Love this restaurant! The staff is wonderful and the food is great. We are definitely regulars!

Breakfast is the first meal of the day, this one ruined my morning. I ordered straight out of their menu… According to their menu a bacon and egg sandwich comes with tomato lettuce and mayonnaise. Perfect, I’ll have one. I’m lactose and my sandwich came with cheese and no mayonnaise! Had driven away by the time I sat to eat my sandwich that j had to clean out of the melted cheese. On top of it all the bacon had a bad oil taste to it, poor quality altogether

I’ve been here a bunch of times and have been happy with every experience. They offer a great selection of breakfast and lunch and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The two girls behind the register, Emma and Shelby were very friendly and made me laugh. I will come back here again as I usually do!

Great hamburgers!

My husband had the mixed breakfast burrito. Said it was THE BEST he’s ever had. And he’s already wanting to go back. I had the pancakes– very yummy! Service was pretty good. Hint– order at the counter and they’ll bring it to ya.

This place is a gem. Great mom n pop feel for pancakes and other breakfast and lunch items. Service is quick and friendly. The self serve coffee station is my friend (but this morning the young lady who delivered my food offered to fill it for me. Much appreciated).

Great breakfast portions at a reasonable price! This place has your standard eggs, bacon, hash brown, pancakes type of dishes… I’ve tried their steak and eggs, country fried steak, french toast and egg combo dishes — all are very good. Don’t expect any specialized breakfast dishes though. However, what they do offer is good and filling — I usually have to skip lunch after eating breakfast here!

Papa Z’s has your standard breakfast fare done well. I got the english muffin, eggs, sausage and hashbrowns. The sausage was cooked well and the hashbrowns were good and crispy! The prices are also very low as well for this area.
I would come back breakfast and brunch if I am in the area.

I have to say, the food here is amazing. This is the second time that I have eaten here for brunch and I am very impressed!
The food here is flavorful, but is not over powered with sodium and oil. I recommend getting the egg plates with polish sausage. They cut the sausage butterfly styled and it is to die for.
The customer service is great and everyone has a smile on their faces.
I am always coming here knowing that I will have a great experience.

I don’t always drink the leftover pico de gallo… But when I do it’s from Papa Z’s. Best breakfast burritos ever!

This place gives you a delicious and filling breakfast at a really great price! I got fried chicken steak, two eggs, a heap of hash browns, two slices of toast with jam and a cup of orange juice for only $ 10. I went along with my two cousins who got french toast, bacon and sausage… this may not be a big deal but I really loved that their sausage and bacon weren’t too greasy. They also give you a heap of bacon and it was all delicious.
I’m definitely coming back again soon for a good, simple, and reasonably priced breakfast.

Not sure why my previous review didn’t post but here’s an update…
Came back and service was awesome. Cashier was super friendly, asked us how we were doing, offered us a water cup. Wow… awesome service!
Made modifications to our meals and they delivered! Food tastes awesome! Even the coffee wasn’t burnt. Huge improvements from when we came in on Sunday.
The manager that helped us previously served us our food and remembered us. Awesome, it shows he cares. Seriously, he’s a really good manager. Totally seems like he fixed the issues because everything was seriously perfect. I’ll return again to see if they kept up… Until then, 4 stars!

Quick Review: Good food, classic diner fare. Prices are reasonable, definitely the neighborhood greasy spoon.
Pros: Huge variety, big breakfast burritos.
Cons: Can be busy.
Interesting in eating here on a Sunday, it won’t be a fast meal. We came to order a pick up burrito and patty melt and from start to finish, you’re looking at 20 mins. Not the worst wait but don’t expect a quick pick up. This place is packed with a line to the door!
Since we didn’t dine in, there isn’t much to say. It’s a typical diner style, but you order your meals then sit down at your table. Counter service essentially. I posted some photos of the menu board for prices as they’ve updated them. Everything is just a bit more expensive than a menu posted by another Unilocaler. I was excited about that $ 4 breakfast burrito, which is now a little over $ 6. Still a good deal. So here’s the food:
Western Breakfast Burrito $ 6.12
Eggs, cheese, hash, bell peppers and ham. Was it tasty? Yes it was. Was it pretty big? Yea it was. I would’ve loved it if the hash was a bit crispier, only because it was so soft you could barely tell it was in there. But that’s a potato preference. =)
Patty Melt $ 4.25
Typical patty melt on rye bread. You will get exactly what you expect with this one. That’s a good thing for most people.
I would come back, there’s a lot of things to try and they are different meeting my expectations.

was in the neighborhood and needed a quick place for breakfast. papa Z’s popped up on my Unilocal app and was happy with my breakfast.
what i ate:
— sausage breakfast burrito: huuuuuge breakfast burrito. came with a small container of fresh salsa, that had a nice kick to it.
pros:
— menu was small, but had everything you’d crave for breakfast, as well as burgers and such for lunch
— staff was very friendly
— it was clean and quaint. the feel of an old fashioned diner
— price was right. not so expensive for good food
— plenty of parking the in lot
cons:
— the seating is all booth style, so difficult for larger parties bigger than a 4top.
— no wait service, but i’m sure that’s reflected in the price
would i come again? if i was in the area, sure.

Food Was just ok.
If i could give no stars i would.
Seriously what killed it for us was getting skooled from a 20 something who rudely told my hubby that we could not sit at a booth till we got a number within 1 min of being there for the 1^st time. We have 2 toddlers… Standing in line with 2 kids under the age of 5 can be narly esp When the wait staff is flying by dropping off hot plates etc. Even the gal behind us was pissed saying you guys should be able to sit down. U have 2 little ones.
Mind you the scribbly sign that says wait to take a seat is way in the front of the line so we didnt event SEE the sign till afterwards… and the place was NOT packed.
Then 3 other folks (with NO kids) sat down after us with no number and had no issues… And no kids. I dont mind rules. Just be bloody consistent geesh!
I got eggs, bacon hasbrowns. It was 12:35pm bacon already tasted old and stale like they made it all at 7am then it just sat on the side of the flat top. Floor was greasy and filthy in the restaurant. Ewe. Bugs crawling on the inside window edge where we sat.
Hubs got the wet breakfast burrito. Was ok… Wished we went to our fav fantastic café in lbc… Always great food, service and yes you can sit down without a number.
Had wait and chase down 4 different servers to get extra plates, silverware, ketchup. It just really sucked overall and we love to support local. Wont be back even if it was free! Dont waste your time or money here.

This was a typical mom/​pop style restaurant where you order food at the counter and they bring it out to you once it’s done. They serve breakfast all day although they aren’t open after 3pm. The presentation of the food wasn’t top notch but the flavor was definitely there. The prices were super reasonable and there is quite a variety to choose from. The food came out pretty quickly too and was filling. We will definitely be back.

Oh my god. The wet avocado breakfast burrito I got here was glorious. The sauce on top was so flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. Perfect after a night of enthusiastic drinking.
Food came out quickly, everyone was very nice. Would absolutely go back. Maybe I can make some time tomorrow…

When I was a kid I looked forward to going to diners with my dad to get breakfast. It was there he taught me to appreciate chicken fried steak, to eat my runny egg yolks with toast, and to never underestimate really good hashbrowns.
I didn’t get to go with my dad but I was feeling nostalgic so we came to Papa Zs. It has a diner feel but you order at the counter which is kind of new to me. The food is decently priced and the workers are friendly.
Chicken Fried Steak — decent size with the right amount of batter to gravy ratio. They give you lots of hashbrowns plus a side of toast.
I had the combo that came with eggs, sausage and pancakes (I was really craving pancakes… and chicken fried steak so i made the bf order the chicken fried steak.
It’s really hard to mess up breakfast food so I can’t really say whether the food was amazing or not, but my eggs were cooked just the way I liked them, the pancakes were buttery and fluffy, and the hashbrowns had the good mix of the crispy topping and soft underlining.
I’d definitely come back!

I’m sure this place is responsible for 10lbs of chub but i don’t care it’s worth it. Breakfast burritos are extremely satisfying. I used to work down the street from here so 2 to 3 burritos a week can catch up with ya lols.
I took my wife and daughter and sat down for the first time and had a very pleasant dinning experience. Definitely recommended if you’re in HB
