The servers clean the tables with smelly rags and then they don’t wash their hands after doing that.

Shaken Beef probably one of the easiest dish to cook but this place fail and if you can’t get that right then I am sorry your cooking isn’t that good. Beef was chewy and rice yikes :(

The only thing I’ve tried from here is their Bo Né and since I like it so much, it’s the only thing I get every time! It’s chewy and the sauce is tasty. Nice ambience and for a Vietnamese restaurant, it’s actually very clean.

Tried the Bo Né, Mi Xao Bo, and Hen appetizer. Mi Xao was a joke. While the beef was ok, the noodles was straight out of a Ramen bag. Won’t be coming back.

Trent you nassstttyyyyy! — Bo luc lac was chewy and the rice was old. How can that be when they just opened?! The lettuce tasted like soap. — Bo né was chewy and thin. Sauce was good though. Service sucked even though we were the only table. Pass!

Great food. Love oc giac here! They have variety of shellfish. The taste of oc mong tay with mo hanh is fantastic. Oc huong rang me is my fave and they make it good. Love the family like restaurant environment, which makes me feel welcome all the time. Waiting time is not too bad, just walk in and find your table right away.

I normally come for lunch and eat in their patio when it’s nice and sunny out. I’ve been here a few times for their bo né. I haven’t been disappointed yet.

My mother and I came here earlier today to enjoy a Labor Day lunch. We ordered their Bo Né and bun bo hue and got everything in less than 10 minutes. Honestly, this place has the best Bo Né I’ve ever had. They ask whether you want the steak cooked well or medium. I opted for the medium but I believe the sizzling plate ended up making it well anyway. No biggie, the meat was tender. The sauce they poured over is still unknown to me but it was good and perhaps a little greasy. Their bun bo hue was not worth the whopping $ 8.50. Not bad, however. Actually, most of the dishes on their menu is pricey but the restaurant is clean and in the middle of Fountain Valley so I guess it’s a little justified.

The food was okay. The snails were overcooked and and was really chewy. My brother ordered the salmon and the salmon came out dry. My sister ordered the mi quang and the flavor was not there and was not presented in a mouth watering way. The steak was cooked okay but the sauce was not flavorful or salty like other reviews said. The service was okay and Minh tuyet’s husband was here to also help and he was very nice. When I first got here it was slow. I thought it would be busy due to the owner and the reviews on the talk shows. The bill came out to 100 and the tax was 8 dollars.

I had the crispy noodle with shaken beef… HUGE serving!!! The meat was tender and the texture of the crispy noodles softened by the sauce was so good. My friend ordered the shaken beef with rice… I will get that next time! Haha the aroma will make your mouth water instantly! The beef was so tender and flavorful! And the service was pretty good too. It was a slow Saturday so the waiter was very attentive.

I’ve been wanting to try out this place. But the food is meh… We ordered simple things like Phở and Bun Bo Hue and it took them more than 40 min to bring them out. The service was terrible. The waitresses were nice but they running around, very unorganized. And it’s 87 degree outside but they had NO A/C!!! WTH???

Not going to lie I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a while. Even when my mom told me it wasn’t good I still came To find out for myself. Sadly I have to say service is the only reason why they’re getting any stars at all. There are way better places to get OC «sea snails and this Vietnamese pub food. I ordered the so huyet«blood Clams«which ended up to be itty bitty clams, and I mean itty bitty. No Bueno. Their ngheo hong goi«red clam papaya salad» is so sad. Flavor is good but the«red Clams» are a scary pale orange color. I see myself only picking at the papaya salad. Too scared to eat the clams. Probably not coming back. Should of known when I saw an empty restaurant.

This is the place to go to get great food, fun atmosphere, and super satisfaction customer service. Their menu offer many types of vietnamese bar food. The razor clam and snails were delicious!!! I gave 5 stars to Khoa, our server who has an excellent skill of being attentive to my family who was from out of state. He continue coming to our table to make sure if we need anything else unlike other restaurants that the server takes our order, bring the food, and then disappear. 2 thumbs up for the owner and all the staffs to make it an enjoyable dining experience. Thank you for your amazing food and customer service.

Good lunch place. They have a pretty extensive menu with lots of appetizers ana small plates, as well as traditional VN dishes and some nice specialties. I enjoyed Bánh bèo khay for a starter today. Perfect texture, good flavor and decent price at $ 6.50 for 6. Followed with a Gi xoài tôm nng.. mango salad with grilled shrimp. The mango and shrimp were both fresh and flavorful and it was a generous portion. I left feeling very satisfied. Had the Ramen noodles with shaken beef last time and it was also good. They have 10 different dished with Snails and my friend said they are good. So I’ll maybe try that and/or the Seafood Hotpot on my next visit. The pictures look delicious.

So I sit here in the restaurant and eat the grilled salmon, and ramen with beef… I am a food fanatic as all of my post will say but this for the price is a very poor excuse for a meal. The beef though cooked decently is edible. The ramen was a disappointment, tasted like a child undercooked it for mom and dad on a Sunday. The salmon well I won’t comment on it because I have never tasted salmon that had no flavor at all. The service, hmmm I’m Chinese and they treat me like I’m a foreigner that should be black and in the slave era at least that’s how they look at me. The portions are mediocre for a restaurant of tier supposed caliber. I am firm on leaving them with two stars and I’ll be generous cause my meal was free. Yes a free meal got that bad of a rating.

I ordered the Bo Né which is filet mignon served in a skillet with egg, salad and french baguette. This was surprisingly good. I didn’t have high expectations for a place located in a shopping mall including stores like Albertsons but it is definitely a great place to have lunch/dinner. The sauce of the steak was so delicious that I ordered another french baguette just so I can soak up the sauce and eat it. I will definitely come back!

Last time I drove by I ended up driving off because it was so dead empty inside. I ate at Tip Top kitchen instead and that was a terrible idea. This time I decided to actually give it a try and I did. It was still empty this time. The menu was in Vietnamese and had no photos. I looked through the photos on Unilocal and kinda figured out what I wanted to order. My buddies also came along and we ordered a lot. Bo Né(Sizzling steak with pâté sauce) — Great sizzling steak with the distinct pâté sauce. It also comes with a baguette bread and butter. Chicken wings — wings fried in fish sauce and garlic. It’ll get your breath stinky but tastes great! Xoi Chen — Crispy rice with chinese sausage and meat inside. So little but so good! Bo lu lac with garlic noodles — steak and garlic noodles. You can’t go wrong Phở filet mignon — A sweet tasting broth with really tender meat garlic fries — hot crispy and full of garlic. Recommendation: Bo Né, Xoi Chen, Bo luc lac garlic noodles, and garlic fries

This Vietnamese restaurant and bar is pretty good! Even though they don’t have many choices on the menu, some of their house specials are bomb! My favorite dish is Bo Né(filet mignon with eggs and mushroom) it’s only $ 11! Other places I’ve been to are about $ 17+. However their hot pot tastes okay to me… I don’t really like it but it is cheap! $ 11! It’s small and hidden, but a nice atmosphere :)
