this is the absolute best restaurant I have ever been to. I am a very picky eater but no matter what I eat it is incredible. Lots of people love it so it’s busy but the wait is short compared to so many other restaurants and they are pros at running it-never seen anything like it. And even when it is packed, you will always get your food quick(quicker than other restaurants that aren’t packed). It’s insane how they do it! wait for food is about 20 min? give or take? they’re ingredients are so fresh and I’ve noticed they have amazing tomatoes and their breakfast potatoes are to die for. Orange juice is also very good– not from a carton. The menu offers a ton and if I were to recommend someone to any restaurant in the world I would definitely tell them to come here. Overall: great service; very nice staff, cooks, and owner; AMAZING food, and clean/updated/cute design on the inside. On a scale of 1 – 10 I would rate every aspect of the Brunch Café a 10! Never get sick of this place! You MUST try it!

Never been or heard of this brunch specialty chain before a friend invited me, but I am happy to have accepted. This place not only has an amazing menu… The ambiance was cute, honey but not remotely worn out. This location is definitely a bit far from my normal stomping grounds, but not that bad a drive… and the service was spectacular. If you haven’t been to one of these, I highly recommend it. There are some locations closer to the NW burbs. Bookmark away!

Bring an appetite as the portions are generous. Even the kids breakfast are huge. The pancakes were fluffy, crêpe fantastic and potato pancake are amazing. Coffee is good and service is excellent. Wait wasn’t bad on a Saturday at 930. All round very impressed. Will be back a lot.

One of my favorite restaurants! The food is delicious, the service is quick and excellent, and the prices are reasonable for what you get. The stuffed potato pancakes are to die for! I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table, even when the place was packed. The parking lot is quite small, but it’s not a huge problem.

This place is amazing. There is usually a bit of a wait if you go during prime time, but when we go for a later brunch(1pm), we get seated right away. Their omelets are excellent and are big and fluffy(even when made with egg whites!). The Nacho Scrambler is probably the best item on the menu and has got to be one of their specialties. Both egg options come with a choice of pancakes or toast. The pancakes are more on the«doughy» side, which makes them taste even better. When we’ve gone with friends, the actual order of pancakes is huge! The coffee is great and the servers are really on top of keeping your cup full and making sure you have enough cream on the table. Many of the servers take the time to get to know the customers and smile at the«regulars» even when not serving them(definitely a sign of a good staff!). Overall, Brunch Café offers a great experience and delicious food and is definitely worth the trip.

The food is always good, and the staff is usually fast and responsive. It’s always crowded, so make sure to plan to wait a bit. They have a very good system for a waiting list, because it goes very quickly.

Heard this place was good and finally able to try it out and it was yummy!!! just had two scrambled eggs with their ham which the ham was a great big piece! As my side got the multi-grain carrot pancakes which were super tasty had the vanilla bean and whipped cream on side. the vanilla bean sauce was yummy. I dunked some pieces in that and then my coffee:) Boyfriend got the stuffed potato pancake with eggs and bacon looked huge! He enjoyed it. Will come back! There are tons of different options to choose from. Had a hard time figuring out what I wanted.

Just ordered the Irish skillet, the eggs were the only good part. The corn beef hash came from a can and looked liked dog food, the potatoes seemed boiled and fell apart, no substance to them. I got it with a side of pancakes which by best definition, not even comparable to IHOP. Thought this place would be good because of the reviews but sorely disappointed. The only shinning part is the service was great! Avoid here and go to egg shells in lake Zurich if you’re looking for a good breakfast.

Bad, bad, bad… We went there on a Sunday morning and waited for a table — standard everywhere on weekend mornings, so no problem there… We placed our order and waited, and waited, for our juices to be brought out. My orange juice was watery, at best. It was nearly flavorless. Then our meals were brought out and they absolutely destroyed our eggs. We order out eggs«basted» — think sunny side up, but with a little steam to cook the tops and set the whites and leaving the yolks runny, without overcooking and browning the bottoms. These came out with the bottoms almost solid brown, and the yolks were nearly completely cooked. We pointed this out to the waitress, who told us that their cook doesn’t know how to cook eggs that way. I find it hard to believe that a line cook at a breakfast place has never cooked eggs that way. Both my wife and I worked food service in restaurants, this is a basic style of cooking eggs. Regardless, we sent the plates back to recook the order and explained how to cook them properly. The eggs then came back runny, with the whites not cooked fully. We had to send them back again. The third time, they were closer but still not right… we just gave up at that point. We will not be back.

This place, ohmygosh. I will absolutely be returning. I had the Chicken Brunch Sandwich and it was PHENOMENAL. Grilled chicken with ketchup, bacon, lettuce, avocado, and apple all on a perfectly toasted ciabatta bun. Absolutely fantastic. And the onion rings were great as well. Our server was very friendly and the food came out quickly. It’s the perfect place for a girl’s brunch experience, even out in the far suburbs. I’m recommending this place to all of my friends in the area and will be returning soon!

I have a hard time understanding some of the very negative reviews — maybe just sour grapes on the part of some people. My wife and I have been here a number of times — almost always a wait line– which is a positive thing by itself. We have never been disappointed in our meals, the coffee, or the service, which is always outstanding. An awesome group of waitstaff. Today had Ay-Carumba, and South of the Border for my wife. Huge portions for both of us. Inexpensive — no, but well worth the price. Highly recommended this restaurant.

The service is what earns this place five stars. We came with a party of 20 and were seated and served together within twenty minutes. The waitress could not have provided us with better service. The menu has both breakfast and lunch items, from omelettes to burgers to paninis. Unique to most brunch restaurants, Brunch Café offers a bunch of interesting options for each menu item. Crepes and pancakes can be stuffed with various cheeses, sauces, and creams. Scrambles can be ordered with fruit and avocado. The menu definitely has something for everyone. Call ahead and make a reservation on a weekend morning or expect to wait at least a half an hour.

This is our favorite place for Sunday breakfast. They have different and original daily specials which we sometimes order. Like today, I had the Italian sausage omlet. It was great! They also had an Apple french toast plate which also looked good. I recommend it because no matter what you order, it is always good, and plentiful. You might have to wait for a seat, but well worth it.

My sister loves this café but they must have been having an off day with our meals when we went. I had the veggie potato pancake benedict. The potato pancake on the bottom tasted slightly mushy, and the cheese had a runny quality to it that was almost like eating the monterey jack version of Velveeta. Service was top notch though. Our meals were made in lightning time and drinks were refilled as needed.

So glad we finally made it here without a huge wait or line! Only 10 mins on Sat at 1215p. Decided to order our own little mini brunch, turkey artichoke panini, lemon poppyseed crêpe, and at caramba skillet w med poached eggs and english muffin. Everything was super good, freshly made, tasty, and not greasy at all. Place has pleasant décor and is clean, staff(Stacy) was really great! Can’t wait to come back.

Wow — almost 3 years since my last review and visit and I must say this place hasn’t missed a beat. I’m now working in the area so I’ll be there a little more often now. When I got there, the place was almost full around 12:40PM. I was sat and had my food in less than 10 minutes. Pretty good reuben sandwich, Stephanie was my server and did a great job — never needed to ask for a thing. I rarely write updated reviews, but over the 5 – 6 years I have been here, the fact that this place still consistently offers good service and food is a real credit to their business. Looking forward to heading back soon.

Great find! A bit of a drive for me but totally worth it. We had a short wait(20 min). The service was great — everyone worked as a team to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was simply delicious. In so glad we ventured out that way.

You know a place is good when you plan your travels around stopping here for brunch. It seems that I seldom make a trip to the NW burbs of Chicago without having at least one meal at the Fox River Grove location. Yes, the lines are often long on a weekend morning, but it is worth the wait. The staff is efficent at moving tables quickly and it is always a great place for people watching. The wait staff is always friendly and consistently good. Having tried a wide variety of menu iitems, I have NEVER been disappointed. My latest lunch was the stuffed avocado. It is an avocado with a ridiculously large helping of their decadent chicken salad surrounded by lucious fresh fruits. It was amazing!!!

Better than OK! We came in here on a Friday morning to try them out for the first time. They appear to be a smaller version of their bigger location in McHenry which we love. There are some slight differences between the two locations but nothing worth writing about. This location is newer and very clean. I would even go as far as saying that it is welcoming and looks like a nice place for the local crowd to come for a good meal. As we walked in we were greeted right away and seated in a booth. As I looked around I didn’t notice too many people but I only noticed one server who appeared to be working her butt off to keep everyone with fresh coffee or their food. The one server working her butt off came by and poured me my coffee which is always good. They have these flavored little creamer cups for your coffee which is a nice option. We already knew what we wanted to order so I went with a spinach and feta omelette with Greek toast and and a side of their potatoes. They also have those cool little jelly containers with grape, raspberry or strawberry. I have to say that the food is very good. Overall it is a good place to grab a meal. The only thing that needs to be improved is the server needs help. She couldn’t possibly keep up with the pace if it got any busier and you don’t want to burn out a good server.

I love going to Brunch Café for their selection of tasty and unique breakfast and sandwich items. However, I do enjoy a cup of coffee with breakfast and Brunch Café has what is probably the worst coffee that I have ever struggled to drink; I can only imagine that they over roasted the beans to a burnt mess and then threw an ashtray worth of cigarette butts and ashes in with the grounds before brewing. Honestly, that is just what it tastes like to me. I’d be more of a regular and give one more star if they somehow could solve this coffee disaster. If it’s this way next time I am going to ask them to remove it from the bill since it’s an insult to the taste buds to say the very least. Otherwise it’s a great place to satisfy your hunger with hearty meals and excellent service.
