4 minutes waiting before I even placed my order…
So — I’m now done. I won’t go back. I shake my head in disbelief every time I think of that voice coming through the speaker, saying: «I’m sorry, we’re out of chicken».

My mother just went to order some chicken legs for me and they refused to sell her just 4 chicken legs at 9 pm. They said they only can sell 3? There were no customers at this time and there were lots of cooked chicken legs on the grill. This location did not want customers. We will never come back to this place again. We were so upset so we left.

Came here for some lunch
Ordered some shrimp tacos.
And ended up paying $ 8 something
Seriously $ 4 for one taco…
That’s a joke.
I’ve never ever in my life paid that much just for one taco.
It wasn’t even all that great.
And on top of that
Customer service was horrible and it wasn’t even busy at the time.

My favorite location because the customer service here is always excellent! The employees are friendly and warm and I love that they go over your order with you and show you all your items before you take it. This ensures nothing is wrong/​missing. Their attention to little details like that make them a step above.
Great and quick service for really cheap but delicious food!

This is one of the best pollo loco restaurants in Orange County. Excellent customer service and the employees themselves are really friendly, hardworking and on point with orders.
The food is comes in hot and ready in the appropriate time. The place is clean, and it has a cool mix of Spanish and English music playing in the background. It would be nice if this place had an expanded restroom. That’s all for now.

So… New Year’s Eve day at 445pm… I cruise down there and pull up to the drive thru to place my order of a 12 pc. family meal with legs and thighs. They tell me they can’t sell me the legs and thighs for some reason, even though it’s on the menu and I’ve ordered it before. However, they’re happy to sell me the assorted pieces that has breasts in it as well… which is like 4 bucks more or so… which isn’t the point… I just don’e like white meat.
LAME!
Won’t be going here again even though I am ½ a mile away.

Few times and each time I leave feeling disappointed. The drive thur never let’s you say what you want. They cut you off and your order is never right. Plus they make you feel like it’s your fault when you try and correct them. It’s such a shame I will most likely never go back. Hopefully they get it together.

There’s never cons consistency with this place. the salad dressing was very run down and watery the chicken was fresh but the lettuce was not enough, it was all the center of the Romaine. gross. I’m ready to call it quits with el pollo loco!

I received a lot of El Pollo Loco coupons in the mail, and I decided to try the new Mexican Torta. There’s a few options you can pick. The Grilled Chicken Avocado, Shredded Pork Carnitas, Grilled Blackened Chicken, Bacon Ranchero Chicken.
I tried the Shredded Pork Carnitas Mexican Tortas and it was really good. Based on the Pork Carnitas, I bet all of the Mexican Tortas are all equally good. The sandwich was huge and for the price with the coupon I used was awesome. The combo I purchased was a Mexican Torta, small chips, and a drink. Original price is 7.79 plus tax but the coupon I used took 2 dollars off and I paid a total of 5.40. So, I recommend looking out for coupons in the mail if El Pollo Loco sends to you.
Salsa bar inside El Pollo Loco is awesome. The Avocado Sauce and Mild/​Medium Salsa is good with the chips. I saw an employee refill the salsa and tidied up the Salsa Bar.
The place had air conditioning, overall clean, and mostly empty when I ate here. The parking lot is very small but there was parking enough parking spots available.

This is the worst el pollo loco i’ve ever encountered! This isn’t the first time they messed up our order. I didn’t post the other times, hoping to give them the benefit of doubt but I’m done. This time we got the family meal and the two sides we ordered were coleslaw and mashed potatoes. We got rice and beans even after we repeatedly said coleslaw and mashed potatoes. Our chicken also came out dry AND tiny. There were only 2 customers! How can you mess up repeatedly?
NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN.

I’ve been here a few times before and each time was great but the last couple of times? Not at all. This review is based on my last visit.
I ordered the $ 5 2 chicken tacos combo and when I got home, saw my tacos were both burnt. I couldn’t eat them. Included in this combo were chips so I ordered a side of guacamole. I received 2 small containers of salsa and 1 of the same size containers of guacamole. What a rip off. That wasn’t the last of it, however. They forgot to give me my chips!
The only good thing from this meal was the flan and small diet coke.

Ordered a chipotle chicken burrito with no sour cream, no pico. I received a chicken burrito, with cabbage, guacamole, PICO, SOUR CREAM, and beans. How hard is it? Ruined my 30 min lunch and wasted $ 6 on a bad burrito. Never going to this one again. Idiots.

Good place to grab lunch or dinner. Chicken is delicious and so is their corn. Really family friendly with good deals. Only thing was, after being served our food our server asked if we needed more plates, after politely saying «yes please» and patiently waiting she never returned. So we ended up having to walk up to the counter and ask again for them. I mean, why ask in the first place? We wouldn’t have waited and just went up to ask ourselves.

The speaker on this drive thru can bust an eardrum. Ouch!
I dont know if it was the speaker or the employees headset /​mouth piece (if they have one) or what. But man it pierced my ear. Once at the window, the woman who helped me was very nice and friendly.
I ordered one of the new salads last night — the Mango Citrus Salad I believe it is called. It was pretty good. I really like the chicken tacos, the taquitos and the BRC burrito.
The green salsa is my favorite!
The drive thru at this particular location is sort of challenging. Only one way out of the parking lot.

I gave 5 stars just for the short mexican lady with a big smile at the casher. She is very friendly and nice to her customers! Of course food taste is as good as other el pollo loco locations, how bad can it be, right?!
