My wife and I went there on Sat Feb 13 for our Valentines date, We decided to go for seafood and wanted to try Skipjack’s because we have never been. for apps we had the Dan dan dumplings and lobster bisque… the bisque I would say would be in our top three, the consistency, the flavor, the color, its definitely good. The dumplings was good too and the. chili sauce on the side. thats what made this dish special… it was housemade chili sauce and it was awesome… they should bottle that thing and sell it, I liked it so much I had the waitress pack the sauce to go. i had the skipjacks combination… the crabcakes was great… they did not skimp on the meat… the shrimp was good… the swordfish Skipjack style was great… cooked perfectly… at first I thought they overcooked the swordfish because of the color… but when i cut it and tasted it, it was still juicy and perfectly cooked. I hope they are like this eveytime and not just on this weekend. We will surely add skipjacks to our dining choice on special occassions.

First and foremost, food was very good but the service was so bad it ruined our experience. Yes we were there before Patriots/KC game. Waitress was clueless. She spilled drinks over our back. Messed up food order. Couldn’t get extra drinks or bread. We were entertaining clients! Boy were we disappointed. Drastically short wait staff while 3 people stood at hostess station doing nothing. Even mgr stood there. Never did I see him check dining room. Probably didn’t want to see the chaos. Worst of all I emailed them directly. Response said I’d hear from them shortly but they never ever replied. Very disappointing especially when you consider the cost at our table of 6. Won’t return.

I honestly do not know how this restaurant doesn’t have 5 stars. My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine’s Day LASTYEAR and we STILL compare every meal we have to the excellent meal we had here. By far the best seafood I’ve ever had… especially the stuffed shrimp! My boyfriend and I cannot stop talking about it after all this time. Even on probably their busiest day of the year, the service was awesome and the atmosphere was great.

We had a nice dinner at Skipjack’s for our anniversary, just tables away from the now infamous Chandler Jones and his girlfriend. So, needless to say, our meals were good and our view was great. The dining area where we sat in the middle tables wasn’t overly comfortable, but there were just two of us. Next time, I’d prefer a booth. In my opinion, the prices are a bit much, but overall good experience. Our waitress was very kind.

Bad service. I couldn’t get anything to drink other than a diet coke and I was sitting at the bar for almost an hour. Thankfully we didn’t waste our time ordering anything more than two apps — coconut shrimp was okay. rather small. Dear miss bartender — you are horrible and only paid attention to 25% of your customers, the seemingly regulars.

I have been here quite a few times and have always enjoyed my food and service. The Crab Cakes here always hit the spot and I am a huge fan of the Seared Ahi in what ever magical sauce they put with it. So so good. I am not a huge fan of many sea food chains(we all know the other other BIG one I am referring too here) but this place does a great job in the quality of the food, not trying to make it more then it is and letting the food and service speak for itself, which it does very well.

This place is sort of hidden away from the rest of Patriots place. An after thought at the end. I feel like a lot of the people that don’t have jerseys and are alraedy drunk will come here to eat before a game. The days that they don’t have games playing they serve with regular dishes i hear but the days they have games are all plastic for some reason, not a big deal but you would think you could walk outside with your drink but you cant. Pretty tight in most of this place, makes for a little bit of a fire trap i think. The drinks we had were one thing, strong, that also made them very terrible for two people that wanted drinks. Didn’t get food but in general the food looked good.

I can see why so many of the Skip Jacks restaurants are closing. This location was very quiet on a Sunday night when the rest of PP was hopping. The space is too dark and service was really slow. Not a great meal either.

Started with the seafood minestrone soup. Lots of seafood in a mildly spicy tomato broth. Could be a meal in itself. NE clam chowder was flavorful and lite cream. Both were very good. For the main course I had the broiled seafood plate sans the cheese. Everything was tasty and the light lemon sauce was a nice add with the breadcrumbs. The blackened Mahi Mahi was moist with just the right spice. Not too peppery. Baked scrod imperial was also very good. Cream sauce and crab stuffing on top.

Just stopped in to Skipjacks at patriot place for drinks and food after a movie. They wouldn’t serve us without an id. I’m 59 and my husband is 61. Clearly no common sense. No wonder the place was empty. We will never go back

I don’t typically write reviews but I was so upset over the meal I had to write something. My boyfriend and I live 20 mins away and we wanted to try a new place. We were seated in under 20 mins on a Saturday night and had our drinks in Hand in a timely manner. We had ordered the appetizer(the clams chowder and crab cake) which were good. After about 30 our entries hadn’t come out yet. He had gotten sushi and I had gotten the jambalaya. Then I noticed our waitress hadn’t come back over to check on us. I had to flag another waitress down and ask about our food. Our waitress, who was behind us heard me ask for her and then came over. Three tables sat down after us, ate their meals, paid and left before we received our meals. If the situation had been handled differently we may have gone back but probably not now. The food was okay for the price.

First of all the reason I give this restaurant two stars is because the service and drinks were great. My boyfriend and I went to skipjacks because we wanted oysters. Knowing that skipjacks has«fresh» seafood we thought we should give it a try, worst decision. We started with the oysters and they were terrible. Then we ordered and got our meals in which were gross and had no flavor. Feeling very unsatisfied and letdown we got our check and YUCK. The prices were WAY to high for the lack of quality. We will most likely never be going back to skipjacks.

Why 5 stars? Two words, customer service! Absolutely fantastic customer service in this place. Everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bus people are so helpful and friendly! At one point our server actually came over and brought my wife a new soda because«hers looked like it was watery» I mean really?! I have never see that anywhere! That’s awesome! Great job! Oh yeah the food is really delicious too lol. I had the baked scrod entrée and my wife had the pasta frutti di mare and both were absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked, came out piping hot and so good. We also had the clams casino and it was so freaking good!(We’re from NJ so MA seafood is just better anyway but it was really good) Overall, really really well done. Great job at this place. Very very happy. DISCLAIMER: price is a bit over the top, they charged me $ 9 for a side of pasta which is pretty ridiculous. Thank you!

The best fish I’ve tasted in the area. Perfectly cooked seafood. The menu is similar to most New England seafood spots with subtle differences in sauces and toppings that make all the difference. Their sushi matches most of the local Japanese basic sushi menus. The real reason to go here is a piece of fish that is lightly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Many thanks to the chefs here. The service is above average. The hostess/hosts’ are exceptional. The serving staff is attentive and the best by far in Foxboro. My only critique is that there is a lack of an exciting daily special menu that might entice a regular diner to return more often for a chance to try a unique dish. There is a menu item labeled as «Chef’s choice,» but our server didn’t offer any details Better than Legal in Dedham(on par with the Boston flagship Legal) better than Summer Shack, and certainly better than any seafood plate available at Pat’s place.

Okay, so full disclosure: I’m a bit of a Skipjack’s regular. My family is obsessed with half price sushi night on Wednesdays.(You have to sit in the bar area, and only the basic rolls are half price, but they’re literally AMAZING.) My favorite item on the regular dinner menu is the sea bass– it’s always cooked perfectly and the veggies it comes with are reallllly good. The service is always attentive and totally on point, too. Pete, the manager, is a GREAT guy, and really goes out of his way to make every customer feel special. However, there are two reasons– I’m going to call them«hidden gems” — that finally drove me to write a review after about a million times dining here. 1. They have a killer Sunday brunch. We happened to come for Fathers’ Day, and the brunch menu was great! I got the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and it was a party in my mouth. Also, they offer a $ 1 mimosa or Bloody Mary with your meal, which was a pretty fabulous surprise. Best of all, the prices of the brunch items are SOMUCHCHEAPER than dinner! 2. Now, last, but the literal opposite of least, I have two words for you. APPLE. CRISP. I usually don’t even LIKE apple crisp, but they staff was kind enough to bring a complimentary one over to our table one night, and I am not exaggerating, it’s downright magical. I don’t know what kind of dessert-crack they are putting in these things, but I legit dreamed about it for like 2 days after I had it. It’s one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, anywhere. So, if you’re feeling in the mood to «treat yo self,» go to half priced sushi night, and then splurge on an apple crisp. I dare you not to cry about its brilliance.

It is really pretty easy for a restaurant charging what Skipjack’s does to make decent food. Basically just don’t screw it up. Out food was all blah. I ordered the pasta and seafood dish and im willing to bet all the seafood had been frozen. The strangest thing was that the mussels, which are probably the cheapest part, weren’t local. My wife ordered a green goddess salad which was literally a pile of Boston lettuce. How does this place stay open?

First trip to area and our generous hosts made reservations here as we couldn’t get into Legal Seafoods. Great fresh appetizer Extravaganza. Really good quality. I had the Lobster which I haven’t eaten often. Meh. Pretty pricey but high quality it seems. What do I know, I live in Minnesota…

After a long day of working we decided to visit patriots place. After all they did win the last Super Bowl, had to see Gillette stadium. After raving reviews from skipjacks I decided I needed to try some northeast fresh seafood. I ordered the seafood minestrone to start with, had a variety of fresh sea food in a lobster tomato broth. All I can really say: DELICIOUS. But beware it is not a small portion, it’s a large bowl of soup I could have had that for an entrée an been happy. for my entrée I ordered the chefs special of tuna steak with noodles — it was a decent plate not the best tuna I’ve had before. I think it was do to the oversize of the it I received. The noodles were delicious yet painfully spicy wish I had a warning. No one mentioned the spice to me.

High-end, the place is legit. My girl friend said hands down it’s the best salad she has ever tasted. My dish was amazing, the ribs she had were very well made. This place deserves 6 stars, if I lived in Mass or RI I would probably be a regular. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
