LAURA is Amazing! I have been going to her for almost 5 years now. She is so positive and fun to talk to when I get my hair done with her. She is always very curtious and understanding to my needs. As a redhead it is hard to find someone that can perfect my color the way I like it. She also does an awesome job doing cuts with layers. I ALWAYS get compliments by even strangers after getting my hair done with her. She also does it to where I could go longer in between color to make it last and maintain a natural look. LOVE her! Can’t wait to get my hair done again! I always feel so pampered when I go to my hair done by Laura!

This salon is a hidden Gem. LAURA is the best colorist I’ve ever had. She is a master in her field and if you are looking for someone that will listen and give you exactly what you want every time, LAURA is your girl. You will never leave her chair unless you are 100% satisfied. If you are looking for a change, Try her out. you wont be disappointed.

Laura has been doing my hair for over 5 years and I can’t say enough positive things about her. She is an awesome stylist, color guru and best of all… a really fun and nice person to talk to.

I’ve been going to Laura for cuts and for special occasion blow outs and up-​dos for years. She is a perfectionist which is the gold standard when it comes to hair stylists. She always takes the time to consult with me on my expectations. Because of her many years of experience she knows what works with all hair types and she advises accordingly. She is never pushy or opinionated, she always makes sure I’m happy with my decision before proceeding. She is also extremely courteous of her client’s time — I never have to wait more than a couple minutes.
Thanks to Father Time there have been an increasing number of pesky grey hairs sprouting from my scalp (gasp!). A couple months ago Laura colored my hair to cover my greys and to correct some awful unevenness due to many days spent basking in the sun. I played it safe and went with a permanent dark brown and no highlights. Yesterday I was feeling adventurous and asked for very subtle highlights. Because my hair is dark I feared that highlights would result in that dreaded orange/​yellow streaky look that I so hate. Laura knew exactly what I feared and explained her process of highlighting dark hair, why it differed from what other colorists do and why it wouldn’t end up orange and voila — I love love love my highlights. They are subtle just like I wanted and no signs of orange whatsoever. They look natural, they aren’t chunky and the color is soft and beautiful. Laura is seriously a genius!!!
Not only is Laura a talented and awesome stylist but she is also an amazing person. I have spent many hours in her chair over the years and have gotten to know her. She is sweet, warm, genuine, open, loving and kind. She makes me laugh and it’s always so nice to see her — when I plop into her chair it feels like I’m catching up with an old friend.

LOVE LOVE getting my hair done by Jenn. After years of looking for a stylist that could figure out what to do with my Asian hair… I found Jenn. She knows her way around a great cut AND color. I highly recommend Jenn for anyone that is looking for an expert cut.

Tucked away in a corner of a strip mall — so easy to miss. HOWEVER, best hair cuts and color ever! Both my daughter and I see Diedre and it’s perfect every time. Very nice inside and service is friendly.

Jenelle rocks! I’ve been going to Jenelle for several years and even followed her from her previous salon which was quite a bit closer than Salon Dharma in Fountain Valley. I will not go anywhere else as long as I’m in Orange County. Peace.

I love this salon. It is such a peaceful place to get my hair done and everyone is friendly and sweet here. It is a relief and comfort when I walk through the door to the great atmosphere there.
Jenelle always takes great care of me and I never want to go anywhere else! My hair is difficult and I can’t use any product but she handles it like a champ. She is always going to events and training so she is current on the latest techniques and styles. I have been seeing Jenelle for 11 or 12 years now and I hope she will always be here to cut my hair!

I am very nervous about anyone touching my hair and was looking for a stylist I could trust when I moved to California 4 years ago. I met Jenelle by chance though some common friends and immediately felt like I could trust her with my hair… I received so many compliments the first time she colored my hair that I knew right away that my hunt for a stylist I could trust was over! She is not only an excellent stylist but an amazing person and we have become good friends over the years…
She is very conscientious by nature and always gives me genuine and honest recommendations on what I should do with my hair!

I’ve been bringing my teenage boys to Katy at Salon Dharma for their cuts. My youngest is socially challenged. Katy ALWAYS makes him feel comfortable and he enjoys their conversations. My oldest won’t allow anyone else to groom his hair! The salon is clean, the music and atmosphere is relaxing, there’s always unique refreshments and a beautiful array of Aveda products.

Salon Dharma is a little slice of hair care heaven in Fountain Valley. My stylist Jenelle is so talented. I have been her client for over 10 years and not once have I ever had a bad hair cut or color. The visit always starts with an aromatherapy head and neck massage that feels fantastic. And, Jenelle is so interesting to talk to; funny; articulate; worldly; and a good ‘chairside’ therapist if you need one.
The owner Kim is also very friendly and kind. Krissie, one of the receptionists, always has a smile on her face and I am always happy to see her. The whole salon feels cozy and inviting and I truly look forward to spending time there getting my locks spruced up. And the prices are so reasonable– I still expect to pay more and am pleasantly surprised at the affordability for the service and ambiance of the salon.

I open the door to the salon, and the business of day to day life slowly starts to slip away. A giant hug from my stylist, Jenelle, yep… my day just got a little better. Relaxation and aromatherapy before we begin-​yes please! I’m in a chair but I feel like I’m floating and am truly in my happy place.
Salon Dharma feels like home and I absolutely look forward to my visits. It is cool and refreshing on a hot day, and warm and comforting on a cold day. Jenelle is one of those people I feel I can never get enough of. She is so good at what she does! She always executes whatever my request is beautifully and her consultations are spot on. She is inarguably entertaining and know a lot of things about… well…a lot of things! Most importantly, I trust and respect her opinion and input. My days at the salon always end with me walking out of the salon feeling like me, but better and so happy! I love the conversations we have, the warmth of everyone in the space, and of course, the way I look and feel when I leave. I even look forward to receiving Krissie’s phone call to remind me of an upcoming appointment.
Nothing is stuffy or pretentious. You have comfort tea and coffee readily available and a beautiful, relaxing spot to sneak away to and get pretty for the day. I love it here! Kim has done an excellent job at maintaining the integrity of what a salon should be. I look forward to my next visit even seconds after I have made my next appointment as I walk out the door, back into the buzz of life with a shinier, brighter, beautifully tamed head of hair and the attitude to match!
