I’m sure the only reason why people come here is to check out why angry hams went back to their old ways after John taffert fixed the place. Well don’t bother! Crappy crappy crappy. Such a sad place when you walk in and there’s nothing but probably the same old crew from back 30 years ago sitting in their same ol spot. Not a sole sitting at a table for food on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately my husband and friend wanted to try the wings. Well we waited 33 min for these wings and they are nothing famous. The usual. Fried buff wings. I’m all set with this place. Makes me sad.

We went here on recommendation from my daughter, whom had been here twice on Sunday nights. She had stated that the atmosphere was not the greatest but the Sunday night special — Prime Rib — was really good and was a great price $ 10.95. So, last night my wife and I thought let’s give it a try. Being the cautious person that I am I gave Angry Ham’s a call just after 5:00pm and asked if they had the prime rib special on. The front desk person said it was still on as it is every Sunday night. We get to Angry Hams about 20 minutes later and tell the waiter that we would both like to get the prime rib and much to my surprise he says«they are all out of prime rib” — I can’t believe it — he apologizes … hmm — out of the special before 6:00pm? I’ve been to a few places that have pulled this stunt before. As much as I would like to get up and walk out we don’t. My wife and I both order hamburgers. The burgers were just ok. Oh also, meant to mention that the welcoming committee outside the front entrance was three drunken guys smoking and yelling. So basically I have been here once and had a bad experience.

At least 6 months ago I found out Angry Ham’s offered a gluten free menu. For someone who has celiac’s or a gluten allergy it’s like hitting the lottery! Recently I ate dinner with friends and ordered a burger on a gluten free bun. When the food came out, I couldn’t help but notice that my friend who also ordered a burger but with a regular bun, had the same bun as me. I asked the server, who was very nice, if the bun I had was gluten free. He was unsure and went back to the kitchen. The manager then came over to tell me that they ran out of gluten free buns and that’s why they did that and asked if I wanted a «wheat wrap» instead. Baffled and confused with a smile I said I’m not sure that is gluten free. They brought the menu back over and I ended up ordering a gf pizza instead. By the time my meal came out, everyone else I was with was finished with their meal. I was bummed I didn’t get to eat with everyone else, but more so concerned at the lack of concern from the staff. They did apologize but it did not seem sincere. I would be very concerned for someone that was anaphylactic. Overall I will say Angry Ham’s can be a fun place to grab a drink. But if you are celiac or have a gluten allergy I would be very careful eating here! My suggestions would be to make sure everyone is aware if a food item runs out, everyone is aware of the allergen awareness, and that wheat is a form of gluten. With the new management I hope to see some positive changes after the transition. :)

This place has gone downhill. Back in say 2011 it was great, but now it’s not consistent. As an example yesterday I had prime rib and it was way over cooked. The meat was fine quality sure but the cook may not be competent, it was basically cooked all the way through like pot roast even though I ordered mid rare. We got pizza too, the pizza used to basically be the best in the area, now it is average if not a little below. It seems they’ve downgraded the ingredients or something to save a few pennies. Also the tables are covered in contact paper but it’s all peeling off and looks lousy. I write this review with love, I’ve been coming to this place since it opened and will continue to go, I like it in there. But I want them to wake up and save the business. Don’t worry about the silly online presence, I notice more activity on the Facebook page(which is actually a waste of time), focus on making kick ass food. I mean seriously, get a manager, walking around, observing, make sure the food kicks ass. Also the dollar coors light drafts they had a few years ago were great. Maybe I used to throw down 6 of those and the food seemed better? I don’t think so. It’s actually 2 stars, but I give 4 because I’m really rooting for them and don’t want to do any harm

Very disappointed in this place — popped in to buy Merchandise and was told — oh we don’t have any. Really? A tee shirt a mug nothing? It’s the holiday season ! The ladies behind the desk were quite rude. Won’t go out of my way to come back. LB — what a bummer if you’re still tied to this joint !

Loved the atmosphere which itself gives you positive energy and vibes. Severs are very friendly. Deserves a 5* but reserving that for even better places.

Sat at a high top for 20 minutes and not a single person came up to our table asking if we needed menus or even a drink. Never coming here again.

Décor is OK. Atmosphere is OK. Food is a little better than OK. But holy moly is the service terrible. Establishments have off nights… that’s not the case here. We don’t have kids to rush home to but I’m not looking to wait 20+ mins to order a drink and have to do a dance to get a server to come over. It’s not the staff — they are nice — there’s just not enough of them. It will ultimately be their demise I’m confident in that. And it’s too bad since there’s not a lot of local spots to grab a beer and watch a game. Also, they pump the sound in there so loud you can’t hear yourself think.

Smells like vomit in here. Literally like someone just puked. I came in expecting to order food, but lost my appetite. Not that anyone is in any hurry to try and serve me anything. Asked a «bartender» a while ago for a drink. Don’t know if she forgot or is more interested in chatting with the regulars. Sure seems that way. Just overheard someone say they’ve had better pizza at a hockey rink. Ha! I’m out of here. Never to return.

I hands down only came here because of Bar Rescue. There is no longer anything special about this place since they undid Jon Taffer’s magic but the décor is still nice and the kitchen flip stuck. The food is good. Pizza was great and the chicken noodle soup was fantastic. Beer selection is unimpressive. Trivia on Wednesdays is fun.

Pretty bummed out — that the AH seems to have gone down hill. I loved it, the excitement, the door ID checker for the first year. I never understood why this place did bar rescue — it didn’t make sense. The original set up was awesome. Been back numerous times, then went back for my last time last week. It’s kind of sad, you really want a fun place to hang out, a place that is open to all and is welcoming. It was far from welcoming my last visit. Got passed over at the bar 3 times the bar staff cater to the regulars only. The blonde waitress never remembers us and she’s had us 6 times. The drink orders were wrong 2 times and the food order was messed up. There is absolutely no accountability… just oooops I did it again. When a friend made a minor«complaint» to the manager quietly… well the manager must have told the waitress because we got the«cold shoulder» treatment for the rest of the night from the waitress and the manager guy. Almost like«how dare you complain». So bummed out, because the place was different, had a neat theme, it was fun place to take new friends out to eat, in the suburb area. Well…we’re going to try OConnells Pub as our group hang out place, does not feel as «clicky». Lets hope ! Sad to go. Needs a new manager.

Awesome food & a virtual Hall of Fame of sports memorabilia! Can’t wait to come back for a game or something. Jon Taffer removing the fratboy mentality & interior design was a great move. I’m curious if Framingham natives REALLY are offended by the Angry Ham’s name. I’m from out of town, so was just wondering because that seemed to be a MAJOR issue with«City Hall» & the GREAT Jon Taffer in the Bar Rescue episode.

Angry Hams seems to be a very happening bar. It’s perfectly serviceable if you can get parking. I haven driven away from there a few times because the lot is full. I have not tried the food there. I’ve only had beer. It’s a fun place to watch a sports game. It is worth mentioning is that they do not serve Jack’s Abby beer or have Miller Lite on tap. Considering Jack’s Abby is 2 miles away, I hope they can work it out. It’s definitely a townie hangout, but not a dive. It definitely does not stand out to me as Framingham has quite a few places that can compete on its level within a square mile. However as I stated, it is extremely popular. Give it a shot. Maybe you’ll find the magic I missed.

Remember when you went to college and draft coors lights were $ 1 and pitchers of beer were $ 4? Oh you went to a college in a more affluent area then I did… oh well then you missed out. ORDIDYOU? Bar prices of the early 90’s(or down south) are back folks. They actually have 12ounce $ 1 coors every day. «But coors lights are gross!» — you might say. Well get over it, its cheap beers and inexpensive food. The pizza is really good, Buffalo chicken is my favorite and they are pretty big. The wings and the potato nachos are also great. Everything is reasonably priced and if you order right for $ 20 bucks you can have a half cocked night out. The atmosphere is not super great but better than some places. Its right off rt9 and they have butt rock cover bands play on Friday nights and on Saturday. I tend to stay away on those days. But if your into that kinda stuff more power to ya. You get better service if you sit at the bar… like most bar orient restaurants. I like the pizza so much I get their takeout over delivery 60% of the time. It would be higher but, when your ordering pizza you are typically feeling lazy and or already had some drinks around the house and drivings not the best idea.

I wrote a positive review on this place back in 2012, but it appears things have gone downhill since then. Myself and a friend both ordered burgers, one medium and one well. Both were completely raw and uncooked. When I say raw, I mean the bun was covered in blood from the meat. We had to send them back and they were prepared correctly the second time around. Honestly, how do you screw up a burger? I forgot to mention. when we first walked in wanting to get a table, the guy(I’m assuming the owner) stared blankly at us for a few seconds. As we were waiting to be greeted, he says ‘you pickin up?’ We stated uh no we are in need of a table. Classy. So in a nutshell, poor customer service skills as well as shitty burgers. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Russ from The Verve, Crowne Plaza Natick sent us here. I trust Russ and he was raving about this place so we made a visit on our last night before heading back to San Francisco. Laura was our server and she was super attentive and the nicest. She recommended their spinach with my Spicy Grilled Chicken Bomb. Sooooo good. I got the gluten free bun which was perfect for me, as the overall size is a bit smaller. The chicken sandwich was spicy, though I did add Tabasco to make it extra hot. It didn’t come as a patty but in strips rather. I liked that the strips were grilled and not fried. This place is pretty cool with fun décor, pool tables, arcade games and tons of seating. We came to watch the first football game of this year’s season and we were super happy to see multiple TV screens on every wall playing something for everyone. For a smaller town, this place was packed for a Thursday night. Russ says that Jamie, the bartender, is amazing so if you’re at the bar. look for her. Wish we had more places like this in my SF neighborhood! Def coming back on my next business trip to Natick/Framingham.

My husband had been dying to visit as he is an avid Bar Rescue fan and we had been in the area two other times without being able to stop. I am not a big bar food person, but the food was delicious. He had the mac and cheese and I had the spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe wedges. Nothing greasy at all. The waitress was friendly and we had a great experience.

We tried this place a long time ago and it was just ok. About 3 months ago we tried again and we are hooked. We come here weekly now. Last week we had take-out pizza from here Friday night and had dinner here Saturday night. By the way the pizza is enormous and excellent!!! And here we are again tonight. The food is great, the service is good, the staff is nice and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. Full bar. Pool tables. Fun garage/car theme. Love it!

1. Its a Pub. I don’t enjoy pubs unless the food is off the hook. This one is not. 2. Food is TERRIBLE. Really. 3. Drinks are TERRIBLE, really(unless you are a college student or love beer). 4. Servers are bad — Really. I asked the poor thing what the«bubbly/champagne» they said they have was, and she said(NOKIDDING, ask the other Unilocalers that were with me!) «Its a Prosecco, from France. It comes in little bottles». I said: …“OK… which one? Brand”, she said: «FROMFRANCETHEONEINLITTLEBOTTLES». I drank water…(Im not going to give her name to protect the hard working, and clueless young lady) BUT the band was promising and we were dancing and the ambiance was noisy as all get out but we had a great time. I will stick with water and steamed pot stickers which believe it or not were quite edible, and enjoy the dancing and the friends. Management all around looks like someone kicked their cat — just not a good vibe — but the music was promising and we were dancing and its the holidays and THAT is what matters.(and the bruins won…)
