The chicken tenders could be better… The chicken tenders are the spongy chicken like in most chicken nuggets. If you change these to better quality chicken tenders, my family would probably eat more often at CJ’s instead of going to Kelley’s up by Jordan’s furniture. Otherwise, good breakfast and roast beef sandwiches.

In my opinion this place is average at best. I’ve tried several different sandwiches from the chicken tender club, the steak and cheese, burger.etc. ever been to a place where all the fried foods taste the same? That’s this place, don’t get me wrong-when I’m in the mood for a quick greasy burger this place is the spot. One real pro, the tater tots… ask for them well done and you won’t be sorry. Now onto the ice cream, forget about it-don’t waste your time. The ice cream is filled with ice chunks, the toppings are stale, the ice cream had no flavor at all. Just my opinion.

I walked in and waited at the counter as I always have during past visits, staff walked by me at least 5 times and did not even address my presence. Finally someone(who I’ve recognized over the years) came and asked«for here or to go», I said«for here», he rudely told me to have a seat and someone will be right with you(I’m here taking time from work to get lunch on a week day)…nobody came after a few minutes of being seated so we got up and left. I’d like to add the fries at CJ’s are not very good. I preferred the previous ownership… the roast beef was better and the prices were too. I prefer to give my money to nice people so I went to Rossini’s for Italian food instead.

Been a couple of times for breakfast on the weekends and it has been great both times. This past weekend it was packed and had to wait for a table. Even with a packed house there was one waiter for the tables and he was on top of it all. The eggs Benedict was awesome and only 7.99. Can’t wait to go back for dinner or lunch sometime!

Terrible terrible service. There was only one other table with people. The waitress never even greeted us. Even after we asked for a menu, she never returned to our table. This our third time coming here, and while the food has been typical diner type food, the service has always been below average.

I have gone here frequently and know there have been changes in management recently but today’s visit wasn’t good at all egg sandwich and home fries. You would go blind looking for the egg and sausage, and the home fries were just boiled potatoes with a little paprika it would seem they didn’t even make it to the flat top. Maybe it’s time to try somewhere new. Two thumbs down.

The clams and onion rings are pretty good here, and definitely worth trying. However, I was there last evening with a family member and we were both extremely disappointed with the atmosphere. A family of 5(two parents and 3 young boys ages 6 – 9 or so) came in, sat next to us in the front of the restaurant, immediately turned on the large plasma screen TV to Nickolodean, blasted the volume, and proceeded to settle in like it was their own home. The boys were running wild up and down the aisle, screaming and shouting, while the parents sat at their table, shouting back to them, laughing and hollering loudly over the TV volume. The CJ management should not have permitted this to take place. It went on for a good half hour. We were in the middle of our meal, so could not leave right away. When I complained to the woman at the register, she politely explained that these were«regular customers» who dine there often, and therefore she’d been reluctant to say anything to the adults about the noise and commotion they were creating for others. We will not be back as we don’t want to risk having our experience ruined by that kind of rude behavior on the part of other patrons while CJ staff look on.

The place is so cute. Great fries other than that, the food is pretty bland.

Fish and chips is great but the pan seared scallops are to die for! The grilled hot dog for $ 2.50 is an all American summer standard done perfectly. I love this place, even though they make possibly the worst cole slaw in America. Really guys, some of us actually like a good cole slaw. Step it up.

Awesome improvement in the diner. I will continue to eat there because the food is good and the quality of the vegetables and meats is apparent. The cooks know how to be consistent day after day, putting up the basics day after day. I love to see them offer breads and can I dream about apple pie for dessert. The cooks could add more class if they would think about how they might appear wearing whites. Keep the appeal and raise the bar to improve in all areas. Adding more emphasis to the outside tables would be visually appealing to many who drive by.

Best roast beef in the area! Pink and moist with an onion roll. Heavenly! Tap beers, fountain soda, scallops, ice cream and breakfast all day.

Wish I could give it more stars. Best place in town. Breakfast is amazing and a large amount of food for your money! Love the French toast and the chicken sandwich is the best I’ve ever had! Love this place. Clean and Red Sox festive! Great customer service and staff!

Stopped in for lunch, craving diner food. Figured I couldn’t go wrong with grilled cheese and chili. You get a lot of chili for the price, but it could be better quality. It’s very thick, almost like tomato paste. The meat in the chili was overcooked and chewy, perhaps due to the dish being microwaved rather than served hot from the kettle. I get the feeling it wasn’t made today. The grilled cheese with bacon was meh. The cheese they use seems to be Kraft Singles instead of real cheese, and that kind of irks me. The buttery marble rye bread was good. It wasn’t terrible for only 9 bucks, and I can’t knock them too hard from only this one visit, but I expected a little better than this.

This is my third review of CJ’s. We felt it had some growing pains which were reflected in my earlier reviews, but it sure seems to have outgrown them. We have taken out several times lately and been quite pleased. Last night we ordered the chicken pot pie and the turkey dinner. My husband said the pot pie is like a chicken dinner in a pie crust. There was tons of chicken. It was moist and the flavor was great. The turkey dinner was also excellent. I do not know what they do to the green beans, as there is not much anyone can do with plain green beans; but they are surprisingly tasty. The price is low so we thought that the portions would be comparable. That was not the case. There was enough left over for lunch. Well done. We will be back for more of your family dinners along with your other offerings.

Worse pastrami sandwich I ever had, I had to throw it away because it was more fat than meat. This place has gone down hill over the past few years.

I’m shocked i’ve lived near CJs for a few years, but glad I finally checked it out! Its a great diner atmosphere, good food and excellent prices. Oh and the portions. oh. my. god! Value for money for sure. I ordered a pancake dish with bacon, sausage and an english muffin. The order came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. I saw some reviewers talking about cold and bad food, but that wasn’t my experience. My wife got a french toast dish, which was another big helping of food. So much better than IHOP or other breakfast places we’ve been to.

Are you looking for a TRULY old fashioned diner experience complete with the full menu AND the personable approach that the owner has? Then CJs is the PERFECT place. The theme is Massachusetts professional sports and it’s warm and welcoming atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, even for«girls» like me who don’t pay attention to sports. When I go I’m usually there for a burger and fries. They serve the old fashioned steak fries which I have a hard time finding. The burger, even when well done, is still nice a juicy. Their ice cream is MORE than first rate. The portions are plentiful and the prices are MORE than reasonable. Most importantly, their customer service is first class. There is ample parking and they accept credit cards. My kids love going there as well. I only wish they’d open one north of Boston. A diner like theirs would be MORE than welcome. If you’re in Framingham or just traveling through the area go and check them out. You’ll be glad you did.

Basically a Disaster. French toast: burned(see pics) Omelette: got my order wrong(spinach and cheese instead of spinach and mushroom) — also made as an egg wrap which was just tasteless and gross. Toast: floppy — if that could be possible(see pics). Service: disinterested — «Um…you’re gonna hafta wayda minute,» she said. Bathroom: dirty There were two antique cars in the parking lot which were briefly amusing.
