I was looking for a place that sold bulk green tea. The owner was very nice and very knowledgable. I was trying to decide on the tea I wanted and she had me come behind the counter and made me some of the tea I was interested in. It was a very unique experience and I know where I will get my tea from now on.

I have been coming back to this place for several weeks now. This place is amazing if you are coming here for their specialty loose leaf tea leaves and traditional Taiwanese tea pots. The owner is extremely passionate about traditional Taiwanese tea and tea culture. She is willing to share her tea knowledge with any that is willing to learn from her. Come here with a learning heart about tea culture and she will match that with her genuine passion for tea and hospitality. 5 stars!

Ive come here only a couple times so far, but the tea here is amazing. The owner is a very wonderful person who really knows her stuff about tea, especially Taiwanese tea. I have not tried the Boba so I will not base my review on the things that dont highlight the store. Additional to the tea, the sets and pieces are incredible and beautiful and worth every penny of their value. 5 stars!

We have been coming here for a few weeks now. The owner is very friendly and willing to teach us about Taiwanese tea. She carries teas and tea wares that she handpicked from Taiwan. If you come here just for Boba you are making a mistake.

High quality tea. This is one of the best legitimate tea places I have seen that serves quality Taiwanese tea. The owner is super friendly and kind! I highly recommend this place.

I ordered a hot almond milk tea. It was a good flavor, it tasted just like the almond jello that’s in Vietnamese desserts. And that’s what I initially was hoping for. So I’m all for that. My cousin ordered the slushy almond milk tea with boba, unfortunately, it had a weird taste to it. A little powdery. I don’t mind that they used the powder to make the drink, because that’s all I can think of making an almond drink with the type of flavor. The boba was amazing! So soft, chewy, and good flavor. I would definitely come back for another drink with the boba because let’s me honest, some locations don’t make a memorable boba impression. But this place did And the service was amazing! There was only one gentleman that was working and when we came in he had a welcoming smile even though he was walking to the back. He made a u turn to help us and he was so friendly! He gave us a warm welcome and was soft spoken when we had questions. I only tried two drinks, but I would most definitely come back for the boba and the awesome customer service

$ 4 for almond milk tea when there is boba competition next door. It tasted like the drink was premade and wasn’t that interesting as it did not stand out. Staff was friendly but it’s not a place I’d want to come back again.

Found this place on maps for close boba tea shops to where i was, and i love that it is right by the 405 south freeway entrance! Going in was awkward because it didn’t look like a fullservice tea shop but the man was SO friendly and he made my day with how friendly he was. He was great with the sweetness level of the drink. It’s a hole in the wall gem that doesn’t look so tempting from the outside, but defintiely walk in there and your mind will change. The price includes boba too which was great to hear whereas other places charge .50 for boba. $ 3.50 for a flavored tea with boba.

This store is tea heaven. The 67 year old owner is attentive, nice and has a charm. She knows tea inside and outside. Great products. Better prices than online.

I stop in here for tea all the time. The owner is very sweet and the service is always with a smile. Not only do I get teas to go, but the owner was nice enough to introduce me to high mountain tea and buying the proper cup to steep the tea and fully enjoy it. I’ll definitely return and get my loose leaf tea from this shop. Very knowledgeable and the owner takes the time to share the health benefits of the different teas. My new favorite place for tea!

I was really impressed with this shop. I was looking for Lapsang, which they do not carry, however, most of the tea I did see are green, black, and oolong. I asked if I could taste some varieties before purchasing and the owner happily obliged. It was nice to taste the tea through multiple steeping and see the changes in color and taste. The person who helped me was so informative and nice. I purchased three varieties and I’m definitely coming back for more!

I visited based on all the 4 star reviews but I should have known when I saw the powdered coffee being scooped into the machine that I must have ordered the wrong drink. My iced coffee with boba was meh. The boba was way too squishy and my drink was barely tolerable to drink. I left wishing I was close enough to re-order a different drink or get a refund… probably won’t go back.

The Short: Underrated Mom ‘n Pop boba shop Another recommendation from the ‘rents who raved about the strong tea flavor from Ten Li’s milk tea. The venue itself is unassuming and a tad bit hard to find in the middle of a shopping plaza in Fountain Valley. I ordered the standard milk tea with boba — I didn’t expect much but as referenced by another reviewer the boba was cooked to perfection(I prefer large-sized pieces and chewy) and the tea flavor was strong as my parents commented. $ 3 for the regular size, cash preferred(they charge 75 cents for debit/credit card purchases of tea drinks). I’ll definitely be heading back because good boba milk tea is a rarity in Orange County!

Boba here is ok I only get Jasmine iced tea with boba and little sugar. You can specify the amount of sugar if you tell her before hand. This is more of a loose tea store than boba store. Betty carries Taiwanese teas, and specializes in high mountain oolong. Her loose tea selection is very good and she knows the growers of where the tea originated and when it was harvested. Most shops get the tea from distributors and can’t tell you much about it. Her good teas are about $ 75 for 150 g. Premium teas like Alishan, oriental beauty, baozhong, and competition series are fair priced. Tea ware is current. I would buy some stuff from online. I get my yixings here and other things I can’t find I get here. I like her shop, it’s a shame that most people will only experience the boba portion of the shop and not try the better teas.

The nougat/nut candy was amazing. Handmade with no preservatives. We got 2 to try but ended up getting 6 more. A must try.

I went here today after reading the Unilocal reviews. Sounded like just the place I needed. It was. Betty, the owner, knows her tea. I have been drinking grocery store tea from tea bags. I knew there had to be better stuff. Betty was very friendly and gave me a quick education on tea. We went over to her tea table and she showed me how to brew a cup. The green tea she brewed was not at all like the tea I had been drinking from tea bags.(I imagine tea drinkers are laughing at me about now.) The boba and other drinks that most of the reviews reference are really secondary at this shop. Quality teas and tea… umm. gear? stuff? tools? are the heart of this store. I was at the store for about 45 minutes talking with Betty between customers. She didn’t push anything at me, which I really like. I picked out some green tea and tea(gear, stuff, tools, I don’t know what to call it) and was on my way. One review said it was cash only but she showed me she can take CC’s. I’ve brewed 3 cups since I got home. This is loose leaf tea and I was worried it would take longer than using tea bags. It doesn’t. And the difference in taste… Oh My!

Today was my second visit here and I will never come back to this place. I ordered jasmine milk tea w/boba for both my visit, and it was ok for first time but second time was horrible. That was most watered down Jasmine milk tea I’ve ever tasted. Boba did not taste fresh either. Tea was $ 3, & boba was $.50. I gave her $ 4 and she never gave me change… Really ??? I had a stamp card that was issued on May this year, and was told it will be expired tomorrow. Wow their card is only good for 3 month? That’s odd for those small tea place… I should’ve gone to other tea places, so disappointed:( I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because first visit was good.

3.5 stars. Been a loyal customer of Champion(store next door) for more than a decade now. I was puzzled as to why on earth someone would have the«balls» to open up another tea shop; right next door to such a renowned business. I was concerned for their welfare, but did nothing about it. I tried to keep my loyalties to one of the 1st boba places in FV. But, here’s a CONFESSION: my eyes have been wandering for the past year or so. Sad, but true. About 2 months ago, I decided to turn a blind eye and veer slightly to the left of the plaza. I felt so guilty. As if I just cheated on a long time love right in front of his eyes. But, I assured«him» I wasn’t leaving, but just scoping out the field and making new«boba tea» friends. I was welcomed by a sweet lady(the competition LOL) who was happy to see me. She informed me that they were different from next door. How? 1. Sell Chinese herbs, loose tea leaves and tea pots. 2. They USE loose tea leaves in their boba teas, which makes them separates them from Champion. 4. Stamp card: 6 drinks and 7th one free. 5. Limited drink menu; about 15 options. $ 3 each. 6. No food offered **THETEAGIST** 1st «date» JASMINEGREENMILKTEA: Mild tea flavors and a bit bland. Funny thing(after I got my drink), the owner recommended I try their milk tea next time. She said that was their specialty. Why didn’t she say that from the get go? 2nd «date» ORIGINALBOBAMILKTEA: Fan FAVORITE. Drink was light and soothing. Tea leaves created a nice scent. Great blend of tea, milk and sweeteners. And what about them BOBA balls? They were decent in texture. Moderately chewy, but gradually hardens as it sits in the drink. Will there be a 3rd «date?» ONLY when I’m too lazy to drive to my new favorite boba place on Euclid. Must admit, I am a boba flirt. I give places a try, but it takes a LOT for me to be a loyal customer.

— Locale Destination — It’s on Magnolia St and Warner Ave in Fountain Valley. It’s in the shopping center, right next to «Champion Food». The staff was friendly. No bathroom(you need to go to «CVS» for that) It’s a tea shop — they sell herbal teas like Ginsen as well as smoothies. The size of shop is small. Though there’re a few seating, but it’s not designed to spend time in drinking tea there. Plenty of parking. — Gluttony Expedition — Lychee slushy: Way too sweet. Very small regular size — lot smaller than usual regular size. Meh. — Conqueror’s Deduction — $ 4 for this size and quality?! It’s like a half of the regular size at «Class 302»… Meh. I think it’s way overpriced and overrated. Usually tea houses(that sells herbal teas) like this make good drink, but it wasn’t tea. Maybe I’ll try one of the teas and I’m done here ;p
